They used my bricks I provided and repaired the hole that was created to put in an airconditioner years before. There were cracks in the wall and shifting had happened. The corrected all the flaws and the wall looked beautiful after.

The repair work was excellent. We could not be home when the contractor arrive to oversee the work due to an appointment. The contractor and I corresponded back and forth prior to setup an appointment. I must say that the contractor was prompt in his response to my initial request for service. We did not need to be home and trusted that the work would be professionally done. When we returned, we were surprised to see that the work was completed to our satisfaction. I will most definitely contact the contractor again for future projects.

He arrived on time, was very professional, cleaned the job site when finished. I would definitely use his services again.
Description of Work: We had several settling cracks in our stone masonry. He repaired cracks in masonry. He noticed that a few windows required resealing and applied new sealant. He also repaired some minor cracks in cement coating of decorative slab.

OK. Was on time but would have like the follow up on the request for a quote.
Description of Work: Had a few bricks on the side of the house that were falling in. It appears it was hit with a back hoe. He repaired the bricks and put them back where they should go. Additionally, had a few river rocks in my fireplace lose. He put them back as well. The reason for the lower grade is he has never replied to my request for an additional quote on some other work, I was thinking of doing. I guess he doesn't need the additional work. What he did he did well. The color is a bit off but you have to look close and know where the repair was done.

We were preparing our house to sell and needed to repair mortar cracks, broken bricks, and underpinning. I called three masons (also recommended on Angie's list). Of the three estimates, Robert was the most responsive/available and his quote was the most reasonable for such a small job. He reminded me that the extent of the damage was purely cosmetic (nothing wrong with the foundation), but agreed once I explained that we were selling the house and didn't want buyers to be scared by the cracks. Robert showed up right on time and we walked around the house reviewing what would be fixed. Over the phone, he had mentioned that even if I had found more cracks after his initial estimate, he would still honor the price that he quoted. [Awesome!] As we walked around the house, Robert pointed out cracks that I probably wouldn't have noticed (good eye!). As Robert was finishing up the job, my husband noticed a few cracks that Robert and I missed on our walk-through. When I pointed them out to Robert, he confidently said that he'd take care of it (even though he was almost done with the job). He didn't give me a hard time for "adding" more work to the initial scope. In the end, Robert did a great job matching our existing mortar (which was an "off" color between gray and white). You can barely tell that any repairs were done (which is great when selling a house!). His estimate of the scope of work (~4hours) was right on time--even with the additional work. I highly recommend Robert as a mason! Apparently his father was also a mason and now he is carrying on the family trade (very admirable). If I have any brick/mortar needs in my new house, Robert will be the first mason that I call.
Description of Work: Repaired cracked mortar, cracked bricks, underpinning around 2-story house.

In preparing our house to sell, we noticed that there was a lot of cracking and separating in the grout between our pool coping and the flagstone patio. We had our pool guy out to look at it and he wanted to use a sealant that was a totally different color and consistency. We called RJL Masonry and he came out the next day to have a look. He told us exactly what he was going to do and quoted us a very reasonable price. He was able to come out later in the week and painstakingly cut out all the bad grout and filled it in and sanded it down. It looks fantastic! We are so glad we called rather go with the easy/ugly solution our pool guy was proposing, at the same price!!! We will definitely use RJL again for any stone/masonry work we need.
Description of Work: Removal of cracked grout surrounding our pool coping and refill with fresh grout.
