I called three times because the first two times were was an automatic hang-up, still giving benefit of doubt. Then spoke with receptionist and was put on hold for about 5 minutes. Nearly hung up, and someone else answered and before i could ask for an estimate, he says they're backed-up at least a week and a half. So i said that's not a big deal, then asked are you willing to give a quote or you're so backed up you can't take new business? He didn't answer and just said, " we don't give estimates for repair and charge (near $200 an hour, i can't remember exact rate) then i said ok well that's too high, i'll look....(hung up on me). So not going to call them again.

Great! They arrived when scheduled and were very polite, and complete. However, they were so busy, we had to schedule out about a week before they could come. I was on a waiting list during that time.

The plumbers arrived on time and coordinated with the city on our behalf. They also installed an owner’s cutoff valve for us so that in the future less coordination with the city will be necessary. The problem is fixed, and the project came in without exceeding the estimate for time and money required. The plumbers had to dig up at least one big yucca plant to accomplish the task, but they were careful with the plant, and it’s back where it came from and still blooming. The problem had something to do with our water line feeding the automatic sprinkler system, but beyond that I’m lost as to the details of the repair.

When I called I made one simple request: please have the plumber call me (the owner of the building) while on-site with their assessment so I can know what work needs to be performed and approve it, as well as approve shutting off the water if necessary as I've already pre-approved that with the other tenants. Sure enough, my tenant calls me after the plumber has left, done no work, and left the pipe openly spraying water. When I get a call from their office another 20 minutes later they say that they need to shut off the water and needed my approval first (revert to above), and when I tell them that I would have approved that while they're on-site their excuse turns to "we don't start work like that at 2:30". The appointment window began at noon, and my regular plumber has performed that exact same work by himself in 2-3 hours or less on at least 5 separate occasions in my identical buildings on the street. Simple instructions, too complicated for them. Basic work ethic to even attempt to stem the flow even a little bit before leaving without even informing the customer, non-existent. Avoid at all costs.

The firm I've been using for 26 years, after a camera inspection following a sewer backup, told me I needed to replace the 26-year-old line for $12K. Terry Wilson came to bid the project, looked at the video, walked the property with me, and told me I didn't need to replace the line, but did need to warn guests not to put wipes & sanitary products down the toilets. He was extremely knowledgeable, prepared (came with a city diagram of where the main is), and explanatory. His opinion accorded with that of another master plumber who came to bid -- and saved me the $12K I almost was suckered into paying, plus at least a week of messy work and the destruction of landscaping. I appreciate his honesty and will be using his company for plumbing from now on.

Punctual, professional, and excellent quality work. Wilson Plumbing re-did some repairs that were shoddily done by another local plumber. They aren’t the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I’ll go back to Wilson Plumbing the next time.

The project is not finished, but the work so far has been great. Very careful and thoughtful bidding of the work. Well-trained, knowledgeable and experienced crews did the work. Appropriate supervision every step of the way. Job site was kept clean and safe. Communicated with us every step of the way. The BEST!

Plumber said garbage disposal was not repairable but he could replace it with a unit he had on truck. He did so and new disposal worked and clog was gone. Dishwasher runs again.

I first used Wilson plumbing in 1995 and Terry helped me fix a problem that we thought was going to be expensive but turned out had a cheaper but effective fix. I recently used Wilson Plumbing for a major plumbing repair under my pier and beam house. The price was good, the workers were on time, professional, clean, courteous and answered all my questions. Sometimes the office can't get to you to schedule as quickly as I'd like but it's probably because they get a lot of business. But they work with you if you have an emergency or time problem.

The work as always was just as expected.

Another "plumber" had misdiagnosed the issue - this one immediately spotted the issue and was done fixing it in record time.

The first one was defective but, the problem was addressed in a timely manner. They installed another one which has worked perfectly since installation. Everyone was professional and nice.

We had a couple of plumbers come by. The first one showed us how to clean rocks and sediment from the faucet head, which helped a little. The second one (Wilson Plumbing Co) was actually familiar with the Vigo faucet, sort of rare in the US, and knew he had to remove a flow restrictor further up the faucet to fix the problem. He was very nice, efficient, and explain clearly what he did.

I have used them many years. I use them every 5-6 months, I live in an old building.

Having use Wilson three time \, I have to say I am totally satisfied with all aspects of their service. They are extremely professional. When replacing the water heater, I had several cheaper fixed price bids but Wison worked with me on a time & materials basis to give me a better product at a price that actually save me a few dollars. On the most recent visit they repaired a long-leaking interior drain pipe where a pipe had been put in the pipe by the homes original sheet-rock crew (some 25+ years ago). They were quick, took a great deal of care to make sure that when they left everything was as clean as when they arrived, and best of all; when I received the bill it was, in my mind extremely reasonable. I rarely write on-line reviews, but if you are looking for plumbing services in Austin I doubt you can do any better than Wilson Plumbing.

This company is my favorite service company in Austin. Their dispatcher is courteous and professional, as are their plumbers. Normally I'm cringing when people are working in my home, worrying they will break something or leave a mess - no worries with Wilson. Plumbing repairs aren't cheap - this summer we had to have our hot water line to our shower replaced, which involved cutting into the wall in our master closet - and they were so neat and careful it wasn't nearly as traumatic as I expected. They also rebuilt the pipes under our kitchen and bathroom sinks. No one wants to have plumbing problems, but these people are the ones you want if you do have them.

I initially called Wilson Plumbing with two concerns - I had a small leak in my water heater closet, and I wanted some way to wash my dog outdoors with warm water. The source of the leak couldn't be easily identified, and given that the heater was 15 years old and the plumbing attached to it was probably 60 years old, I opted to replace all of it instead of putting a lot of time and effort into locating the tiny leak in the old plumbing. I had initially been thinking about a big utility sink for the dog washing, but the drain was going to be an issue, so I decided instead on a commercial grade dog grooming faucet, to be installed on the exterior wall of the water heater closet. This would make the access to the hot water as easy as possible (I didn't already have hot water outside, as most homes do not) and that location was also located next to a paved drainage ditch. The installation seemed to go reasonably well, but after they left I found an issue with the faucet. The hot and cold were on the wrong sides. It was still usable, but to be safe it had to be fixed. I called and told them about the issue, and it was fixed soon thereafter. There have been a couple of other problems with the plumbing relating to the faucet, but Wilson Plumbing has been very responsive, and everything has been fixed in a timely fashion. I'm pretty sure it's all taken care of now (fingers crossed) and I know that if anything else does come up it'll be fixed as soon as possible.

Chris and Terry were fantastic. We found a leaky water heater in our garage and called up Wilson plumbing. I gave them the measurements and details, and they were quickly able to dispatch a plumber to replace the best unit and professionally install.

First, the woman who answered my phone call was very clear with with their relationship with Angie's list. Two men entered my kitchen, inspected the job, check to be assured that there was nothing in the old range, and unhooked its gas and electrical connections. Then they loaded it on a dolly and placed it in the garage, being careful to not hit anything along the way. they came back in, set with a new one in its place, hooked up the connections, assembled all parts, then tested that it will work. I consider these men I had done what was beyond the call of their duties, and I can totally recommend them to you. And, they automatically applied their Angie's List coupon.

everything went well. they worked with me to get the city to come out and turn water on and off, since my supply valve was frozen.

I chose Wilson Plumbing based on Angies list reviews and could not be happier with their service. We had them out on two different occasions to replace an outdated valve on our gas dryer hookup, help address an issue with a hot water heater (user error), replace another value in the handle of the master shower, and fix a leaky faucet in a guest sink. The first service call only dealt with the gas valve replacement. I was thoroughly impressed when I called to request the appointment, the operators questions and attempts to help me solve it myself without having me out. I took his advice and got a part and things still weren't working so we still needed their help after all, but I have NEVER had a technician try to help me do something myself and avoid a service call. It turns out the valve was an exceptionally older model that would have required a technician anyhow- they charge by the hour and the switch out took less than that. Then, we had a (again, user error on our part) issue with the hot water heater which they came out to help with- since that repair took about 10 seconds, I asked the tech to help with the two leaks - both were also done quickly. Tech was clean cut, helpful, and quick- and friendly with our excitable dog. I don't want more plumbing issues, but plan to call Wilson plumbing back when I do.
