Terminix - Austin -Termite & Pest Control

Terminix was good in the beginning. But I have come to find out thru the years that this is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I feel like they have robbed me of my hard earned money. For starters, I have found it did to get a Saturday appt. Terminix doesn’t notify until day of that they are on their way. Terminix charges 200.00 for exclusion inspection and doesn’t inspect. I had to ask tech to go up in the attic and around my home to do the inspection. I had a tech come to my home to address a wasp problem, the tech wasn’t helpful at all. He then proceeded to tell me they don’t address wasp issues, walk to his car, made a phone call and charged me 487.00 to have the wasps removed by a bee company. I in turn asked to bee company how much they charged to come out and remove the wasps. They said they charged 200.00. Terminix charged 287.00 to make the call!!! There’s more but too much to write. I have called to file a complaint, but I am yet to get a response.

They never showed up. I rescheduled. They never showed up. I spent hours on the phone to their national call center because the local branch never answers their phone. Since I found the termites when I had a mason here fixing my chimney, I have left the outside chimney hole open so they could treat the termites without ripping up an inside wall. Well, it's been three days now, and two screwed up appointments and the best they can do is call me within next 2 to 4 business days to schedule another appointment. I am beyond furious!. I will hang in there until I get this treatment done, and then I will cancel my contract.

Appears to have gone well. Will redo every three months.

I used Terminix and they were terrible. I would never use them again.

On the whole, it was very well done and extremely professional. The only downside was that the installer who did the termite control around the house was late by over an hour and did not contact me to let us know of his delay. It really wasn't a problem for us, but it would have been nice to know.

When you sell a house sometimes they have to come out and its expensive. This is like $250 a year and they come out as many times as I want and they keep it up. And the contract can be transferred over to the new owner if they want it. If they don't then, it's not my problem. They come out every January or February every year unless I call them. They send me an email to schedule and then come on out. They come and do what they need to do. They put the little booties on and they are very nice. If you call them, they are right out.

I used Terminix for pest control but that was something that I inherited at the house not something that I sought out. I wasn't very pleased with them. I think they finally came the end of May. The cost of service was part of the confusing part. When I moved into the house, they told me that they had pest control service. It turns out they didn't have to come out, I just had to pay the renewal fee. On the third attempt when I finally met them, I had to leave work early to meet them one on one and know why they didn't show up. The guy told me that they didn't need to come out and do anything until when I made the appointment. That was the first time I had heard that after talking to many people trying to schedule this and schedule that. There was trouble for not very much done and not very much needed to be done and I feel like there was a lack of communication on what they needed to come. Price is not applicable I didn't pay for the particular service and the guy who came was really nice. It was more of the communication or professionalism I guess. I wouldn't use them again. I am thinking I would find someone else to do the service for me.

I made an appointment for a termite inspection. Scheduled a time slot from 8-noon. Changed my personal plans to wait for the inspection. No one show, no one called. I called the office and confirmed I was scheduled for an inspection. When I told him no one showed I was transferred to another department. After being on hold 10 minutes I hung up. They must not want my business.

Found termites in 1 wall and put stakes around the house. They provided a guarantee if the termites come back they will pay for the repairs themselves. They were the only company I found that offers this type of guarantee.

Usually they will first ask us if we have any issues before they begin their treatment. Last time we had wasps problems then cockroaches on our porch. They placed the bay trap outside the house and backyard so that the cockroaches will not enter the house. The bill is going up $5 every year.

I still have bugs. They came when they said they would. They're nice and professional.

I had two men show up. One, the termite inspector who I was not told would be at my home. After his inspection he gave me an estimate for over 2K. Termite removal is a separate service. Which was a surprise since this is my first contract with them. Then, the technician who I thought I'd ordered shows an hour later. I told both men that I had dogs and that their back yard had red ants that I wanted terminated. The tech used bait that my dogs were attracted to immediately. I had to spend $65.00 to call the ASCPA Poison Center Hotline.

They come out for me for quarterly pest extermination, both inside and out. They are responsvice, punctual and professional. They are excellent. The cost is about $300-$400 per year. I will continue to renew the contact and would recommend them to friends.

I've been using them for 2 years. I like them as well as their price. They were nice.

They are good. They are easy to get in touch with if you have a problem.

They do a good job for us. They do not remove snakes and they called me back promptly to inform me of this. We have always used Terminix and they have always done well. They check both the inside and outside of house. We have been customers with them for more than 30 years now.

I’ve been using them for years and do fine. If I noticed anything in between visits, they’ll come out with no additional charge. They’ve always been really courteous and they notify me ahead of time when they are coming out.

Our service guy is fantastic. He's super friendly, listens to your needs & explains what he's doing along the way. I highly recommend them!

Great, very professional, and on time service.

Called them to compare 4 other bids on a very, very basic sealing procedure for A roof rats. Hv pictures and quotes from other companies- was caught at a very early stage, not a big deal. I asked them to give me a " guestimation" based on sq footage of home- not an exact estimate, Compared to the other companies, and nobody had an answer. Finally a random guy answered and was dumb founded. I asked for procedures and warranties, an nooo info. Then the call was disconnected, so he hung up on me. Nice job Terminex! You'll Bring in more biz this way! Rude and uninformed.

They provided the service in a timely manner and guarantee seems to be best when compared to Orkin for the cost

They come and provide the service and I am notified they have completed the service via email.. very convenient.

I have had an ongoing issue with large tree roaches in my home for a few years. I tried another provider first for a year and they were unsuccessful in controlling the problem. I tried terminix because it sounded like they had a good guarantee. Everyone I dealt with on the phone and in person was professional and helpful and very nice. Unfortunately they were not able to control the roaches to my satisfaction after trying for about 4 or 5 months. However, when I called to cancel my service according to the terms of the contract they refunded the unused portion of my money and refunded my last service. I have had difficulty in the past with companies not wanting to keep their word, so I was extremely pleasantly surprised how easy it was and how nice they were about the whole thing. I graded them a B for price and quality since I found both to be a little above average, but all else I gave them As. It's nice to see a company stand by its word and actually make it a quick and painless process for the customer. Thanks for that terminix.

We called the terminix line and they sent someone in a day or so. He was very nice checked everything out gave suggestions and called a few days later to see if we had come to a conclusion on what we would want to go with. No pressure.

The service is fine but a bit pricey. However, upon receiving our most recent renewal notice, we called to cancel the service because of the cost. First, my husband called to cancel and was told that the systems were down but that they would cancel our contract as soon as they came back up. This was in May. Then we received an automated call telling us that a service call had been scheduled. So I, called to cancel the contract. However, two days later, we received another call indicating that service has been scheduled. Accessing my account online shows that we were invoiced in May but never paid (as expected except there should be a cancellation shown) and it shows that no service has been scheduled. To recap...two cancellation calls followed by an automated call indicating that service is scheduled yet the web site shows that no service is scheduled. Either the cancellation tango is standard operating procedure at Terminix or their system are...well...full of bugs. The call center rep said that there was no way for them to send me confirmation of our cancellation. Right.... I just want my service cancelled and don't want to see a collection agency.
