The provider had technical issues sending email to me several times, so I went with another provider, I was on a time crunch to get my house ready for sale.

They did a beautiful job. Followed up on one small area, and easy to work with. His employees are respectful and friendly.

The first person I dealt with on this project was Dan. He came to my home for an estimate. He was very professional, his quote was quick and simple. We were able to schedule a start date ASAP, which was great! On the day the project started his crew showed up within 15 minutes of the schedule time, which if you've ever worked with contractors is really good. His crew spoke english which is HUGE....... It may sound terrible but there have been plenty of times where I get a quote and the person who quotes the job is English speaking then the person who comes to actually do it does not and trying to communicate is nearly impossible. I went over the details of the job with his crew and left for work. When I returned the crew of 2 had nearly completed the job and it was really awesome. They completed the job with a few hours the following day. We did a walk through and the few things I pointed out they touched up right away. The job was done beautifully and the service was awesome!!! I will definitely be using them again!!

Tex Paint was incredibly responsive and flexible with our work schedules for the initial meeting and the final walkthrough. We were on vacation for a week and they were able to start and finish all the work while we were gone, which was awesome. Communication was very good, and I always appreciate service providers who effectively use email and text. I have a lot of meetings during the day and can't always take phone calls. The job was generally done up to satisfaction. My only suggestion for improvement would be general cleanliness. After the ceilings were scraped, they sprayed a new light texture on. They apparently didn't mask off all of the windows, and had to come back during the walkthrough and clean a lot of texture overspray that was gunked on the windows. They also must have set the equipment and materials on the lawn in one spot, as there is now a big dead circle on the lawn that I'm trying to nurse back to life. Overall a good job at a fair price, with good communication and a punctual team.

We hired Tex Paint to paint the exterior of our 1960 house which was in great need of a paint job. Our house is brick and cedar siding and approximately 2119 sq ft. Dan was our contact/salesman and was fairly responsive with questions. He did a walk around initially and explained the work to be performed and provided me with a quote. When I decided to go with Tex Paint, I was pleased that they were able to come out and perform the painting during the timeframe we wanted. The job was delayed a day based on a previous job going over time but Dan called me and asked if they could start the following day and I said yes. They followed through with this new start time and the painters showed up early in the morning. The painters are very professional and did a fantastic job with our house. The only concern was that some of the cedar siding did not take the paint very well and there are some dark spots where the lighter color did not completely cover the previously dark wood. The painters and Dan communicated with me several times during the painting about the issue and explained the problem. I accepted the paint as is and am overall very pleased with the outcome of the painting. I only wish that Dan had told me during our estimate walk around that cedar siding generally has this problem and offered some solutions before the job started. I highly recommend Tex Paint for their quality and competitive pricing.

This was my first time to use Angie's list. I needed the house painted and purchased the Tex Painting coupon after reading the reviews. There were some initial questions as to what was provided by the coupon, but that was easily figured out. From start to finish, they were proefssional, timely and provided a quality service. I requested that some wood that needed to be replaced would be replaced with Hardy Board and that was not an issue. They had the attitude, of whatever we can do to make you happy, we will do it. And they did. I can not recommend them highly enough. I will refer them to my friends as well.

Excellent overall experience from the initial quote through the final inspection. We had Tex Painting paint both my house and my neighbor's house at the same time. In doing so, they provided us a small discount. This house is a one story ~2000 sq ft, and is primarily all brick so the focus was on the trim, chimney, small areas of siding, and doors. The owner, Scott, came out and walked the job explaining all the work they would do, then from there we dealt with Chris the project manager and Martin and his paint crew. They were punctual, finished the job on schedule within 2 days, very meticulous of their work, good quality, maintained a clean worksite, and very pleasant to deal with. Can't say enough about how good Martin and his crew were. Neighbor has a two story house, similar amount of work minus restaining and sealing the front door, cost was $2550. He was equally pleased with the work from Tex Painting.

I contacted Tex Painting about removing popcorn ceilings in several rooms of a new home I had just purchased in mid July and scheduled the estimator to arrive on Saturday July 18. He arrived on time reviewed the work and provided the price. I mentioned I would like to try and have the work done before I move into the home on July 24. Barry said he would talk with Scott and let me know by end of day Saturday July 18. Long story short Tex Painting worked me into the schedule on July 21, knocked out the work in 2 days and it was perfect. I would highly recommend them.

Obtained two estimates before accepting this contractor. Both quotes were from long-time local firms, but Tex-Painting was the lower offer. I probably could have found cheaper prices, but I am satisfied I received good value and quality. They provided a prompt quote and arrived and finished on schedule. Workers were courteous, careful, and fully responsive to any concerns we expressed as work progressed. I am completely satisfied with the results and would use this company again.

The service was great. I will use them again. They charged $100.

They kept me updated as to the start date. With the rains that have been going on this spring, jobs were being a bit unpredictable. That was appreciated. They power washed and prepped the areas to be painted. Everything went as planned. They left the extra paint. That will be great for touch ups. I found them very easy to work with and will use them in the future.

Original and all following contact was with Jeff who was very good to deal with - very well mannered, straight-forward and responsive. Much of our communications were through email which gave me "in writing" answers to questions. The job took about two and a half days and included power-washing; removal of old paint, filling holes and replacing rotted wood where necessary and two coats of paint. The painting crew were on-time, courteous and did their jobs well. One final comment: During the painting process our telephone went out. After contacting the phone company we notified Jeff of the problem, that there might be a charge to fix the phone. Since the outage occurred during the time of the painting, Jeff asked me to keep him informed and implied they would cover the cost if they had caused the problem. Don't know if they would have because the phone company, after their inspection, indicated there would be no charge to us. Overall we are very pleased with our dealings with Tex Painting.

We received a fair bid and Lupe was the painter. He would have either one or two helpers with him at all times. He was friendly and helpful, did a great job of painting, as we added in some additional work, and he did the work with quality and good attitude.

The experience was exemplary from the very start. We worked with George who, from the beginning, we could tell wanted to ensure our satisfaction. The initial quote was a bit higher than our budget, and a bit higher than other quotes too, and George was happy to accommodate a discount to help make it more affordable. The painters did an outstanding job, and even when some unexpected walls came up (ones we forgot to point out above our stairs), George accommodated it with a smile. Our house looks beautiful! Thanks George and team!

Very good experience, prompt estimate, job done in stated time frame. Two color exterior of stucco home repainted, painted gutters, replaced some bad wood in the eves. Good work crew. Highly recommend and would be more than willing to use them again.

Their bid for the house was very competitive. They weren't quite as competitive with the fence. They were willing at the time to match the fence and the painting, but when the actual owner of the company visited with me and looked at the job, they ended up not being able to fulfill their promises over the pricing. So they had to rebid it at a very substantial difference in price. So they gave me a quote and then ended up changing their quote. I went in a different direction and another company.

They did an excellent job. It was very reasonable. The communication was very good. There were just a couple of spots that weren’t covered well enough when they were finished because there had been some water leakage and they came back right away and fixed them. I have not had any problems since. They were really responsive.

We were very pleased with all the preparations and work performed, from getting the original estimate to making the final payment for the work. The workers were clean, professional, and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. The only hold-up to getting the work done was a cold, rainy period that kept them from working.

everything turned out excellent

I have been trying to get someone and myself during the past three years to at least prep my home for painting. I felt no one could do the kind of detail I wanted, making sure the wood was prepped enough and primed for the paint. It's all cedar with detail batten work under the eaves. My 1972 home was badly needed of a paint job. I powerwashed the house last year and found it overwhelming for me to do by myself. I've had others come out, did a little work and left. This time I spent the few dollars to join Angieslist and selected the top 3 on their exterior painting list for my area, Austin. They all responded so fast and quickly set up next day appts. I was so impressed with Dan Popovich's positive attitude and experience about all the various items on the house that they could do without even me bringing it up. I did not have to bring up the things I was concerned with because he covered it. I was comfortable with his demeanor and professionalism. They came out every morning on time. Day 1-Powerwashed, Day 2-House drying off, Day 3-4 Prepped prepped, primed, End of Day 5 Painted-All done!! The house was beautifully done. They did great work on the cedar which takes more time because of its density. I was impressed with the detailed painting of my home with the two colors I had selected. Even the painting on the caulking where the two colors met was expertly done. I am so happy with their work and highly recommend them to anyone! My neighbors are just at awed of my "new" home!

Very good company. Fair priced bid, no extra fluff charges. Honest to work with. Painters were very hard workers, and very skilled at their trade. They cleaned up every night and left no mess anywhere. My house looks brand new again thanks to these guys. I would recommend and I will use them again for more paint projects. Thanks guys!

Barry came out and gave the estimate. Met with me at my convenience before work and then called Scott the owner to decide on best price which I thought was reasonable. After I made decision to use them, they scheduled me for the following week. Scott came to the house that morning and walked around house with me looking at everything and making sure his notes were accurate on what was to be painted. I had asked that windows not be painted because I am replacing them. I wanted to use same paint color and gave them formula--Scott also took a can with him to get the paint and everything matches perfectly. Debris, except for a certain amount of paint scrapings was picked up every day and the house looks great. Painters moved everything that needed to be moved and put most things back. I felt good working with Tex Painting and would use them again. Both Barry and Scott were very responsive to my emails. I decided at the last minute that I wanted railing of back entry stairs painted and they did not charge me for that.

We were in a situation where the employees were moved out of part of the office - a part that needed to have the ceiling painted badly. I hadn't planned it, but decided last minute to see if we could get someone to do the work. Scott took our call, and could do the work the next day. They showed up on time, prepped, painted, cleaned up and left without disrupting our office at all. The ceiling looks great and we can move everyone back in at the end of the day. Scott made it easy.

Tex Painting was awesome to work with! My wife and I have been trying to figure out what to do with our kitchen cabinets for the last year and a half since we have moved into our home. We finally decided that we wanted a nice, clean look and chose to paint our cabinets white. Based on reviews on Angie's List I contacted Tex Painting and got a response the same evening with information about what they would do and wanting to schedule a free estimate. Barry came out to our home and gave us an estimate on the work done and walked us through the process and how long he anticipated the work to take (3 days total with a crew of 3/4 guys. He was very patient with our questions and was knowledgeable with how paint would hold up on our types of cabinets. After speaking with Barry we were very excited and the quote was much less than we were anticipating. They were able to get us on the schedule the next week to start the work of painting our cabinets. The crew was prompt and spent most of the first day prepping the area. These guys do not mess around when it comes to prepping. They covered EVERYTHING. Our kitchen was encased with plastic, the counters, appliances, floors, etc. were all covered with heavy paper/plastic to ensure no paint residue got on anything other than the cabinets. Another very cool thing was I was concerned about the type of paint to use on the cabinets. I did a lot of research because I am anal and I was torn about which paint type to use. Barry gave me a contact to talk about my research and give me a suggestion of his company?s product. I was super impressed that Barry took the time to listen to my crazy rants and point me in a direction to give me peace of mind in my decision on picking the type of paint I wanted to use. Once everything was prepped (rest of day 1 and day 2) the crew sanded the cabinets, primed them, caulked the seams, and applied the first coat of paint (sprayed on). The crew was on time and worked from about 9 to well after 6. That evening when I came home from work I was eager to take a look at the cabinets and I was a little concerned as there were drips and dark spots on the cabinets where it looked like the paint absorbed into the wood and I didn't like the way it looked. Scott Miller (who is the owner) was also the project manager for my job. I expressed my concerns to him and he called me about 30 seconds later letting me know that this was just the first coat and that they needed to let the paint dry a little and settle on the wood before they could fix any of that the next day. I felt much better after talking with Scott and knew the guys would take care of it the next day. Day 3 the crew arrived again on time at 9am and began working. They actually repainted ALL the cabinets with a second coat of paint and corrected all the drips and spent another full day working. Once they were finished the crew lead walked me through the kitchen and let me inspect all the cabinets. I was extremely impressed with the finished product. The dark spots on the cabinets were gone, the drips were non-existent and the crew cleaned up all the prep materials. Eugene explained that we needed to keep the cabinet doors open for the next 24 hours to ensure the paint was dry and before we started putting everything back in our cabinets. It has been a couple of weeks since the work has been done and my wife and I could not be happier with the way the cabinets turned out. The paint job was excellent and I will definitely be contacting Tex Painting again when I need some more paint work done on our home. If you are looking for a company who makes sure the customer is happy, just stop looking and give these guys a call!
