I left this same review on Yelp! I spent two years getting quotes (interviewing contractors) to replace the siding and windows for my 1984 south Austin home. TWO YEARS. Each contractor/salesman was slimier than the one before. I'm talking Home Depot, Renewal by Anderson, etc. And then I got a subscription to Angie's List and these guys were #1. With like a gazillion reviews. In comes Chris - our salesman. Within minutes, I knew that if the price was right, we were going with these guys. The Bid: We didn't mention that we had been looking forever or what the previous bids looked like, but I'll tell you - Vinyl siding - between $12k and $16k and Hardiplank siding between $15k and $20k. Windows between $7k and $10k. Titan's Bid? $18,500 for everything. 13 vinyl windows. And a 1,200 square foot house sided in already-painted Hardiplank with the new beaded look. PLUS, no one had been able to hand us a bid with the brand and model of the windows in the contract. Or the painting. Titan's bid was all-inclusive. Even replacing up to x (I can't remember but we didn't even come close) feet of rotted studs and ruined insulation was included. It took about 4 weeks to get all the materials in and then Steve (contractor for the windows) called with an installation date. They arrived Friday at 9AM and they were finished at 1:30. Chris, our salesman, stopped by in the middle to check on things, and Mike, the Owner, stopped by once they were finished and opened and closed every window in the house with us to make sure we were satisfied. He even caught a window that wasn't up to code, and the replacement will be here this week. They're just going to switch it out real quick. Ok, Monday morning the siding arrived and they got to work. They were mostly finished by Friday. They came by the following Monday to do the punch list and finish out all the painting. My house is brand new and my a/c bill is already lower than this time last year and it's only been 2 weeks. Every day, Steve (different Steve - this one was the siding contractor) cheerfully put up with us coming home at lunch to inspect the house. Mike answered no fewer than 450 questions about why this wood was replaced and this wood wasn't, etc. Always happy to explain things to us in detail. They were always available via text or phone and even set up special payment arrangements for us. I don't recommend having a special arrangement, but when we ran into a snag, they were VERY accommodating, even though I'm sure it put a strain on things for them. I know this is a very long review, but I'm telling you, I've never seen anything like these guys in this business. They are trustworthy, attentive and considerate from Sales pitch to follow-up satisfaction. Mike, Chris, both Steves and the crews were extremely professional. Thanks for everything, guys!
Description of Work: Replaced 13 windows and the siding on the entire house.

UPDATE: 8/13/13 FINALLY, a partial crew arrived today under the pretense of repairing the damage they initially caused. Not only did they arrive late, but Mike Connors refused to complete the repairs he had previously agreed to in writing, & even when I pulled up his email, he refused to comply with his own statements. I explained we had professional advice regarding the masonry repairs & what needed to be done to prevent further damage to our home (from moisture, etc.) , but he flat out said he didn't care what I asked him to do now or previously, he was NOT going to make the repairs correctly. So I simply walked around & reviewed the repairs he DID feel like doing; he doesn't care about repairing damage caused by his subcontractors, & he STILL missed things on the list provided in June (ie: removing obvious red paint from white stone on the front exterior). Once again, Mike Connors (verbally) threatened us with lawsuits & criminal charges. He refused to state who his attorney is, though, so I merely told him to have his attorney call mine (whose name I gladly provided, even though I sent it to him already). Of course, Connors simply continued to debate me on why his threats are justified (which I'm told are not legally valid) & why he's not responsible for his sub's damage to our home; I told him to take care of the red paint & just leave. I could comment & explain everything he said incorrectly in his response below, but there really is no point...or space! I understand people have different experiences--this is our experience & I think you should know what type of owner you're dealing with if you exercise your legal rights in TX with this contractor; according to him, no one else ever has before us. NOTE: when dealing with lender draws, homeowners must sign docs that the work being paid for (with that specific draw) is completed to their satisfaction. It wasn't, & he refused to do the repairs. Also, Mr. Connors left numerous blanks on the draw forms (what work was done, how, when, by whom, etc.) so my husband didn't sign them. Again, this is within our legal rights. I even obtained correspondence from our lender's attorney verifying our understanding was correct. Once we had copies of the signed lien waivers (which according to Mr. Connors' email to us, took so long because his workers were busy with other jobs), & he had agreed via email to the requested repairs & the completed, signed draw docs, were available, my husband signed them & another pymt was sent. Saying we kept 100% is just a lie, as are the comments about my husband, some other contractor, & the 1st walk-through. Quick Glance: 1) Took about 2 weeks instead of a few days per contract; 2) Initially refused to install the siding product we wanted, though it's clearly offered in the company's brochures; 3) Threatened to walk away from the job when we insisted on the product we wanted all along (and he had already signed papers with our bank); 4) Subcontractors would just show up without advance notice and leave without informing us (this was important because a. my husband and I both work from home, and we have two dogs, one of which is a guard dog who needs special arrangements before we have strangers banging on the house and walking in and out,, and b. because we couldn't ask for paint corrections, etc., before the workers left...once I was told they just left before finishing "...because they got tired..."); 5) Subcontractors damaged several items on our property - lights, outdoor statues/figures, stone masonry 6) Refused to complete the punch-out list and complete the contracted work (remove red paint from stone wall, seal holes created during removal of old windows and siding, correct sloppy paint job around window areas and entry, repair damage to stone walls (holes and cracks in mortar - serious risk of moisture, etc., causing even more expensive damage); 7) Subcontractor / foreman trespassed on our property by entering backyard without permission and with no advance notice they were coming (painters had been gone for at least an hour and half) -- I was quick to walk out and tell the foreman it better not happen again, especially since I've informed all of them about our guard dog and we have signs posted along the fence / gate doors saying "Beware of Dog;" 8) The light that was broken was located on our back porch area, and the glass was not cleaned up - potential hazard to us, our son, and both our dogs; 9) Company owner threatened criminal and civil actions against us because we invoked our legal right to withhold a percentage of the contracted amount. The Texas Constitution allows homeowners to withhold "statutory retainage" for a certain time period to make sure subcontractors don't file a Mechanic's Lien (which I've seen happen hundreds of times because I'm in real estate) when the principal contractor doesn't pay the workers...the sub has the right to get paid so they can legally file a lien on your house -- most people waive this right by signing certain documents -- Titan's contract has this Waiver on the back of the contract, and we refused to sign that Waiver of our rights); NOTE: from what I've been told by real estate attorneys, a Final Bills Paid Affidavit (in TX) only covers the "principal contractor," and does not protect the homeowner against subcontractors / workers from filing liens on your house if they haven't been paid; Titan also claimed that no such waiver is part of their contract, though it clearly states otherwise on the back of their standard contract form. 10) Left the siding exposed in our yard on two separate occasions...this matters mostly because we were told the siding product would be covered until actual installation so that chances of scratches / damage would be limited and Titan would not be required to repaint the entire project (since the owner complained about a prior customer requiring this when the same product / color were installed on her house, and he refused to do such action with our project); 11) Arrived for the final inspection / walk around at a time when he knew I had to leave for another appointment - I notified his foreman and him (verbally and via email) days ahead of time that I wouldn't be there after a certain time, but he arrived right before I had to leave- I felt that was a very unprofessional response / action; the owner (Mr. Connors) later claimed that he didn't have to perform the punch-out list because I wasn't present when he did the walk-around with my husband at that time. 11) Owner called my character into question when I refused to waive our legal rights to withhold statutory retainage; I could provide many quotes where he showed his enormous lack of professionalism, but I'm not sure they would pass the filters on Angie's List, so I'll just say his email came across as sarcastic, angry, and spiteful. My husband initially met with the owner of Titan. Papers had already been signed at our bank when Mr. Connors told my husband that he didn't want to install ColorPlus CountryLane Red - he explained the last customer who ordered that product made him repaint the entire house because there were so many scratches / touch-ups that it looked sort of polka-dotted. He did not speak kindly of that experience or that customer. He said that since he didn't want to repaint a house again & he wasn't going to install that product with that color choice. So I did some research (including talking to a specialist at the manufacturing plant and some contractors I know) and learned that when so many scratches require that amount of touch-up, it's due to poor installation. My husband and I met with Mr. Connors together, and I proceeded to ask standard questions such as, "How long have you worked with the subcontractors you're using on this project?" I also told him what I learned about the product / color, and that I had spoken with several installers of this product who all agreed with the manufacturer. Mr. Connors did not hide the fact that he felt offended during this conversation, saying he was right and they were wrong, and even said at one point, "No one has ever asked me [these] questions before." He finally agreed to install what we wanted, the ColorPlus CountryLane Red but refused to repaint anything if it looked bad after install; he also said he actually preferred to back out and have us get another contractor because he didn't like my questions and he didn't want to install the color / product. Well, we had already signed the papers when he decided this, so backing out wasn't a very viable option for us. I'm in real estate, and have been in real estate related careers since 1990 (title/escrow, mortgage, sales agent, etc.), and have worked with many contractors. I explained that what we really cared about was him doing a good job, installing the product we requested from the get-go, asking the installers to be extra careful with the product, and simply providing us the same warranty he provides everyone else. Also, because I have worked with many real estate attorneys and know that in Texas, homeowners can be forced to pay subcontractor liens filed on property if / when the hired contractor doesn't pay them, I told Mr. Connors that we were not signing the Waiver on the back of his contract. He didn't seem to care, and promised to tell the installers to be careful. And then the REAL drama / saga began....and it's still going on because he still hasn't completed the entire job (though we do have new siding, gutters, & windows now). I have photos of the careless work, including the broken glass, the broken statue, and paint messes on our windows and stone exterior, and the cracks/gaps in our exterior mortar. Because Titan refused to complete the punch out list, we have had to put plastic bags into the mortar cracks/gaps and then place Gorilla tape over the bags to keep them in place and (hopefully!!) keep out moisture until the repairs are actually completed.

Response from Titan Siding Windows & Exteriors LLC
We always seek and appreciate “constructive” feedback from all our clients to ensure we continue to provide an exceptional customer experience. In this review many details were exaggerated, distorted or simply left out. Regardless, we have been and are still committed to resolving ANY concerns this client may have. First, it is important to note a few things about Titan's policies. Titan takes no payments up front for any of our jobs. Clients only pay for services once the work is completed (or substantially completed meaning the job is complete or near complete with only minor touch-ups left). In this particular case - the work was performed more than a month ago, and the client still owes Titan over $1500. A partial payment of about 80% was finally received over 35 days after the project’s completion. The job was completed on June 20th - there are a few very minor paint or mortar touch ups that were requested by the wife several days after a final walk-thru with the husband. The emails below sent to the clients the day after a partial payment was received reflects our continued commitment to resolve any and all concerns (including a couple issues noted that were not included in the contract or present as a result of our work). -------- Original message -------- From: Titansiding Date: 07/17/2013 6:59 PM (GMT-06:00) To: [member name removed] Subject: Punch out [member name removed]- I got the partial draw on the siding, paint, and gutters. Can you give me a couple of dates and times next week so when we can resolve your punch outs? Best, Mike Connors President Titan Siding, Windows & Exteriors From: [member name removed] To: mike.connors@titansiding.com Subject: RE: Punch out Reply-To: [member name removed] You will have schedule this with my wife. I believe you have her contact info. From: Titansiding Date: July 18, 2013, 7:51:11 AM PDT To: [member name removed] Subject: Re: Punch out Will do. Thanks. Mike Connors President Titan Siding, Windows & Exteriors At the request of the client (above) I sent an email to his wife the same day requesting a time to come out and handle any touch ups. This request is below. Date: July 18, 2013, 1:57:16 PM PDT To: [member name removed] Subject: Re: Remaining items to complete job [member name removed]- I got your partial payment on the siding and gutters. Thank you. Can you send me some dates/times for the first part of next week (about 2 hours) that you will be home to finish and inspect the attached touch up list. Best, Mike Connors President Titan Siding, Windows & Exteriors At the time of this writing (7/30/13), we have yet to hear back. I followed up with a call on 7/26/13 and another e-mail to both clients as we truly want to conclude this project. Titan makes an investment in each client and shows our confidence in making each job a success by not taking any payment until the job is completed. In this particular case - it has been a continued challenge to obtain payment from this client even when the job was completed. When the job was completed on 6/20, I sent an e-mail and followed up with a call and let both clients know we were ready to settle up for the siding, paint and gutters after walking the project with the husband. The wife contacted me four days later via e-mail asking for a "Final Bill Paid Affidavit.” We supplied this as well as ALL cancelled checks for all our subcontractors and "paid in full" invoices from all my suppliers. At this point the client had documents of everyone we had paid including the amounts we paid. She then declined to pay anything until we provided notarized subcontractor and supplier lien releases. It took about two weeks to collect these releases as one of my suppliers was in another state. State law allows 10% “retainage” to be held back by the client for 30 days ONLY absent the contractor PROVIDING the lien releases. This covers the client against liens filed by subcontractors or suppliers after the job is done. Despite paying nothing up front, having cancelled checks from all my subs and paid invoices from suppliers, and being provided a notarized "Bills Paid Affidavit" the client chose to hold back 100% of the payment. Over a month after the job was completed the client paid less than 80% of what was owed. We are used to working with a wide variety of customers with different personalities and expectations. No matter how hard we try to make every customer happy - we sometimes find a client who is difficult to please no matter what. During the final walk-thru of this project, the member’s wife declined to take participate. The husband came over and apologized to me. He told me that I should not take his wife’s actions personally as she was mad at him for not fully including her in the contractor selection process. He also shared what a terrify job we had done and that he planned to write a "great" review on Angie's List as "he" was the member and would handle the review. I told him that I appreciated his kind words and that I was not worried about the review as much as trying to make them happy customers. I let him know that I take it very seriously when customers are not satisfied. All of the issues she complained about were very minor and fixable. In fact minor issues like this are not uncommon in construction projects of this size and we would ensure they were fixed. During this conversation he also informed me that she treated the previous contractor in the same way. We are not perfect. During this project we did break a light bulb (not a light fixture as noted by client) and we did chip a tiny 2x6 inch lawn ornament (which was repaired). We apologized at the time and in return we offered compensation including money to replace, not charging for installing and paying for two new gable vents, by doing some extra painting free of charge and giving the homeowner the left over materials that we typically use on our next project. This amounted to several hundred all to make the homeowner happy and take responsibility for the bulb and the ornament. Minor incidents do occur from time to time and we always do what we can to go above and beyond to fix them. We are extremely hopeful and open to repairing this relationship. We look forward to completing the minor touch ups and moving forward with a happy client with a beautiful home. We can only hope that the additional details provided here give members a more balanced account of what took place. For the most accurate account of how we operate and a more realistic depiction of how we do business, please review our 60+ "A" ratings on Angie's List. We always welcome any questions from other members and as always I’m available to speak with you directly.

Before the project began there was a walk through so the site manager, Steve, and I understood the project. Once the project started, everyday a Titian owner would drop by to see how things were going and asked if I had any questions/concerns. That was a shock to see an owner show up. If I ever had an issue or wanted to add/change something, it was addressed without a problem. Mike and Chris were very nice to work with and made me feel like they were there to make sure I got what I wanted and that I was very pleased with the work in progress. Steve, the site foreman, was very nice and made sure the work performed by siding crew, painting crew, and the gutter man met my expectations. All the crew members were very nice and very precise about their work. Titian is an excellent company. They always had someone there overseeing the work. Not something I have seen lately, on other projects. Titan's concern for a QUALITY JOB and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION was the NUMBER ONE thing I saw in thiscompany. Their business values remind me of the way we use to see business done in the USA. Our house looks beautiful, there is less sound from outside, and we have noticed our air conditioning running less. Great value all around, from a QUALITY BUSINESS, TITAN SIDING AND WINDOWS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND THE WORK THEY DO TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS HARDY SIDING. GET JOB MIKE, CHRIS, and STEVE!!!!!! Found a great company TITAN SIDING AND WINDOWS and made some new friends!
Description of Work: I have a large two story house with brick and siding. The old siding was remove and replaced with Hard wrap and Hardy board. All siding, soffit, and fascia got Hardy. They removed and added new gutters. Porches that did not require Hardy were cleaned and painted. Also any rotten wood that was found during the work was replaced and insulation was added, where needed.

It is a big job and there were some weather delays. The end result was exactly what we wanted. Mike Connor and his team were attentive, thorough, conscientious and very neat. The clean up was meticulous. The neighbors are coming over to admire the work and ask for references. We would be happy to be a reference for Titan.
Description of Work: We selected Titan from three siding contractors from Angie's List. Their price was fair and the quality of their work and customer service was outstanding. Titan replaced the original siding from when the subdivision was built out with HardiBoard and painted it to our specifications. We will ask them to replace our gutters next.

Wow! Blown away by this company. Mike Conors and his crews were extremely impressive, starting with the initial meeting and quote. First of all - he's very honest. He didn't try to up-sell expensive windows - even though he carried the top of the line and was willing to install whatever I wanted. He recommended some good windows and siding that would last and wouldn't break the budget. He backs his work with a strong warranty. He did a quote right there and then and laid out all options and expenses in detail. There were no surprises either - what he quoted was exactly what we paid. He wasn't the low bidder, but was definitely lower than some of the other companies we looked at - very competitively priced. The work crews showed up on schedule, were well organized, very professional and skilled. The crew leaders were very knowledgeable, patient, and a pleasure to work with. The crews were neat, and cleanup was done each day. After installing all the windows - THEY CLEANED THEM!! The siding and painting crews were awesome - and got the work done quickly - awesome painting job. Mike Conors, the owner, made a point to show up each day and go through the work - pointing out corrections, for even minor details that I had missed. Any questions or issues I had were answered promptly and respectfully. We had a weird shaped triangular window installed and, instead of going ahead and installing it, one of the foremen let me check the outline of where it would go,. Very smart thing too, because it didn't look right and didn't quite match what we wanted. I spoke with Mike about it and he apologized and offered to re-order the window at his expense even though we were working off a "fuzzy" spec (we had not given him a drawing for this it was pretty much verbal). A contractor with less integrity may have fought against this and pressed us to install the window as ordered or charged us for the re-fab - Mike did not. Thanks to Mike and his team our window now looks awesome! Mike didn't charge us a penny until the work was done and we were satisfied with it. He and his crewleaders were responsive, knowledgeaable and honest and professional. Overall - it was a super experience. I would recommend Titan any time.

From the initial contact through the end of the project, Mike from Titan was punctual, concise, and responsive. Window Install: Titan's windows installers were quite simply perfectionists. They showed up with a team of 7 guys and worked throughout the day and swapped out 23 windows in two days. They ensured that every window operated smoothly and correctly, that each window was spotless (they had a guy cleaning each window with a razor blade!), and rehung all my window treatments as they were prior to install. Siding Install: Titan's siding installers were equally proficient as their window counterparts. Their crew worked sun up to sun down for about a week. In addition to replacing siding, they were able to find and repair an electrical problem in the walls that my electrician hadn't been able to pin down. They rebuilt several posts and facia, and afterwards our house looked as if it had been built yesterday. After all of our previous home improvement projects, we've also found a few niggling details that we've chosen to ignore instead of fixing. With this siding, there's nothing that we've found to ignore -- and we've actually gone looking for them. The few minor things we had in our punch list, Titan's team resolved the next day. Overall Impression: We couldn't be happier with both the window and siding installs. The experience was positive from the initial contact through project close. Mike and his people worked with us throughout the entire project, were very responsive and conscientious. Given our experience with Titan, we cannot recommend them highly enough and would use them again in a heartbeat.

However I would highly recommend them to anyone. Mike did two estimates for us and provided detailed cost breakdowns with specific explanation of the work he proposed. The quality and detail their estimates left me with no doubts on how they would proceed and what I could expect. Of all the estimates I received, they were the most prompt, professional and detailed. Give Titan a strong consideration for your job, you won't be disappointed!
Description of Work: We did not ultimately select Titan due timing circumstances and the overall scope of remodeling that we needed.

I initially contacted Mike Connors, the owner of Titan Siding and Windows, at the very end of 2012 to discuss having siding replaced on my home. The original 20 year old Masonite siding was in poor shape on three sides, especially on the North facing side due to water damage in a few spots from failing paint. Mr. Connors was very accommodating in setting up an on-site evaluation, he even offered to come out on New Years day 2013 to inspect the home and work up a cost estimate. Initially I was mainly interested in replacing the siding. During the inspection, I also asked about window replacement and how this might fit into the siding work, could window replacement be done in stages, siding in stages, etc. Mr. Connors was helpful in explaining how the work would need to proceed if windows would be involved, saying that windows would need to be replaced first, then siding replaced around the new window openings. After a thorough examination of the home exterior and a few interior areas, we sat down to discuss several options involving various siding and window estimates based off of extent of work in each area. To help with choices, he had sample units of the different grades of replacement windows to show me so I could see the look, construction, and functional operation of each style. Ultimately, I chose to have 3 sides of the home re-sided with James Hardie ColorPlus® (the remaining side was still in good shape, I would paint that to match), re-facing and painting gable and fascia trim, replacement of 9 windows, and installation of new front and back entry doors that I would provide. Also, there was special consideration for dealing with a carport structure that would involve some non-standard efforts to work around, as it was an add-on that sat very close to one side of the home. He assured me that his crews would be flexible in working with this task, as well as his estimate of what I felt was a very reasonable small additional cost if the carport would need to be temporarily moved and re-set afterward. He left me with his work cost estimates and additional information on the window and siding choices for me to make final decisions on these details. In all, I felt very pleased with his estimates and was comfortable with moving ahead with what I felt was a fairly large project on my home. I followed up with Mr. Connors a week or so later to finalize siding and window choices. I was wanting to get a better idea of siding color choices, and asked if he had sample pieces I could borrow to help pick out a field color to use. Again, he was very accommodating, and offered to meet me at my place of work at the end of the day to allow me to take home samples to use for choosing a color. Once I made a final choice on siding color and window style we discussed the time frame for beginning the work and how things would proceed. Again, he was very helpful, answering all my questions. As the windows would be made to order, I understood that this would be the main driving factor for when work could begin. He provided what proved to be a very accurate estimated time frame. I was advised me to expect follow up contacts from his main window and siding crew leads Steve Meurer and Steve Wallace to set the exact dates for work. As promised, I received follow up calls from both the window and siding crew leads to come out and make final measurements for siding and window orders. Just as with Mr. Connors, working with his window and siding crew leads Steve and Steve was very easy, they were accessible and responsive to my questions and concerns. Each of them came out in turn to get measurements prior to proceeding. With this completed, the start of the work began with the window replacement. Work began on a Saturday morning when Steve Meurer's window crew came out to remove and replace my windows. They were amazingly fast, and each crew member appeared to know exactly what their job task was and how to work along with each other efficiently. The removal of the old windows and installation of the new ones went very smoothly. Regarding the door replacements, I had made an error and picked up the incorrect inswing style for the back door. I felt awful about making this basic mistake, however, Steve Meurer offered to take the door back to the home store and exchange it for the correct one, and complete the work. In one day, I had nine new beautiful windows, and two new doors installed! The following Monday the siding order was delivered and Steve Wallace's siding crew began siding removal. Right on time, the siding was delivered and the crew arrived shortly afterward and quickly went to work. Upon inspecting the delivery of siding, an error was found with the texture of trim siding in my order (I had requested smooth, they delivered cedar texture, the same as the field siding texture). I discussed this with Steve and also reached Mr. Connors by phone to discuss options. I was assured that the error was not on the side of Titan, in fact, I was shown the order sheet they used to put in for my materials. After some consideration, I made the personal choice that the trim detail was not critical in light of my wanting to see the work continue without a delay, and that the texture difference was a small detail to me at that point. Even so, Mr. Connors offered to reduce some of the cost off of the siding job as compensation for this error. I felt this was great, even though the error was not on his side, he wanted to make sure I was satisfied. Over the next several days the siding and carport tasks were completed. There was only one day of delay due to high wind concerns with the crew working with long siding planks up on high scaffolding. Aside from this the work had no other delays and the crew did a good job of cleaning up outside the house and getting the carport structure (literally) squared away after re-siding the difficult to access areas between the house and carport. Dealing with the carport proved to be a considerable challenge, however Steve was very creative and persistent in finding a solution to work things out, and everything was completed safely and set right back into place. In all, the siding work was completed by Thursday, and the carport put back in place Friday. Total time for all project tasks was exactly one week. It is well worth noting that several times during the work, once after the window installation and after the siding completion, Mr. Connors came out to inspect the work progress and meet with me to ensure I was satisfied with everything. Also, he was always prompt to follow up with me by phone when I had questions either before the work began, regarding the estimates, dates, etc. and during the work when I had questions regarding the process. I never felt I had to 'track him down' to ask a question or get confirmation, he was very accessible and thorough. Now, with my painting tasks complete on the fourth side, my entire home looks brand new! I can already notice a huge reduction in the frequency and effort of my HVAC after replacing the 20 year old, air-leaky aluminum cased windows. What more can I say, I am very pleased with the outcome. Given the job cost, overall professionalism of Mr. Connors, Mr. Meurer, Mr. Wallace and their crews, overall thoroughness to detail, and desire to see me as a satisfied customer, I am very confident in recommending Titan Siding and Windows to anyone considering work like this for their home. Great job!

We had a new roof and gutters put on our house. The roof was not a simple job in that there were many levels and tie ins - beautiful architecturally, but a nightmare for making sure the water runs off properly. We had leaks in two areas so they paid particular attention to those areas to remediate the issues. There was some rotten siding that had to be replaced as well that they took care of. Mike and his team worked on the roof for two days to get it complete. The gutters were installed on a different day and he took care of painting the replaced siding. He also painted the facia board, in an area we could not reach, that had not been painted under the old gutter before he installed the new gutters. That was a nice attention to detail that he could have just ignored and put up the new gutter. We haven't had any significant rain to test the roof yet, but it looks nice.

Its just quote and no work yet and they were really great. I was very impress because I thought of I was going to do the entire house but I change my mind and I will only fix them in part and he doesn't know this is all work but ended up giving me recommendation or reference to someone that is really good but Titan Siding, Windows and Exteriors, LLC staff are very professional. They have competitive quote, extremely professional and very willing to help and very detailed in everything. The paperwork was great. The quote was very thorough. The person is extremely patient answering all my questions.
Description of Work: I am actually shopping for a siding work so I got quotes from two other companies and Titan Siding, Windows and Exteriors, LLC is one them.

After our selection of our new windows, Mike provided us a contract within a day and scheduled his crew foreman to come by and take exact measurements. Mike told us that it would be approximately two weeks before the window order was ready. Two weeks and one day later, Mike called to schedule the installation. Mike's crew arrived exactly at 9am as scheduled and set to work removing the old windows and replacing them with the new ones. They did an excellent job, cleaned up after themselves and were finished by 5pm. One window sash came with frosted glass in error. The crew installed the window and the next day Mike emailed us that the window manufacturer would be out within a week to replace the sash with the frosted glass with a new one. True to his promise the replacement sash arrived five days later. It was obvious to me from the start that dealing with the owner of a business is way superior than dealing with an employee since Mike's and his company's reputation relies on what he says and does.
Description of Work: In early January 2013, we contacted several contractors to replace the eleven, 25 year old windows, in our house. Mike Conners the owner of Titian Siding and Windows came out within a day or two of our calling. Several of the other contractor's made appointments of up to a week later. Mike was very professional. His company carries multiple windows by different manufacturer. He answered all our questions and discussed the pro's and con's of each type of window we chose. Our house has several different siding materials (rock and vinyl siding) and Mike's explained in detail how they would install the new, thicker windows.

I've been waiting until we had some cold weather to write my review--and so far we haven't had much this winter. The work was done very efficiently, on time, and on cost. Do double-pane windows make the house warmer? I would say yes. Even though we keep the themostat set the same, we do not have use an extra blanket at night like we used to, and I don't have to wear a sweatshirt all the time to feel warm. I haven't had the new windows long enough to actually compare heating costs, but it sure feels warmer to me.
Description of Work: We had new windows put in the old part of our house which was built in 1950 and had the original wood-frame, single pane windows.

They were really wonderful. The owner came and really communicated well. He brought lots of samples and worked with us to figure out what the best windows were for our house. They measured very carefully. He put it off because his best measurer wasn't there. We were amazed at how fast they did the installation. They looked beautiful. When the inspector came out, there was one place where a little painting needed to be done. The owner came back and matched the paint and painted for us. They went beyond the call of duty. The windows are so easy to open and shut. We are very happy with them. They are beautiful. They are also keeping out some of the cold and heat. The price was comparable. We would absolutely use them again.

From the time we first approached him for a bid, Mike Connors at Titan Siding, Windows, Exterior stayed in touch with us (not pushy -- just guiding us in figuring out what we needed/wanted.) We changed our minds a lot, but Mike was patient! He really went above and beyond, giving us a new quoted price, as needed. Mike Connors heads up several teams of professionals; they know their attention to detail is paramount. The team leaders and Mike check everything! The windows, siding and painting teams did great work, but Mike's follow-up visits revealed one thing that wasn't meticulous (to his expectations), and he had the problem corrected! Believe me, we would never have noticed. Teams: The teams were here on time -- they were so pleasant-natured, it taught me a lesson in morning civility! Cleanup example: We have some stickery Holly bushes up against the house where the guys were working... they even cleaned up under that area -- more than I've ever done! They also used a rolling magnet to clean up any metal! In the next year, we are going to ask Titan back to do some more windows/siding/painting on an addition we're building. I think the best way for me to express my appreciation for Mike Connors and his Titan team, is to tell you that I've referred them to my sister. I trust Titan Siding, Windows, Exterior to ace her renovations as well as they did ours!

I used Angie's to select a few top rated contractors for siding replacement at my home. I met Mike Connors from Titan Siding & Windows and showed him what the works was and my take on the things that needed to be done. Mike was the only contractor that pointed out what needed to be worked on and what wouldn't be needed, saving that money. He kindly answered all my questions and I felt confident in his expertise for the work. I consulted him about one window in particular to replace (that window has the most sun exposure, specially in the summer), but saving money in other areas allowed me to do a full replacement of a total of 7 windows with vinyl, double pane windows, and I can tell the difference for the better already with the cold days we recently had. The work was done using Hardie Colorplus siding, replacing all the back and side windows, new trimming using JH trim, install thermal wrap on the side with the most sun exposure and replace the gutters and paint to match. Additional work was found when we saw the gable mesh damaged and that birds had made a huge nest inside the attic;the crew removed the nest and replaced the gable mesh. Also, the chimney box below the roof line was mostly rot, and they rebuild it. There were minor follow ups on issues the crew fell a bit short (painting the side door while closed, which caused the door to stick and then the paint peel off when opened, or painting over bird poop on a gable vent, or securing several soffit vents that had missing screws, all minor things that I either fixed myself, or need to do additional work before resolve them. There was follow up needed after the inspection, where the City requested that a window modification letter be filed and interconnected smoke detectors installed in every bedroom: although the new window occupies the exact same opening of the previous window, the fame is about one inch thicker which brought the windows out of compliance to a 48" floor to opening code. Mike followed up with the City, got the necessary smoke detectors installed and got the permit closed. The discount offered as an Angie's member was very nice The house now looks great and several neighbors have stopped by to check it out. Between the siding and the new windows, we don't feel the cold spots we used to near the old windows. We are looking forward to the summer to see the energy savings in AC. I definitely recommend Titan Siding and Windows.

Picked three Angies List contractors to give me a price estimate. It was a very difficult decision because all were qualified and did a great job on the presentation. We chose Titan because of the variety of windows they provided at a great price We innately thought we wanted fiberglass window but after being educated though the internet and the contactors we picked upper end vinyl windows. It is amazing how bad our old windows were. The only hassle is with the City of Austin inspection but I guess we should expect that. I would defiantly recommend Titan to all of the Angies List members. I don't usually write reviews but the other reviews helped me so much because it can be very confusing. Good luck with your window purchase..

Mike, the Titan president and estimator, arrived with samples and wrote a proposal for my immediate review. I accepted and awaited an installation window. Mike called soon thereafter and scheduled the installation. During the installation, Mike and his team made several appearances to check the progress of the installers. The installers were mindful of the careful handling of materials and the condition of the property, and were efficient with their time. Numerous obstacles to easy installation were overcome and everything was done as I had expected it to be done. I felt confident in this contractor and was not disappointed. Too often contractors are not considerate of the customer's time or property, but my experience with Titan was a pleasant one throughout.

Overall the job went really, really well! We initially contacted several contractors with good reviews on Angies list and then checked out their BBB ratings. From there we invited several to bid on the job. The bid from Titan was thorough, quickly done, and very reasonable considering the complexity of our roof. We had one roofer with good reviews on angies list even refuse to put in a bid (or let us know that he was declining to bid until we called him! yikes!). Titan, however, showed up quickly for the estimate, then provided a written estimate within a day. The job was scheduled for the following week and they showed up when they said they would, did the work, and picked up after themselves. I was pleased they helped us to select a good color and made the process so painless. They kept us updated throughout the process with emails and photos. I was pleased to see that during the installation they were very safety conscious for their workers - and had them wear safety harnesses etc to make sure no one fell and got hurt (it is a very steep roof!!). We are selling this house and were able to get a transferable warranty from Titan for the new owners -so down the road if there would be any issues the new owner is covered- which for us is a great selling point. The job looks great and we got a number of compliments from our neighbors and from our realtor. Overall we would definitely work with Titan again.

I had used Titan for installing a gutter about a year before so I knew about Titan's professionalism and quality of work. The windows/doors took two days with no call backs. I especially liked the way Mike bid the job. He started by educating us about the various types/brands of windows/doors (about a half-dozen of them). With each he pointed out the advantages and disadvantages as well as the relative cost of each. At no point did he try to push on us a single one but did supply his opinions and reasons for those opinions. After spending 2-3 hours educating us his bid came in second to the lowest by only $200. The other three firms which we called for a bid spent no where near the time that Mike did and tried to sell us one manufacturer's windows without even giving honorable mention to competing alternatives. Of course I would definitely use Mike's firm again and plan to when we get ready to install siding on our house.I give Titan my highest recommendation. George Launey
Description of Work: Mike Connors and his crew performed in an exemplary and very professional manner in installing eleven vinyl windows plus two sliding glass doors over a two day period in November, 2012. Titan's crew did a very good job cleaning up their work site after they were finished and hauling off the old windows and doors. They worked quickly and efficiently. The first of the two days was required for the window installations, the second day was devoted to the two sliding glass doors. They were finished and gone by 3 p.m. on the second day. Mike did not expect a cash deposit up front but did expect payment in full upon completion of the job.
