Leasing agent in charge of this project has been unbelievably unprofessional towards my leasing agent. In conversations directly with me however he has been exactly the opposite in his behavior and demeanor aside from his opening comment to me in our first conversation, when he flat out called my leasing agent the most unprofessional person he has ever worked with. He insisted on seeing my financials before he would show me the property ( not something I planned to disclose unless the space met my needs), declared me as " not serious" because I am trying to maintain a full time job while putting the pieces in place for a new business venture, and further insulted me as an entrepreneur and business owner by asking for my husbands signature on the letter of intent as we began the lease negotiations. Clearly he pulled that document out of the 1950s. The lease terms he is offering are such that only an idiot would agree to them. Our back and forth were peppered with him degrading my agent at every turn. I am accustomed to people treating each other with respect in business dealings and for the process being followed in logical steps. I have to wonder if the people this gentleman works for have any idea how he behaves towards their potential tenants. If my circumstances demanded a discussion about my financial state, that discussion was never requested. I have to wonder when the last of these sexist dinosaurs will leave the planet. If you are a solo female entrepreneur stay away from this firm unless you are a multimillionaire.
