Description of Work: I needy a toilet that was running to the point of overflowing repaired. Also, 2 other toilets needed new flappers.

+ -1 moreGene came by and checked the heating elements. He said one was turned down real low. He turned it up to a higher temperature and then check both heating elements and told me they were working as they should be. We now have plenty of hot water. Gene is a very nice gentleman.

Regardless when I have plumbing issues I always call Westmorland because they are professional, honest, on time, and get the job done right the first time. I have tried cheaper alternatives but the mess and hassle of return visits was not worth it. If I did have a problem, I know I can call these guys and they will make it right.

+ -1 moreI've had this process done many times by the same plumbing company over the years. Sometimes it takes 3 go-rounds to clear the drain. The plumber is very neat and cleans up after himself.

+ -1 moreWe have done business with them for a while. When they fix something, it generally ends up getting fixed. The overall experience was average. The price was good. The material they used was inferior. I felt that they recommended an inferior grade of toilet that was more costly than it needed to be, so I would render it an F. They came back twice to fix problems with the toilet. I don't expect someone to have come back to fix something that is new. They came when they said they would come. They recommended a certain kind of toilet, which I don't think was that good, and it was too expensive. We are not planning to use this provider again.

+ -1 moreI have used these people for more than five years and have never had an issue. NOW, that being said, they are not inexpensive. You can count on a bill of at least $100 for anything. But you DO get good, quality work and they show up when they say they will and don't leave a mess.
Description of Work: Westmoreland came to a rental house of mine to repair some very, very old plumbing. They were able to do a quick repair and both I and the tenant were happy.

Description of Work: My commode was stopped up. I thought it was in septic line. A young man came and took commode off floor and managed to find many tree roots that has grown into line. After hard work he extracted large mass of roots, disposed of them in his bucket, replaced commode, and cleaned up all mess. He was knowledgeable and very polite as well as very clean and presentable. Commode is still draining perfectly.

Description of Work: I have used Westmoreland Plumbing twice now for major jobs at my home – the first time to correct a builder error that left my home out of compliance and needed someone who really knew the right approach for a permanent solution before I sold, the second time (in the new house) to repair a nasty leak at the water main. I'm an engineer who watches service people pretty carefully, and I've seen some frighteningly shoddy work by other plumbers here in Austin. In contrast, I've always found the plumbers at Westmoreland to be honest and extremely competent. They're not inexpensive, but they're definitely worth the cost. You can also ask for one of their master plumbers if you've got a thorny issue that requires an unusually fast, skilled repair. The downside to Westmoreland is that they can sometimes be difficult to schedule quickly, particularly if there's a city-wide issue like a deep freeze. I honestly believe that this is because they're very picky about who they hire.

+ -1 moreThe work was performed very slowly. About 2 hours to replace a single bath faucet, repeated 5 times. They had no real knowledge about the products or progress. I received better advice from the Home Depot clerk on fixtures, sizes, etc... During the process, a part was lost and a bunch of time spent looking for it. A sink was dismantled and the faucet put together before realizing it wont fit on the sink. An existing piece was rigged together for re-use and ultimately replaced. All while being charged full rate. The only piece of the work really couldn't have been done by a homeowner they could not do and had no real suggested solution. Incredibly expensive with no real added value.
Description of Work: Replaced 3 bath sink faucets, one tub faucet and one shower trim kit.

+ -1 moreThey aren't cheap. When they come out, it doesn't matter what I need them to do they do it. They only send one guy and when they finish they are done. If we are dissatisfied then he comes back out and fixes it for free. They are extremely experienced. They only need one person to fix it. They only have really experienced people so all the guys know exactly what to do. We have never had a problem that they can't fix. My wife feels very safe around them.

They were helpful to give me first morning appt. since I commute to work quite a distance. They showed up prior to appt. time and were prepared and began work immediately. I loved the fact that they showed me how to unjam the disposal myself for future reference. They left no mess or debris and were very professional.
Description of Work: Unjammed the kitchen garbage disposal and replaced the faucet mechanism in the shower and installed a new shower head which I had purchased.

+ -1 moreThe experience was horrible. They showed up late and over charged me for the water heater itself. Unprofessional. They worked extremely slowly to milk the labor costs. When I spoke with management, they told me to call another company. They made no attempt to right their wrong. They stated that my business was not appreciated. They were late, rude, and overcharged. I wouldn't use them if they were the last plumber in town.
