From my first call to set up an appointment for a quote to the clean up, everything was handled very professionally and punctually. The gentleman who came to give me the quote arrived right on time and the workers were generally there when they said they would be. We had several rain delays which interrupted their progress, so the project took longer than estimated. We have a large home and had several different types of surfaces to paint or stain which made for a somewhat complex job. They had about 3 workers here at all times, each apparently assigned to work on one type of surface. I would say they seemed to work somewhat haphazardly though, not completely finishing one area before going on to the next. I don't know if this was because of the rain delays and the workers forgetting where they left off or what. Consequently I had to go back and really check their work and have them go back to finish up areas they missed. That would be my biggest caution with this company....I really had to check their work to make sure it was complete and they did not miss areas. But whenever I pointed out something, they were right on it and finished it up. In the end, the house looked great and we are very happy with the results. Price was fair and better than other quotes I received. Bottom line: They are punctual, profession and the results will look great...But you must look over everything carefully to make sure they have covered everything.

Tex Painting and George Varela were great to work with from the very start. They responded quickly to my messages through Angie's List, made an appointment to see me within a few days of my request and explained everything thoroughly. They agreed that items could be repaired rather than replaced. (Other companies wanted to tear out whole siding panels that had minor problems and replace them with Hardie products.) They were able to start one week from the estimate date. George called the day before the start date to let me know when workers would arrive. Everything went according to schedule and the work took the estimated number of days. Tex Painting clearly had the sense to include possible delays in the estimated time. The time estimate was 4.5 days. The workers started about 1 p.m. on Monday and finished about 1 p.m. on Friday. George came by several times to check on progress and make sure I was satisfied with the work. Best of all, the price was much lower than other bids. The other bids I had were $6,000 and $12,000. Both of those bids included replacing perfectly good siding and trim with Hardie products!

The project was completed on time, on budget, well done.= with no surprises.

Ours was a big job, we bought a new house and did some renovations prior to move in. George Varella from Tex Painting was a delight to work with and he and his crews did an awesome job. Tex Painting replaced some drywall, they also put up 1/4 inch drywall on all the ceilings to cover the original damaged ceilings. They re-floated all the walls to cover a heavy texture and were able to make the walls smooth. They also painted all the walls/celings/baseboards. We interviewed companies extensively because of the scope of our project and George at TexPainting was the best by far. He listened to our concerns and desires and was able to give us exactly what we wanted at a reasonable price. George was great to work with and we couldn't be happier with his results.

I got 5 bids for this job, and Tex Painting wasn't the highest or the lowest. I liked Barry, the estimator. He showed up when he said he would (some of the other paint companies didn't) and was extremely professional. I was very lucky in that they were able to schedule the job within a week of bidding it. My contractor saw their finished work and said they did an excellent job. (My contractor is very picky so this says a lot.) They were fast and cleaned up everything well. Painting the baseboards took one day and painting the porch took 2 days. I was pleased with their work, and I would hire them again.

I'm very pleased with the excellent customer care and immaculate paint job. The painter's were prompt and thorough. The job was done without any hitches, it is beautiful and I am especially impressed with how responsive the owner is. Highly recommended.

it was ok. it rained before paint dried all the way, which wasn't anyone's fault. they came back and redid it, even did some extra. i needed some high hard to reach places done "first" but ultimately they didn't all get two coats so i had to go back and do it myself. - owner of paint company did offer to have his guys come back, but i declined and opted to do it myself. my responsiveness rating of B is with regards to the workers as i asked them multiple times to do the hard to reach places (C), the owner was very responsive throughout the process (A).

I called Tex Painting because we had just bought a new home and wanted to get some rooms painted before all of the furniture arrived. It has wood shutters so I felt more comfortable hiring a painter so that I would not get paint all over them. The quote and the schedule were perfectly fine. The day of the work the painter arrived at about 7am which was perfect as he was trying to knock out both rooms (two coats) in one day. Before I left for work about an hour later he had already cut most of the living room and was well on his way. When I got home I was able to inspect the work (as he was done and gone by the time I arrived from work). The painting job itself was great and very professional. The small issue was simply that there were a couple of drips of paint throughout the couple of rooms (on countertops, floors, etc). Since Carlos was gone I went ahead and cleaned them up myself. That being said Carlos and Scott, the owner, both called me after seeing the review mentioning the drips and immediately offered to come out and take care of anything that was needed to make it right. I would definitely use Tex Painting again, given their responsiveness, and will likely have them paint a couple more rooms in my house in the near future.

4 day job completed in 3.5. Punctual, professional, clean, great results. Will use again. Great job, George V.

Overall satisfied with the work. They missed a couple of spots, but we scheduled for them to come back and finish. I recommend.

Dan Popovich brought his crew and worked over the weekend because my wife had an important meeting at the house Monday. They were particular to detail and provided some extras (removing old wood and old paint) that you would not normally expectthem to do. A great team.

They were fantastic -- clean, thorough, excellent communicators, and overall I was very pleased with their work. After watching the care they took prepping my house, 2 neighbors asked me for a referral. I hope they use them.

Barry arrived ahead of schedule to give me an estimate to paint the exterior of my home, re-caulk any deteriorated areas, remove and replace any rotted wood and stain my back deck. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave me a good price. I accepted the bid and on the scheduled start day, Scott and his crew arrived on time and the crew started immediately. The job was completed early and any concerns I had were addressed right away. Scott even replaced additional rotted wood at no charge. I feel very good about recommending this company to anyone needing this type of service.

Our best contractor experience yet in the saga of redoing our 1970's Northwest Hills home. The popcorn ceilings were epic. Got a super fast estimate and Dan's team tented, taped, and draped the joint like a haz-mat zone, worked round the clock until the job was done, and cleaned up perfectly. A little re-textured area we weren't crazy about was redone with a smile and without charge. Very polite and professional on-site tradesmen. The change they made in the house was amazing.

They did a great job. We had a couple concerns after we had finished the first time and they came right out and fixed it as soon as the weather was good.

July 2013: It went really well. They were very responsive. The owner is really nice and runs his business well. The painters showed up on time, were very courteous and even stayed late without being asked to ensure they got the job done on schedule. All the feedback I had after the first day was addressed promptly on the second day of painting and I think my house looks awesome!! June 2014: I emailed TexPainting in May about some areas where paint had started to peel off my house (the siding is old, so it isn't unexpected). They came out about a week later and were very thorough about repairing the problem areas free of charge. I will definitely use TexPainting for any paint-related projects I have around the house in the future!

I met with Dennis to get a quote and decide how many windows I could afford to do at this time and what type of windows would be best for my needs. He was very helpful in making these decisions.. He was very low key and informative. I had previously met with some other companies whose prices were outrageous along with dubious sales techniques. The price quoted was very reasonable and payment was not required until after installation and inspection. Dana was able to come to measure within a few days and the installers were scheduled the same week. The installers, Chad and Denton, brought tarps to cover all surfaces near the window. They also brought a vacuum cleaner and cleaned each area as they finished. They both are regular installers for this company, not temps like the other companies I had spoken with. They finished taking out all windows and installing the new ones in one day. They caulked some broken trim, replaced a rotted trim board, killed a huge nest of ants in our wall and cleaned every window before they left. They were very polite, easy to work with and were good to our two dogs. The windows are beautiful and I am very happy with the whole experience. Everyone I was in contact with was very helpful and that includes Derek, the owner, Myrna, the office person, Dana, Chad and Denton. I would recommend this company without reservation.

I recently completed a several week long house renovation and off all the contractors we hired, Tex Painting provided us with the best all round experience. From the estimate phase which included good advice on materials and cost effectiveness to the final walk through and post job service that involved coming back to fix some touch ups, they have been a class act. Dan and his crew are not only professional but they restore your faith in contractor humanity (mine was a bit shaky after poor experiences with plumbers and granite installers). We were torn between staining and painting our kitchen cabinets and Dan gave us great advice, pointed us to good resources and even offered a couple of free paint vs. stain samples so we could see the finished look up front. During the job, Dan was out of town but his foreman, Octavio worked us to to ensure the stain color we picked came out exactly how we wanted and made several trips to the paint store to get the exact shade I had in mind. It was clear to me that the crew wasn't there to complete the job but rather do it right and ensure they have a happy customer. As a busy working mom, what I really appreciated was that they did what they said and when they said it (unlike my other contractors). If I have any paint needs, I know I'll call them again. If you have a medium to large size paint job that you want to ensure is done right with minimum hassle, I recommend calling Tex Painting!

From the first contact with Scott by email to the day of the appt where they were exactly on time and them completing the areas they exceeded my expectations. Excellent work all the way around.

They were the only company that did not make me wait days for a bid. I got the bid while the rep, Barry, was at my house. He was on time for that appointment (actually he was early!) and responded immediately to any of my texts and phone calls after the bid. He was very nice and professional. Scott the Owner then met with me the day the work was to start, actually early, and apologizing for being early! Can you believe that a contractor not only showing up when they said, but apologizes for being 20 mins early! So, we walked the job addressed all my concerns and worked to be performed right then, I even added some work at the last minute. The workers were here form three days, is what was quoted. They were nice, and professional the whole time. The job turned out fantastic! I would 100% hire them again and recommend them to anyone!

I contacted Tex Painting and they promptly returned my call. I informed them of my painting needs and they scheduled me for a free estimate. Their estimator, Barry was wonderful. Professional and friendly. He was sensitive to my time and he quickly gave me a estimate that which was exactly what I ended up paying. The service was top notch. They missed a few spots and they quickly took care of it. Even two days later when the paint was dry, i called them because I could see some uneven painting. They made things right, they bought another can of the paint and reapplied another coat. It looks great now. The painters were pleasant and looked happy where they worked. I would not hesitate to call Scott at Tex Painting again. They did a great job, they provided a reasonable price and they made sure I was pleased with the work.

PAINT THE EXTERIOR OF THE HOME; PERFORM MINOR CARPENTRY

Dan came to do our estimate. He was late but he called me beforehand and updated me on his estimated arrival time and apologized for the inconvenience. Once he arrived, he apologized again. I was very impressed that he respected my time. The estimate went fast and he had several good recommendations as far as the finish. We returned to California a few days later and sent him the contract, along with our payment, and a key. The work was completed while we were out of town and then pictures were sent to confirm that the job was completed. I have not seen the finished product in person but I can tell you the pictures look fantastic. We were scheduled quickly and the job was done fast, saving us money. I plan to use this company again when we are ready to paint the rest of the house and update the exterior.

These guys provide the BEST service. This is my third time using Tex Painting. The first time was about 4.5 years ago, they painted the entire house before I moved in. They worked with my need for a fast job done right! The second time, was a small job for the Master Bathroom after we remodeled our bedroom/bathroom. And, I recently used this company again for my new house. They painted the entire interior and exterior of our house, before we moved in. They quoted the job would take 3-4 days, and it was actually done on the 3 day mark. They even performed a walk through with me on the last day and I had no complaints! Highly Recommend.

Tex Painted assisted us in our quest for the perfect colors. They provided 8+ samples of different colors in different rooms. They provided a detailed scope of work to be completed. They did not ask for any money until the job was completed to our satisfaction. The interior and exterior of our home looks amazing. Of the 4 bids we received, the Tex Painting bid was right in the middle but they offered the most in detail, references and actual product knowledge. We even asked around at the local paint stores and Tex Painting received positive reviews. The job was finished in the exact timeframe as projected. We will certainly try to refer Tex Painting in the future.
