Local family owned & operated. We are a small, family-owned granite fabricator located off of North Lamar at 183 in Austin, Texas. We’ve been in the custom countertop business in Austin since 2006. Despite being small – Toluca Granite is a full-service Austin granite company. We also make counters and tables in marble and from all of the major brands of quartz, including Silestone, Cambria Quartz, Compaq Quartz, Hanstone and Caesarstone.
Working with Toluca was by far the best experience we had with a service provider during our whole-house remodel. We met with and priced several of their competitors and Toluca was unquestionably the best value. The staff (specifically Alejandra) went above and beyond to make this process and easy as possible and help us find exactly what we wanted. They saved us from running around to various stone yards across central Texas by finding out whether a supplier had the stone we were interested in and pricing it for us in advance. In many instances, they were even able to get us photos of the slabs to make sure it was worth making a trip to the stone yard. We also had several unexpected delays (as happens with many remodels) and they were so patient with us. They were always on-time and in most cases, arrived early! They were clean, efficient, and professional. Our counter-tops were beautifully cut and are one of our favorite parts of our home. I cannot recommend Toluca enough and wouldn't waste my time calling any other fabricator should I ever need these services in the future.

I really wanted the white modern kitchen and hired Tolulca to put in white quartz countertops in my kitchen. I had waited months for this project and had emailed them pictures discussing the laminated edge on the large island and telling them I wanted a square edge everywhere else. They came to do final measurements after the farmhouse sink was installed and we briefly discussed pencil edge. I thought he was referring to square/pencil as that can mean the same thing. The countertops were supposed to be installed on Friday, but they called on Friday to tell me it would be Monday. They were late installing on Monday and when they showed up the edging was pencil ROUND. I immediately called to ask why the edges were round and they told me that was what I ordered. They said they had sent me a link showing the edges. This was the first I had heard about a link to look at the edges they offer. I have no idea where they got that I would want a rounded countertop edge. I went back to look at the invoice and it did not have it on there. I sent them an email where I asked for square edges along with the picture of the island I wanted that showed the edges as square. They said that I would need to pay for more material in order to get this fixed so they went ahead and installed the countertops. Its so frustrating to pay $10,000 and not get what you ordered. I really had my heart set on a modern kitchen, but I feel so defeated. I had used Toluca for my upstairs bathrooms and they mis-measured the countertop. It was 3 inches too long. They came back a couple of days later and had taken too much off one end. I ended up with only 1/2 overhang (normal is 1.5 inches). I have used Toluca one other time and had a great experience, but will not use them again. They make mistakes and do not fix them. There is too much mis-communication with Toluca as I have had two projects in my house go wrong. I won't use them again. I don't know if its under new owners, but they have really gone down hill the past couple of years.

I had the granite on my kitchen island done by Toluca a few months ago and the only reasons I didn't write this review sooner are 1) I thought I'd already raved about them and 2) I've been using the island so much it's been hard to get a photo of it with the counter clear. After a horrible experience with a contractor who left the kitchen unfinished, the folks at Toluca were patient in explaining my options, working within my budget, and accommodating an unusual amount of back and forth due to the misdeeds of the other contractor. When the crew came to do the install, they were courteous, professional, efficient, and nice. I've already recommended Toluca Granite to neighbors and would do business with them again. A+

When I first contacted Toluca Granite I had no experience in doing an upgrade to granite in an existing home. They were very helpful and informative on how the process works and all the steps involved. They made it easy. I ended up picking 3 new slabs of granite for the kitchen and master bath; and granite remnants for the second and third baths. A Toluca coupon on Angies List enabled me to get the granite for bath 3 for FREE!! Toluca came out to my home and made very detailed measurements of the all the intended granite locations. They even made a template for the kitchen granite, to make sure they got it right. When install time came, Toluca's install crew showed up on time, and were very professional. They were meticulous, with great attention to detail. The installation went perfectly, and the granite looks fantastic. It's like a totally different house now. I will definitely use Toluca again in the future and I highly recommend them to others.

My delivery date was rescheduled multiple times. I felt like my job was not important because it was relatively small. It was about 3-4 weeks after the final measure that the counters were installed. They were more difficult to work with than another fabricator I have used.

Every other company we contacted quoted around $75, they quoted $150. Even at $150, we would have to be flexible to wait until they were already near us on another job so they were not even making a special trip. $150 for less than 10 minutes of work is just crazy....

This place is excellent. I dealt with numerous other granite companies and one of them was so bad I actually had to tell them to give me back my product that they had attempted to retain. Toluca Granite was punctual and very professional. They walked me through the whole process and did exactly what they said they would. When they cut the granite on site, there was a miscommunication and it was cut differently than I wanted. I brought the issue up, and they immediately went to the yard and grabbed a new slab and set a new installation date. VERY easy to work with, very professional, and wonderful work. I even asked the guy to bullnose the slab, which he did by hand in the house. I can't say enough about this company. I will be using them to redo the entire bathroom in the future. Don't make the mistake I did and try to find another place, this is the only company worth using in Austin.

Toluca Granite was very responsive, prices were reasonable, and they were easy to work with. My only concern was that the granite next to our fridge was laid with the granite running perpendicular to the grain of the granite on the sink side. We complained and they came out within a few days to replace the piece at no cost to us. I would recommend reviewing a layout in their shop before installation. The only other minor complaint I have is that there was one small chip near one of the seams that was filled with epoxy and is hardly noticeable. They were extremely professional and I would use them again.

Toluca Granite is a great company to work with! My project went so smoothly-there is not much to say except how awesome they are! Nancy was so helpful-she suggested a gorgeous budget friendly marble when my original granite choice turned out to be more expensive than anticipated. She always responded to my emails quickly. My install date happened sooner than originally scheduled! It went great and when I discover a minor flaw(a couple of inches of the counter top did not have a finished edge)-they came out immediately and fixed it. in My new kitchen counters are just stunning. I will definitely use Toluca Granite again.

Toluca Granite installed vanities on all of my bathrooms. At first, I was hoping to find remnants to save on cost. Unlike other granite places who just let you loose in the remnant lots with no guidance, the folks at Toluca guide you through the lot, helping you to find pieces that are the right size and shape. They were so patient as I came back time and time again, and even gave me the heads up about pieces that were coming up. I also liked that all the remnant prices were the same per sq ft, so if you found something really high end you could get a great deal. Unfortunately, the sizes that I needed for my bathrooms were too big to find remnants. Toluca has a great list of suppliers and I was able to go visit the warehouses and find the perfect slab. We love it. Toluca did a great install job- fitting pieces for the vanities, the shower bench, the windowsills and the soap niches. The install was very fast. Due to the piece of granite that I chose, it cracked several times. They patiently recut and reinstalled it several times until it was perfect, never asking me to compromise. I plan to go back when we do the counters in my kitchen. I won't even look elsewhere.

The install went very well all-in-all. We are doing all of our kitchen remodel ourselves - all but the countertops. I preface with that because we ran into some construction issues that directly affected the countertop install but Toluca Granite was patient and understanding and helped us work through the issue. Basically our cabinets from this house built in '98 are about an 3/4" lower than the brand new stove we bought. I found this out when the countertops were installed and the stove edge was resting in mid air above the counter tops. Toluca came back out, helped me evaluate the solution which was to add 3/4" decking to the cabinets, uninstalled the countertops they just installed, and once I installed the decking came back out and re-installed and didn't leave until it looked perfect. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

I checked on Angies list to find a few granite companies to get bids from. I received a call that the representative was running late but would be here soon. When he arrived he apologized for being late and got to work measuring the area to be installed. He seemed knowledgable and their bid was a hundred less than the next lowest bid I received so I went with them. In preparation to the install, most of the messages I left to Nancy were returned promptly however; there was some kind of problem with the phones and her calls kept going over to messaging so I didn't get them promptly. I gave her an alternate phone number for a phone that connected directly to me but the calls kept coming into the phone that forwarded to messaging. Although I take the blame for having one faulty line...the delay in response could have been reduced if the alternate number provided was used. The date for the install was delayed a day. I understand how delays in service can occur and was fine with rescheduling for the next day. On the next day, the granite crew were late. We thought they were to arrive at 9:00 and they arrived at 11:30. I was not notified they were going to be late so I called Nancy to make sure they were still coming. My husband waited to be at home when they arrived and lost a half days work because they arrived much later than they said they would. The granite install went ok. No major surprises. The guys did a great job and the granite is beautiful. There was some confusion about what was to be done on the backsplash prep and install. My husband had removed the old backsplash and put drywall compound over the torn areas hoping to reduce the amount of work for the installers. We had laid out the tiles on the countertop - to show how we wanted them to be installed. The installers were polite and after showing them the materials and that we had them laid out the way we wanted them to be installed, they started to work. After they left, we had an opportunity to really look closely at the job and discovered the tiles bowed out on one of the walls and the trim was crooked. I received an email that they wanted $100 more for the install than the quoted amount because of extra cuts (subway tile?) and time it took to decide how we wanted to have the tiles installed (note my comment above - we had laid them out prior to the installers arrival). When I shared the problems with Nancy, she sent the installer (Antonio) back out. Antonio was very polite but said the problem was because of the prep work done before the install...(we assumed part of what they were supposed to do was to prepare the surface before installing them - per the invoice -repair drywall from demo, modifications and work). I shared this with him and he said he could rip out the tiles and reinstall them. This was a difficult decision...we had paid over $800 for tiles that were fragile and were told by the supplier that they may not make it through a rip out without breaking. The thought of ripping them out and purchasing more to replace them at this point was too stressful so we told him to just forget it. I love the granite I choose and the install is nice but I'm still disappointed in the backsplash install.

There was a problem with the first slab they brought. They contacted their Caeserstone rep and allowed me to check another slab to make sure there were no imperfections. They got back with me on a timely basis. Honorato, Nancy, Blair and Jorge were all helpful and professional. I would recommend them.
