Quality Lawns & Landscaping

Josh of Quality Landscaping installed my Christmas lights in November 2013, but failed to return to take them down. Additionally, a strand of the lights failed to light up, and it took about 2 weeks for him to return to check on them. I have used Josh/Quality Landscaping for approximately 4 years. In the prior years, I paid 1/2 up front for the install and 1/2 when they were removed - despite his protesting that he wanted all upfront. Each year, his punctuality was something to be desired (never came on day promised), but I ultimately excused it, because the job did get done. I have also used him for a small landscaping project - also punctuality was an issue - but I let some of it slide because he did ultimately come through. However, this year, he has wholly failed to return to take down my Christmas lights. Foolishly, this year I paid the full amount up front because I wrongly thought he had proven himself trustworthy after 4 years. Unfortunately, for me, this means my Christmas lights are still on my house in mid-February - yes, FEBRUARY!! He will respond to my calls and texts about a day or two after receiving them and always with a "We'll be there today" or "we'll come next week," or the latest "you have to understand I am so busy, I can't get to everyone right away". But he has NOT return and it's almost 2 full months since Christmas!! I have now received a letter from my HOA and will be fined, so I am desperately looking for another company to come remove the lights I already paid Josh/Quality Landscaping to remove but didn't. I do NOT recommend hiring him; he has proven himself to be untrustworthy, untimely, and unresponsive.

He was a little slow. He didn’t have enough people. He ended up doing it but it took a lot longer than I thought it should have. I had to keep on them to do what he was supposed to do. At the end, he tried to charge me seven grand more than we signed a contract for. I wouldn’t pay him any more than we negotiated for. If you use this guy, be cautious. They're young and inexperienced. He didn't have the background and resources to do this in a timely manner.

We were very satisfied. They were quick to respond. They showed up when they were supposed to and left when they said they would.

The entire experience, from initial contact to project completion was professional and and absolute pleasure! I contacted Josh Thompson, owner of Quality Lawns and Landscaping, after seeing one of his yard signs. Josh agreed to meet me at my home on Saturday morning, and conducted a thorough evaluation of my yard. He took the appropriate measurements and, being a landscape designer, he also recommended some garden bed options we had not even considered. Josh promptly provided an estimate, which given the amount of work that had to be done to my yard, was fair. Josh showed up on time to begin the work on the agreed upon date, and everyday thereafter until the project was completed. He consistently kept me up to date on the project, and worked with me to pick the right combination of plants, shrubs,flowers, etc.. During one phase of the project, one of the crew members accidentally hit and broke an irrigation line, but that was quickly repaired by one of his team leaders, a licensed plumber! My wife and I were extremely impressed with Josh and all of his crew members, as they were always well prepared for the days work and were very courteous and polite as they worked around our home. Josh also came out to the site more than once each day to check on the progress being made, and to make sure his crew had everything they needed over the weeklong project. After the final touches had been laid, we were amazed at the transformation! We simply could not have imagined our yard looking so good, after suffering though some tough droughts the last few years. I have since hired Josh to perform my bi-weekly yard maintenance, and would highly recommend his services to anyone considering a quality lawn at a quality price!
