water heater repair
+ -1 moreWas working well on the front end (during the estimate) until it came time to start the job. Then I received a phone call where I was told I had to pay 100% (ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE COST OF THE ENTIRE INSTILlATION JOB) UP FRONT!!! I told him that upfront payment was never discussed previously and that I had significant concerns about paying for labor that has not occurred. I also told him that nowhere in the estimate did it indicate 100% payment up front was mandated, because I would have dropped them immediately knowing that. I indicated that any business should have a line of credit with a wholesaler that would allow for a $5,000 job to begin. I told him I would consider paying 50% up front, but they apparently refused, because they never contacted me again. Made me wonder if this was a going- under business. The problem caused by the company slowed down the progress on my house. Caveat Emptor!!!!!!!!

+ 0 moreIt took a long time, but any time the city has multiple inspections time is involved. I was not in a particular hurry and the system worked long before the final inspections were completed.
Description of Work: Red Spectrum Energy installed a solar water heater at my home. The cost indicate does not include the city rebate that was a part of the overall cost of 5786.29. The system works well and is attractive. Red Spectrum also installs swimming pool heaters.
