+ -1 moreRick is an electrical engineer, and when the builder of our home didn't put our A/C system in the most efficient way, Rick came in and replaced the entire system for us. This was about 15 years ago, and we have continued to call on him. Rick is always offering quality work and products. He's extremely intelligent and responsive. We had him replace our system recently as well, and he has consistently been very attentive and helpful.
Description of Work: Rick completely rebuilt our entire A/C system, and has recently replaced it. He has also come out for other service calls.

+ -1 moreIt went very well overall, and I'd recommend him to anyone (and I do!). The amount of energy saved it just amazing compared to if I just replaced an old unit. The duct work the builders put is was very in-efficient and was the first thing that needed to be addressed. Had we only replaced the units, we would still be wasting 30% of our air conditioning !
Description of Work: When our (2) air conditioners went out (due to age), we checked into a few different options. The other (2) quotes we got were to replace the (2) units with new energy efficient units. But with Rick, he did a detailed investigation of our home, including square footage, area of the windows/walls, how the house is sitting (where the sun faces at what times of days). After this analysis and report, he came back with a detailed report of how our house uses air conditioning and heating, when the hottest time of day is, and where in the house. His recommendation was to replace the (2) units w/ 1 two-staged unit,re-do some duct work and create 3 zones in the house. The cost was competitive w/ the guys who were just going to replace the units, but instead of saving 30%, we saved about 60% each summer month.

+ -1 moreThe units works findejust a couple of issues but Rick has answered and helped us and the Warranty is great .Sometimes he doesn't answer our calls ( he mentioned a problem with his phone network) but was able to install the missing part (sensor) , hopefully we won't have any more issues with the unit and will run smoothly.
Description of Work: Rick's installed our new air conditioner, he was very professional and knowledgable, he installed with no problems our new air conditioner except a missing part ( zoning sensor) that we have to wait for him to install. We have had some issues with the new unit. Rick had to replace the outside unit completeley and 3 months later the motor unit burned off. Good thing there is 10 yr warranty for labor and parts and we didn't have to pay anything.

+ -1 moreRick not only came over and fixed my immediate problem , the bad compressor, but found the inadequate duct work and fixed it.
Description of Work: needed a new compressor and the reworking of some duct work from the unit under the house that had been improperly installed by one of the contractors offered by the home insurance program that I previously had. Rick saw my duct problem, showed me, fixed it and then installed my new compressor. Didn't just put on the compressor and leave me with the insufficient duct work. Wouldn't ever again use the contractor provided by the insurance company. Will use Rick again.

I have been very impressed with him and when he looked over our furnace he said that wouldn't be enough work for him to charge me so he asked if I needed anything else done. I had him do the other things and he just charged me $55 dollars for that hour. He got right to work and didn't waste any time. He would show you how to do minor things yourself and was very reasonable on his price.
Description of Work: He checked the pilot lights on my furnace and looked it over, plus repaired my toilet.

In many situations 2 systems are not needed and 1 new system can replace 2 old with better comfort levels. This is done through good design and modern technology. One new house is 3300 square feet with 3 stories and only needs a 3 ton unit in central texas. I worked with the architect and owner on the design.
