Total scam.
Description of Work: Paid for the $49 deal. Deal was to include a custom deck design with price breakdown. The deal included $500 towards custom deck installation. Derrick came out for initial consultation and walk through. He was to return the following week to take measurements and follow up. Never heard from him again. We feel as though someone took our cash and walked away. Total scam.

Mr. [member name removed], I apologize you were unhappy with the timing of service and I'm sorry you felt this a scam, which it is not. The $49 was paid to Angie's List, not to Spindler Construction....No one has walked away with your money. We met on 1/22...I'm sorry that 2 weeks later on the date of your review, I had not been able to give you drawings & quote. I have no other explanation except that this was a very successful marketing tool and I received more than 25 leads. Each of these takes 7 hours for legitimate drawings and another 4-5 hours on quotes. That boils down to about 40 days of work on top of trying to care for my existing customers. I am trying to be as transparent as possible and I'm sorry you feel you were not treated to your standards, however in fairness and honesty, I wish you would reconsider your review. At this point, I can still offer you the drawings and quote, likely in another week or 2 as I am still playing catch up with the 27+ leads I received; or I can get with Angie's List to see if your money can be refunded. Please let me know, I would be willing to work with either. Thank you.

Description of Work: My confirmation indicated that they would call in August. I did not hear from them. In late December, I called and left a message on their phone and am waiting to hear back from them. Since I live in Georgetown in Sun City (pretty far from their location and smaller yards, which means smaller jobs), I would be okay with getting my $49 back. If they are still interested could you have them call me at 254-230-5224 (my wife's cell phone). Please don't publish this report with F. I was required to put something in but my complaint is lack of communication to get started. Walter Bradley

This summer I had followed up with everyone on Angies list message board regarding deck appointments and didn't hear back from you. i didn't have your phone number. You reached out to me this past week I thought we had an understanding. They did a very good job. They were here for 3 months and they cleaned up their work area every day. They always left things in an orderly manner. They were responsive to any advice that I had to give. It was a very positive experience.
