The Remodel Pro

Remodel Pro was one of 4 firms we obtained estimates on for bathroom remodeling project. Owner was friendly, competent and would probably have done a good job. I did have to ask 3 times for the bid after he visited the project site. We ultimately went with another firm, even though they were a bit more expensive, given the difficulties in getting a bid response

Grant did a fabulous job on the remodel of our outdated 1980s guest bath. We were very impressed with his skills and couldn't be happier with how the project turned out. I designed the space and it was great working with someone who not only understood my vision, but was able to execute it perfectly. Every guest that comes over comments on how beautifully everything turned out. We will definitely be using him again for any future remodeling projects.

Grant promptly returned our call and scheduled a visit. He reviewed our needs and made several useful suggestions. We were in the midst of vacation travel, so the bid was a bit slow arriving, but things got back on track soon after our return. Workmen appeared as scheduled and one or two painters was at work everyday. The job quality was extremely high and the painters took great pains to minimize mess and cleaned up carefully after every work day. On the final day, Grant was back with brush in hand to tidy up and thoroughly check the work. He noted that an area of trim had been painted a little differently from that in a deck area that I had done previously. I brushed it off as not important, but he went back and redid the work so that it perfectly matched the template. In all a very professional job. We do plan to use The Remodel Pro for future planned work.

Grant was great. I would give them high marks for everything. His schedule and mine just didn't jive. All things were excellent.

It is obvious that Grant takes tremendous pride in his work. There was not a single detail of the bathroom remodel that was not completed perfectly. There were a couple of things we needed fixed along the way and Grant got those items fixed right away. In addition to the high quality work, Grant is very experienced and well connected. he was able to recommend a great designer to us and the subcontractors in our home did a great job. Our home was left very clean each day and it was obviously that Grant tries to disrupt day to day life as little as possible. Most importantly, Grant is extremely honest and forthcoming. He is also an all around nice guy who is very easy to communicate with. There was a lot more to remodeling a bathroom than I expected and the fact that I had a contractor I could trust and who was easy to communicate with was invaluable. Grant has my highest recommendation as a remodel contractor.

We found Grant on Angie's List and invited him over for a discussion on our project. He was prompt to return our calls and was able to come by one evening when it was convenient for our schedule. The work was to make two rooms into a new master suite, incorporating old reclaimed pieces, and Spanish style texturing. The work was done quickly with Grant being on site or doing the bulk of the work himself. During the process we added on some kitchen work as well. He cleaned up the job site daily, is personable and friendly. We now have him back in our home starting yet another major project.

I can't say enough good things about working with Grant. He's reliable, punctual and straightforward. He came to meetings we agreed upon, provided quotes up front and stuck with them, and completed the work exactly when he said he would all while communicating constantly with me via text. phone, and email. I'll definitely hire him again.

Spoke with Grant and he gave me a referral to a contractor that can do the work. He was prompt in returning phone call and immediately giving me a referral.

We had a great experience. I bit out the work and they came in lower and also had great reviews. My wife was home while the work was being completed and she said they the people were very polite and worked hard. I set a time frame for when I needed the work to be completed. They started a day late which worried me but completed the work on time and within our budget. I can highly recommend Grant and we will use him again.

Overall, Grant did a good job. He didn't have a copy of his estimate, therefore, when I brought mine up and pointed out some smaller things that he was supposed to do, he said he didn't remember it and said he didn't have time to do them. However, I paid his original estimate.

First of all, this is my first home purchase, so everything is new to me and very over-whelming. Almost every aspect of home-ownership has gone over-budget, and i had to enforce a strict budget policy during the whole process. Now that i am in my new HOME, my family LOVES it and that's what this review will be about. Grant was referred to me by my neighbor and great friend (Tyler) after i closed on my house. After buying our dream home, i had Grant (The Remodel Pro) come over and quote the work. The price was on the high side and we had to take out a few items that we wanted done to accommodate our budget. Even though Grant has had great reviews here on Angie's list, I needed to do a bit of research to make sure that the pricing was still within reason. So, I quoted 2 other painters/ handymen to do the same work and they were in the range of being 10% cheaper. When i met with Grant again to discuss the deal, he was extremely sincere and explained all the differences between what he would do for me versus other general contractors. He went into details such as texturing, paint choice, workmanship etc At first i really wanted to save the extra 10% (remember that i was very much over-budget) and to go ahead with the cheapest bid. I did choose the lowest bid with a moving company (but that is another story which i may review here later) But something in my head clicked and i wanted to work with a friends' referral, someone who has been consistently rated A on Angie's List (here) and a local small business (Grant is the owner and he does get his hands dirty everyday on the job!) Well, after 2 weeks (he started and finished exactly on the dates he said he would) i can say that, the house looks better than new! no paint in the wrong places, no drips/smears on the trim or floors. i don't know how to describe it, but if you can imagine having a wife who is borderline OC (I married her because she holds herself to such a high standard!), and she can find no fault; then i am a happy man. Grant pointed out and happily fixed some minor things around the house as he worked, he was always in control of the few guys he had coming in to help during the few days they came in... i really have nothing but good things to say about the entire 2 weeks with Grant. The intricate chandeliers that my wife loves and bought, they had a small glass dish at the very top that was not installed when Grand put the lights up. When i informed him, he came back after a few days, removed the lights (took him an hour each), put the pieces back and remounted them! And as an extra special bonus to me.... (coming back to the moving company story , they ended up breaking and damaging almost every piece of my furniture. I had a buffet console leg snapped off and they leaned it again the wall to hide the fact, and a TV console with part of the front legs' screws sheared.) When Grant came over to re-hang the chandeliers, he noticed those 2 pieces of furniture and offered to help me repair them!! And he did a darn good job of it as well! I am not saying that he is a furniture repair guy or that he will do everything for free, but he's a caring person who is willing to use all his experience and skill to make his clients happy; that he will do things like this to make moving into a new home an enjoyable experience. The Remodel Pro is certainly not low-cost / low-quality. What you get when working with Grant is a Quality job done RIGHT. Not all small businesses deserve our patronage; but this is definitely the one to hire, even if it means you have to stretch your budget a little! Very happy with the outstanding job Grant! Bravo! Initially, Grant thought we might have to tear out the entire tile shower and re-install everything. Upon cutting a hole in the drywall behind the shower (which he easily patched) he saw that the shower was actually not leaking and did not need to be replaced. I really appreciate the honesty there, as I was fully prepared to replace the entire thing and was very relieved to save that money on bathroom remodel round 2! Grant was very understanding and even though the job turned out quite a bit smaller than he anticipated, he still did a great job and completed everything quickly and professionally. I felt comfortable leaving him at my house when I wasn't there, and when I was home, he was very respectful and considerate of my sleeping baby (right next to the bathroom!) He cleaned up the house each day before leaving and took care to protect our property while working. The only thing lacking was the ceiling was not painted, which I had thought it would be. I just noticed it, though, so it may be if I bring it to his attention he will come back and do it. Or I may just do it myself!

Grant completed several remodel jobs in our house recently. On one recent job he added two walls to an upstairs room that overlooked our 2 story great room below. Since the walls overlooked our great room and were on either side of our 2 story fireplace, he needed to blend into existing walls in a focal room of our home. He did a perfect job blending the walls together! Anyone that comes to our house cannot even tell we added walls. He has a talent with wall texturing. Painting the wall was not included in the contract so Grant tinted the primer to match the existing walls so that it would blend until we had the painting done. It was a perfect match and allowed us to wait to paint until a few other jobs were completed. Its this attention to detail and "above and beyond" attitude that makes Remodel Pro stand out. Grant is a great designer as well as contractor. He came up with creative solutions to minimize cost and solve any problems quickly. He was responsive, trustworthy and I was always comfortable having him and his crew in my home. He is very meticulous and clean. He cleans as he goes and leaves your home the way he found it (or cleaner). We could not have been happier and would definitely recommend Grant Lewis.

Grant does incredible work and was great to work with. He was very flexible and trustworthy. He completed several remodel jobs in our house recently and we were pleased with all of them. Most recently he performed the remodel of our kitchen (minus the granite). During our kitchen remodel consult he was great at giving us design/structural advice and helped us feel confident about our plans. Grant was always responsive and showed up on time. We ran into several electrical and plumbing issues and Grant quickly resolved these. He came up with very creative solutions to minimize cost and avoid impact to flooring and walls. From day 1 he made sure he kept our house clean and was adamant about this with his workers. Throughout the whole process he made sure plastic or paper was in place to protect our flooring and reduce dust levels. Grant worked well with other contractors and actually stayed to help our granite contractor with the install to make sure it was done correctly (even though it was not part of his contact). I felt comfortable having him in my home. We definitely plan to use him on our next project and you should.

grant was fantastic to work with. from his ideas to his knowledge of what could be done practically he was wonderful. he really helped our project get finished in a tight time line and was very nice and cordial the entire time. he is very skilled and instills great confidence in his skills. i wouldn't hesitate to hire him for any job and feel confident that if i asked him to do something outside his skill zone he would tell me so instead of just trying to wing it. an all around nice guy to work with.

He was fantastic. My experience with him was excellent. He had a totally creative solution to the problem of fitting in a sink that I bought for my kitchen. The sink didn’t fit but he figured out how to fit it up so that I didn’t have to send it back. He was friendly, smart, quick, creative, efficient and honest. I just thought that he was absolutely wonderful. His price was great and he didn’t overcharge. He came on time.

They worked for the Property Brothers from HGTV and were in charge of remodeling our kitchen and living room. They helped get our house in order and ready to sell. They did a great job!

I contacted him and an appointment time was scheduled more than a week out but he failed to show or call. I called him and he said some of his employees didn't show up that morning and he was shorthanded so he couldn't make our appt. It would have been nice if he had called to let me know because I took off work for our 1:30pm appt.. I advised him he could call me next week and perhaps we could re-schedule but at that point I wasn't sure if I wanted to even let him bid the job given what just happened. The following week however, he appeared at my house without an appointment. It was awkward and untimely as I wasn't even off work yet. Nevertheless, I showed him the job, he took my email address to send an estimate but never heard from him again. Too bad because he seem like a nice person.

Grant was terrific! Not only was everything finished on time and under budget but he also took care of the little unexpected things that were not part of the contract, like taking the trash out, power washing the garage and most importantly, calling to remind me that we left our daughter's growth chart on the wall when we moved out and that he would save it for me. LIttle things like that show how much Grant cares about his clients. I am very fortunate to have found him and without a shadow of a doubt will call him again for any other handyman or remodeling services in the future.

I had some electrical work done in my small business facility. Grant and his team worked with me on the price and did a variety of different electrical services. I was pleased with his professionalism and nice personality. However, I did have a problem with the finished product. Upon my phone call to Grant, his team promptly came back out and fixed the issue with no charge.

The quality of the work was superior, and I have considerably more work for them in the future. The cost is a bit more than what I anticipated, but well worth it. You get what you pay for with this company.

Grant was great from the beginning. He came over promptly, talked to me in detail about our projects. He was honest about his timeline and when he could start. He was up front about cost and his quotes were detailed and fair. He worked well with us on budget. He was flexible when new projects were added. During the process he kept me informed of progress on a regular basis. He called me frequently to confirm my choices when a change in the plan was needed. The work was high quality. He even fixed problems that were there before just because that is the type of work he does. I have recommended him to many friends and family and look forward to using his services again.

I was happy with his services. He was one of the best contractors I have had work for me. He was thorough and did a good job.

We were not in a rush, but still got great service and end product. Easy to work with.

He always does a good job. I like the customer service, the cleanliness of the job, and his knowledge. He isn't always the cheapest, but it is a better value because he does quality work and you won't have to have someone come back to fix it.
