There were two guys who completed the job. He is going to come back in the spring to do some more work. They cleaned up everything. He was very nice and personable.

I am VERY pleased with the final result.. The final product is excellent. The job went a little slower than we had agreed it would go. There was some very cold weather that slowed the crew down.This was a large job and I think that time and money management on a job this big was a bit of a learning experience for Roadrunner. Roadrunner did some things to make the project look even better without increasing the price. Bryon was easy to get in touch with and quick to answer questions. I felt that my wishes were honored all along the way. All in all a very good job.

My wife and I purchased our home about three years ago, and building a deck was one of the larger projects we have completed so far. I am pretty handy, and I wanted to do it myself. After designing, planning and estimating the deck costs in my spare time, we had an idea, but frankly I didn't know everything I needed to know. And then we added a time line to have the deck completed within a month, and I knew I wasn't going to be able to do that. It's now a month later, we have a beautiful deck, and the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and completeness of it is outstanding. Every time I walk outside I am reminded that there is simply no way I could have built something this well myself on the first try. Even maybe second or third try. Byron and his father started the company, and Byron's team of workers are some of the most professional contractors I have ever met. My wife and I both work in IT, so we like email more than most people. I don't think I ever called Byron. Ever. We emailed, and he replied, usually within 2-4 hours, which for us was perfect. Byron came out, took measurements and got a feel for what we were looking for really quickly. He did a sketchup, and a few minor edits later, we had the deck where we wanted it. Byron quoted out the base work as well as some of the options we were adding separately so we understood the cost implications of some of our requests. Once approved, two of Byron's contractors (Javier and Omar) came by, and every day they were there when we woke up and didn't leave until it was too dark to work. Every single day we went outside and were amazed at the progress. The old deck was gone in two hours the first day. The new deck was framed in two more days. Half the decking one day, the rest the next. As someone who likes to consider himself handy, I was impressed, amazed, and in awe of their skills. Almost every time I saw something and asked myself why it was like that, hours later I would see how they were making it work and come together. As for cost, well, we don't have much of a point of comparison obviously, but we do feel as if we got our money's worth.

Byron came out to discuss project design. I was interviewing several contractors, and I found Byron easy to work with and he listened to my design ideas and what I was wanting. Provided an estimate within a week, and also provided 3D drawings. The drawings helped, a few changes were made. I was happy with the estimate, I had received an estimate a lot higher and was not sure I was able to afford the size of deck I was wanting, but I also had an estimate just slightly lower. However, Byron's estimate included using cedar for the Arbor and railings (same as the high estimate had recommended), and would be using high quality treated pine. The quality of materials was what was promised. Byron scheduled to have the work start about a week later. Due to an issue with getting material, there was a day delay, but did not take the down payment until the materials were delivered. Then Javier and crew started constructing. Showed up early and stayed late every day and in 100 plus degree weather. Took about 9 days and deck was complete and beautiful. Roberto came a week or so later to stain. Very patient while we tried to decide on which stain color. I am totally satisfied with the completed project. Byron, Javier, Roberto were all professional and easy to work with and it shows in the finished poduct. I expect this structure to last the rest of my lifetime, but if I did need another deck or pergola built, I would definitely call Roadrunner Decks again.

I had them come out to give an estimate on it and I liked their demeanor, their attitude and the way they handled themselves. It was a positive and fun team. They knew exactly what they were talking about. They were on time and I decided to give them a shot. I don't know about the price because I have never had it done before. It was a really nice job. They were here 10 minutes early and apologized for being early. They got it done in the time frame that they said they would do it, and all in all, it was a good job. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

They were prompt with returning their bid. He was the one who actually listened to me on what I wanted on the deck. He was responsive, on time, and very professional. I would have hired them but I some guests come in, basically my mother-in-law, and she had something to say about it.

Great experience. The owner, father and son, came out to give an estimate on a wood deck. They were very friendly and professional. They came out right away to give the estimate, arrived promptly, and provided the estimate with a visual mockup within hours - the same day! They were also readily available to answer follow up questions. Their estimate was based on $10/sf, which is fair. However, the cost to prep and stain the deck was very high ($600). They didn't provide a lot of detail about the materials or structure of the deck, which would have been nice (e.g., 2x6s, posts will be x feet apart, etc.).
