I felt like it was necessary to reply to the negative review posted here on 6/25/20. The homeowner contacted us to repair a portion of gutter that had become detached from her home. The original installation occurred three years ago which falls outside our standard 2 year warranty and I let her know that we charge a service fee for the repair. To be clear, if we had made a mistake we wouldn't charge a service fee, even if outside of the warranty period. We would have no problem sending someone by to make corrections. But, in the picture she sent it was obvious that the gutter had come detached, most likely in a storm this spring. She claimed we never attached the gutter and it had been dangling from the house for three years. But, in the picture were obvious screw holes where the gutter had been attached to the fascia. Furthermore, it wasn't clear why she had waited three years to inform us of the problem. We have been in business for 16 years and ALWAYS come back to fix any issues a homeowner may have. But, with the way it storms here in north Texas it would be impossible for us to fix all storm damage for free. Thank you for your understanding. --Sam, Owner, Blue Ribbon Rain Gutter

Blue Ribbon did the original gutter replacement on 7/1917. On 6/24/2020 I contact them and ask how long warranty was and they said 2 years which I believe is standard. I told them the damaged gutter looked like it had never been connected to the fascia. I sent pictures and Blue Ribbon said that would be impossible because we don't make those mistakes. Blue Ribbon said I was just looking for a free repair because over time the gutter will detach. I said I just was looking for you to come out here and check it out to see exactly what the problem was. They said the service call would be $125. I said you want me to pay for a mistake that could be yours. In the end I hired another company to check all the gutters because if they were sloppy in that one area there may be other similar spots. The crew that came out said that the gutter was not connected to the fascia originally.

Very smooth install! Although they told us there was a backlog that meant we would wait 3-4 weeks for our install after our (free) estimate was made, we got a call from the company saying there was an opening in the schedule early in the third week of waiting. So their predicted install time was accurate. I was not able to be home as the install began, but was told as long as the crew had access to the back yard, I didn't have to be. I came home as they were finishing and all the workers were polite, on-task, and cheerful. When the actual install was scheduled, I decided to change one part of our planned install, and it was done accurately and correctly reflected in the bill. One worker knocked on the door to tell me they had finished, and when I asked who I needed to pay, he said, "Oh I just put the invoice in your mailbox. You can mail it in at your convenience." I mailed in my check a couple days later, and a week after that, the gutters got their first test in a gully-washer thunderstorm. Everything has held up well so far, two weeks in. My only complaint is that there were a few sharp strips of aluminum left in our yard, from the cutting of the gutters. Not many, but they were a bit hazardous.
