ROJAS PAINTING

Mr. Rojas and he son (Raphael) took over 6 hours to properly prep for the painting, which only took 10 minutes. The wood trim looks excellent and the job was finished on time and within the estimate provided.

Ladislao Rojas and his crew painted the interior of my house and I am very happy with the job performed. When I requested the quote, Mr. Rojas was quick to respond and set up an appointment. He was late to the appointment, but he called prior to being late, explained the reason and gave me an ETA. His communication with me was excellent every step of the way. He gave me a quote that was broken down into labor costs and materials cost. When I selected Mr. Rojas as a contractor, I had gave him the paint color, sheen, and vendor I wanted it from and he took care of the purchase. At the end of the job, which took two days, Ladislao showed me the receipts for the cost of the materials. Because he required one more gallon than originally quoted, the total price increased $42.00 over the original quote. For the painting itself, it was an easy job. All of the walls that i had painted were the same color and sheen, so not to difficult of a job. There was a fair amount of ladder work to get to the tops of the walls in the living room, but the ladders used had protectors on the ends, so the walls were not damaged. They moved the furniture and covered it all with cloth and plastic. Because I worked from home those days, I watched them put two coats of paint on the wall, as promised. The seams where the ceiling and walls meet are painted well and are nice and straight. They completely cleaned the job site at the end of each day, so there was never a mess for my kids to get into. My only complaint is that there were two paint drips that were on the carpet in the living room and some paint splatter and four of the pieces of wooden furniture. The drips on the carpet are located under where the couch sits and beneath another chair, so they are easily hidden. We plan on replacing our flooring soon anyway, so we were not really upset by this. The paint splatter on the furniture was irritating, but was fixed with about 30 minutes of me using my thumbnail and a damp cloth. There was no permanent damage and, in all actuality, was not a big deal. The entire crew were prompt and professional. When they arrived, the clothes they wore were not covered in paint. I always get nervous when painters were clothes that are completely covered in old paint because it makes them seem sloppy and I really do not want those messes on my hands. The crew wore booties and took them off when they left the work areas and went to other parts of the house. They were polite when they asked for water or when I offered them drinks. They ate lunch outside and did not leave any trash behind. The guys came and worked. I never saw a cell phone in their hands except when they took a break, which they took one in the mid morning, a lunch break, then a quick one in the afternoon. Mr. Rojas and his crew worked hard. I am very happy with the results of their work. We plan on having the exterior painted next year and we will be calling them up.

Freddie set up to paint our family room kitchen and entry way all the same color except one wall. He called me when he had availability in his schedule and we set up to have him come do our home. He and his son were both very trustworthy and reliable. Right before he came to do our house I asked him to add our dining/formal living room and paint them dark red. The whole job took him 6 days to complete. They did an excellent job, very precise, and careful. They moved all of our furniture and put everything back. Nothing was broken or spilled. I will definitely have them come back again when we go to do the rest of the house.
