I called SpaTek to fix a leak on my hot tub. I left a message and a day later received a response and made an appointment for him to come out to have a look and give me an estimate. That was the last I heard from SpaTek. I called once and left a message to find out what happened and why he never showed up. A day later I called the next company on my list.

The motor they installed was somewhat undersized for what I needed. They arguably tried to low ball things a bit, I would have liked for them to install a heavier duty motor.

Paul is a certified pool and spa technician with 28 years experience. He knows my brand of spa (Dimension One) inside and out, and immediately diagnosed the problem (a malfunctioning heating/aeration/filter pump). Rather than replace the pump, he took it apart and cleaned calcium buildup off the bearings, saving me $250 in replacement cost. He is honest, reliable and trustworthy, and I'd definitely call on the gentleman's services again should I need to.

I put most B's instead of A's because although I have always been very satisfied with the completed repairs on our hot tub, there is some room for improvement in other areas to receive A's. If you have an above-ground hot tub, you know that it can be a bear in terms of maintenance. And, finding someone to repair it is difficult as well. Mike has been very good. He is a pro when it comes to hot tubs. The areas where I would dock him are in responsiveness-if you're on a time line and need it done quickly, forget about it. Sometimes he can come later that week, sometimes not until the following week. If you need a part for the repair, there's always an unknown delay there too. The bottom line is, however, that the job gets done and gets it done right. And if someone can do the job and do it well(especially in a specialty field like this where good technicians are hard to come by)I'll cut 'em some slack. BUT, I think he should try to improve in this area.

They were good to me. They installed my hot tub, and it was great. I had a clog in the drain, so they came out quickly and identified the problem. They could have easily charged me over $200, but they took care of their regular customers. He explained everything to me really well, so I could avoid future problems.
