Verizon

They are slow but we're out in the country. For what you pay for it's okay but sometimes is our phone is a long distance away so we have problems. Yesterday they had an internet outage for about 15 to 20 hours. There was no explanation other than when you called they said, you will be experiencing and it will be back up until 11 the following day. Their service used to be a whole lot better. The ability to get information during outages is pretty good.

They're terrible. When I download applications, it's not at all very fast. We're not getting a good signal here. They admitted that our signal here is awful but they won't do anything about it and they won't let us out of our contract either. We have to spend $300 for a booster. They were supposed to send someone out but they said that I would just have to buy a booster. I have a two-year contract with them. I drop calls all the time. We hardly get any coverage inside the house. We needed to walk outside.

I chatted with Verizon to ask about Internet service to our new home because the price I found through A.L. was very good and because my new neighbor has Verizon. My first chat session was dropped while I was waiting for the technician to locate my property. The second never could find the address and finally told me they didn't service my area. Really? Then how does my neighbor have Verizon? I've seen the truck and the worker working at their box. The technician asked me if I'd be interested in Dish network. I don't want Dish. I only want internet with Verizon especially since my phone is through Verizon. I am not happy with the person(s) I chatted with or with Verizon.

Debbie: They're very good, too. My husband will go to Colorado and and he'll go, and quot;Can I use your phone?and quot; because my signal is better than his. Verizon had a family package thing, that you could have a couple of phones on and they were about as much as one other provider we had used. Verizon is everywhere. It's really great and if something happens - something did happen to my phone and we got really no help at the Vorizon Store. But she did tell us something that we could do and so my husband was able to restore all the pictures on my phone. But she didn't know anything. So I don't know what kind of a thing I'd say about the people when you go in and try to get help. The price is about $120.00, I think. No, let's see, it was $169.00. It's gone up. It's been awhile, but the last bill was like $169.00. If the phones break or something and then you get another phone and they add the price to whatever on to that. But it's been running like $120.00, I think. And that's for everything, with two phones. For me, it's like - it used to be $60.00, but you know how they'll add on these surcharges? And so it gets up there, way up there. But my last bill was like $169.00 and that includes everything - text and data and everything. It is unlimited. You can call anywhere for the same price, Mobile to Mobile. When you go into the store, they greet you pretty quickly. When we went, we had a problem. I had a problem. We called first and didn't get much help. We went in and when you walk in there, they immediately give you a number or something. They do it in order, so that part was good, I thought. But it was busy because it was Christmastime and you don't really go in there Christmastime. It's too busy. There was no pressure by the salespeople to purchase a more expensive phone. I never get dropped calls. I don't think so. Their cell phone reception is very good. You have better reception with Verizon when you go on vacation. We have free long distance. It's all included in there, so it's worth it. Of course, I'm not one of these that gets on there and just calls all over the place. My husband will suspend my son's service if he goes over the limit and then call them again to restore it later. They're very good about doing that and there is no charge. My husband wasn't happy when we went in, but it was Christmas and I was upset because it was several days. I was thinking, and quot;Oh, no. All my pictures on my phone is gone.and quot; But she did tell him what he needed to do and so we were able to go to the store and get the little card to put into a computer and he was able to restore everything.

I love them and I would very highly recommend them. I travel quite a bit and my company provides me with a cell phone from another company that is not nearly as reliable. I would never switch because I like the Verizon network because I travel and I know my phone is going to work.

After using T Mobile for many years I switched to Verizon. They charge too much for their service just like all other cell phone companies but I have had absolutely no problems with them at all.

I have been with Verizon since December of 2010. You have to sign up for the contract with them for 2 years or you pay a bunch of up front fees. They are subsidizing monthly for these expensive smart phones, but we are happy with them and we might stick with them when our contract is up this December. We went with them because we heard good things about them and we were having problems with our provider, ATand T, at the time and we wanted to get rid of them. They are a little pricey. I can usually get somebody on the phone, there is usually a little bit of a wait, but I do get somebody to help me.

I'd like to compare their prices to other providers but right now I have a lot of things going on so maybe if I have time I will do that. There is service coverage to about 85% of the places I go, but there are places that there is no service. One time when I go to a local store in Taylor, the person that I had to deal with couldn't answer all my questions and he couldn't do some things that I need him to do. For the moment I am undecided if I will continue using them.
