+ -1 more7/15/13 - We were ready to begin the job. We were stunned when we received a 'proposal' of $14,000 to do the job. I contacted the contractor (email was the only method available) and asked them to go back in their records to find the $3,000 that they had quoted to us. Their response - "There wasn't a formal bid in May and after further research, found that the repair would not be that easy. The bid that was submitted in July is the correct bid to perform the work needed." Had we have known this in May - we could have negotiated the purchase price. We are now left with grave doubts of using them - since their current 'proposal' states - "there is no way of knowing the condition..." which sounds like they are just 'playing games'...and the price they intend on collecting is even more. Needless to say - we have NOT used them !!! I could not find them on Angie's List until I wrote this review. So - instead of beginning a project that they said would take "3 days tops!'...I am having to begin at square 1.
Description of Work: 5/15/2013 - Recommended by our Real Estate Agent - Contractor was to remove, repair, replace from floor joist and up 1' up the wall in a small bathroom (6' x 6'). We obtained a price of $3,000 ("tops") before we closed on the property - electing to do no further negotiations on the purchase price.

+ -1 moreI didn't pay the bill because it's a rented house. The guy that came out was really personable and very friendly. He showed me exactly what was going on. He explained to me what I needed to do with the unit again. He was very helpful. I was very pleased with him. He remedied the problem. He knew what he was doing. He was very nice.
Description of Work: I used the services of Russell's Heating & Air for heating and air conditioning work.
