SOUTHERN PAINTING

Overall,, I had confidence in the job Southern Paiting would do.

I received an estimate promptly along with good advice. Repair/replacement of some exterior woodwork was needed and the company So. Painting recommended did excellent work. The painting crew was prompt, considerate, communicated well, and finished on time. I will certainly use this company in the future.

Paint was pealing on all burglar bars, they covered the windows in plastic, power washed, sanded, and painted them, 2 coats of paint. Same for the doors. Such a tedious, drawn-out project and they did an outstanding and perfect job. The power washing made our 13 year old decks look new again and I was astonished at how good the rock deck looked after being power washed. They used some bleach in the solution and it looks like the day it was installed -- really remarkable and so much better than when I've had it washed in the past. All the wood looks new again too and they didn't trample any plants to do any of the work. I had some fencing painted and didn't like the first color I chose once it was on, they immediately stopped, went and purchased a different color and redid it with no hassles. It was 100 degrees every day they were here and we had to leave the doors open 2 of those days to let the oil-based paint dry. I was concerned about the AC and bugs. Benjamin had the openings covered, taped and sealed with plastic, we hardly noticed the heat when standing next to it. Benjamin was the foreman of my job and he is a delight to work with and very professional, going around pointing out tiny areas to be redone or corrected in some way, things I never even noticed. He went above and beyond job performance of any painter I've ever encountered. This project turned out better than I expected because of all the extra touches Benjamin provided with his great attention to detail. I highly recommend Southern Painting and will only use them in the future.

I am writing this 7 years after the work so I do not remember all the details. But I remember things went very smoothly and I was happy with every aspect of the job they did.

I had to let the tenant decide who to use.

The crew showed up on time each day, were very courteous and left the site clean. They actually finished ahead of schedule and the work was exceptional. We already have them scheduled for more work and would definitely recommend Southern Painting.

I would not recommend them. They rushed the job. They were supposed to do the job in five days and they did it in three days: they rushed it. I had family living at home and it was unlivable. I had to send my children to my ex-husband to stay. It wasn’t a pleasant experience. I would not use them in the future.

They were professional but I didn't hire.

They did a great job for a reasonable price. I always get several estimates before I have something done, and there's was the best, but they had also done a neighbors house, so I knew already the quality of their work. They finished when they said they would and I was very happy.

Jason showed up on time and gave us the estimate. He was thorough and professional. He also brought the job foreman by to go over all expectations with us both We gave the house keys to Jason and left town. That indicates the trust I placed in this company. The work crew was equally professional. They were extremely careful and did an excellent job. Family members checked on the progress while we were gone. They too were impressed with the quality from start to finish. I am more than pleased with the entire experience with Southern Painting. I would recommend them without reservation.

I think Southern Painting was their franchisee but the one I was using had access to other people who came in and did a great job. They were excellent. They were great. They were extremely efficient. The guy who runs it, came down and was very involved with the job. He dealt with a lot of changes of direction because he discovered things in our house and had to think whether it was going to work and then he tore the wall down. Then he found something completely different so he had to change plans. He was very good at rolling with the purchases and being flexible. He kept me abreast about how much things were going to cost at all points. Their prices were good and I think they were fair. It was a great experience. I would use their services again in the future. I have to paint the exterior of my house and they would be the first people I would go for.

1. All the Southern Ptg guys were extremely polite and punctual, from the individual Jason M, who came to provide an estimate, to the painters themselves. 2. The job was started and finished on time. They worked with me to get the job done in just enough time, so that our new carpeting could be installed right after the paint had dried. 3. When I pointed out a couple of things that had been overlooked - very minor - like not having painted behind an outlet plate - they sent someone over pretty quickly, and fixed things. 4. They cleaned up after themselves and put the blinds, etc. back on properly. Would highly recommend them and plan to use them again for some other work next year.

It was very good. They came in and took care of the painting on schedule. They removed popcorn from our ceiling and that went well. They took very good care of the furniture and they took very good care of the flooring outside the house to make sure they didn't track in any paint or that awful popcorn stuff. It all went very well. They were in and out as scheduled. We enjoyed the experience. They had somebody out here immediately when we had a question. They were definitely professional. This was the third time we've used them and we will probably use them again soon.

Everything went well. They were quick, and their price was reasonable.

They were excellent. Everything turned out well. They were good people and they did a good job. I thought the price was fair. They were very professional. They did good prep work. They did a good clean up. They were very good. I would recommend them to anybody. I got what I paid for. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

I spent around $1000 to $2000 for each job. It was a very big job. They answered my phone calls. They got back in touch with the estimate and the package. There were some instances when they came the second time, he came in and painted the entire garage with the wrong color. Third time was a charm, they finally got it worked out. I think it was due to some miscommunication with the workers. It really wasn't a huge issue. They just fixed it and it was all done. I would use them again in the future.

We got an initial bid from Rick Stanford that was higher than another company that was also highly rated on Angie's List. We went with the lower bid which was a mistake--though there was no way we could have predicted that. After the other company did 2 of the 1st floor rooms we decided to switch to Southern painting for the rest. Rick did high level supervision of the work and another chap was the site foreman. It went extremely well. All workers were polite and clean and professional. They worked steadily and took the time to do it right. It was interesting to have a couple rooms that had just been done by another outfit to compare. The Southerns guys can just do the little things really well, like paint cut-in, feather out drywall so that repairs are invisible, caulk, their texturing looks great, etc. etc. As part of the process, Rick made an appointment with us before they considered themselves done to go over anything we thought needed work. They touched up here and there as we asked. We are very happy with the results.

We liked the painter very much. We recently received an estimate from them for another painting job. The only reason why we didn’t choose them again was because their price was quite a bit high compared to the people that we used. However, if we had to get the painting done again, then we would definitely use their services again.

The representative showed up on time, very professional and surveyed the house we needed painted. He was very thorough, asked a lot of questions and made many suggestions. His estimate came in the highest of all 3 bids and he was not our choice to do the work for that reason.

Rick gave us the estimate and a start date (our requested date). The crew was there promptly at 8 am and the first thing they did was make sure that EVERYTHING was protected. They took down the popcorn and primed the ceiling, then put down the first coat on the walls. The next day they put up the second coat on the walls and painted the ceiling. We changed our mind and went with a slightly different color on the ceiling, Rick told us the price and bought the paint (since he had already bought the other, we ate the cost, as we should). They were actually out before the estimated finish time. This is our third time using them. I was actually surprised to run into Rick two years after the last time and he recognized me. Customer service!

Very polite, cleaned up extremely well.

They did an excellent job. They weren’t too expensive at all for what they did.

Workers, on Felipe's team, arrived promptly, worked diligently, and finished in two days. Work was very carefully done. They left no trash.

They were available very soon after I called them. There was a room that was not up to par, so we called them to come back and paint another coat. They came out the following day and finished the room without any complaints. The purchased extra paint for me. The sales man who originally helped us was very nice and had good manners. The crew did not all speak English, but it was easy to communicate with them through the foreman. It was a very good experience. They were responsive to me and did the job very accurately.
