The technician found that I had a faulty MAF sensor and also had bad plugs, wires. They fixed the issue within two days and had a loaner car available to use while the truck was being worked on.

The response times to get an estimate were great, Troy came out to do an estimate and priced it very competitively. Throughout the whole process the communication was stellar, and months later when I finally decided to pull the trigger on new systems with short notice, there was a crew performing the install within a few days. I had a wife and baby in my hot home while the crew was doing the install, and Mando, Sergio, Zack, and Shawn were super professional, respectful, and considerate of the situation. My house is tricky, but they worked nonstop to overcome all issues and get the house cooling that evening. Super strong work ethic, excellent communication, just fantastic all around. I'll never use another HVAC company.

It didn't go at all. I ended up calling one of their competitors, another name from Angie's list, and AC was fixed within 2 hours.

A technician came out that night, determined that the fan had gone out. He had a fan on his truck and my air conditioner worked once again.

The guy came out and checked the refrigerant level. It was low, very low, he told me I had a leak and that the system needed to be replaced. He told me it would cost too much to repair I needed to get a new system. Not repaired total system (AC, Coild, Furnace)The only positive was that he did not charge me a service fee. I got an estimate on the whole system from them. I was blown away. I was not impressed with this company other, than the tech did not charge me a service fee. another company told me I could repair the system.

Originally sounded fine--then was told at end of service call that R22 was necessary. Was told not to worry though because it was included in the Angie's List coupon for free. Then told 2 pounds of Freon was necessary. 1st pound free. Second was $129. Couple of issues. First, it is unlikely a unit that has barely been used since purchasing the condo less than a year ago needed 2 pounds of Freon. Second, if it did, a leak test should have been recommended since the need for that much Freon is very rare as these systems don't lose Freon through the years naturally. The system only loses Freon if something is wrong. Third, my invoice says only 1 pound was added and (on the same invoice) it says 1 pound is free from Angie's list (despite the $129 charge). It is just not as easy to rip people off these days with the internet and not get caught. So, either I just paid for services not performed (or unnecessary). Or, my unit is severely broken and leaking Freon like crazy and needs to be repaired or replaced right away (particularly given the environmental hazard). Given there was no recommendation to replace the unit or do a leak test--I'll let other customers decide what happened.

Tech check everything. identified a malfunctioning thermostat. He did not push me to purchase his thermostat and gave me some good suggestions for install. My A/C is now working well. Only problem was they asked for a window from 1-5 pm for tech to arrive. He came at 5:45 pm, so I had to wait all afternoon for this.

They ware very thorough, and a very good gob. Will definitely consider using them to service AC in the future.

Great, I always fear the worst in this type of sintuition (i.e. new AC unit required). Technician quickly diagnosed that was not necessary, flushed the line, added freon and recommended the maintenance contract which added to piece of mind and saved a few bucks on this trip. Total cost $250 for 2 units.

You ask how did it go. It did not go at all. After 13 days, and 4 calls the best response was that they were at the mercy of their supplier. With outside temperatures at 100F and interior temperatures at 90F to 95F this response was not acceptable. In this age of overnight express shipments, 2 weeks delay for a part that I could purchase online and receive in 24 hours is a gross lack of service from someone whose motto is that they are there for you when you need them. A call to Christiansen Heating and Air got a commitment to have the parts in 48 hours. I ultimately orderer the motor and capacitor myself for less than a third the price quoted by the professionals. It took me 1 hour and a 10 minute online video to complete the repair myself. I would assume the pros could have completed it in half that time. But they couldn't be bothered so they did not make a grotesque 200% profit margin for this repair and they will never be given consideration when the time comes to replace my HVAC system which will amount to a significantly larger profit for someone. I'm guessing that the pros have so much demand in Austin TX in July that they will not be bothered by my review. They certainly made it clear that they couldn't care less that they left my family sweltering for 2 weeks without any responsiveness at all. But I will do my utmost to share my experience with as many parties as I possibly can as long as I have a medium to do so,

They were wonderful. It was the hottest day in Austin and they still fit me in. They were pleasant and strained hard to do their best.

Great! Service person was on time, called 30minutes out. One unit-capacitor changed out, other - needed outside unit cleaned.

When I called I told them my overflow was flowing water. They said on the phone I used the wrong deal that I bought. However, when the service guys came out they said that the overflow was being used because the main drain was clogged. They fixed the issue and then did the maintenance I bought for $69. No issues at all with what I purchased. I would suggest calling them before buying anything through Angie's List to make sure you buy the right thing. One thing that did bother me was that the time they scheduled they couldn't make. I didn't get any call from anyone until 10 mins after the window. I was already gone because I had things I needed to do. Come to find out their office tried to call me from several different phones but had no luck reaching me. Their technician's phone worked well. The job he had during my window was much larger than he thought. To remedy the issue they sent another technician out about an hour later. When you schedule make sure that they can call your phone. Also, make sure to have them communicate any issues or call them if they haven't called you if the window when they are supposed to show up is closing on you.

Our A/C stopped working on a Saturday morning (in the middle of July - ack!), and a technician on a service call from a different company told us we needed to replace the whole unit. I had read - on Angie's List! - that when a technician recommends a complete system replacement you should get a second opinion because it's such a big deal. We called Precision first thing Monday morning to see if we could schedule a 2nd opinion consult, and they were able to send someone late that afternoon to check it out - Todd. Todd agreed that the entire unit needed to be replaced, and took the time to explain each part of the system, what it looked like when it was working, why it wasn't working now, etc. He was so patient and helpful! By that time, the first company hadn't even called us back (although they'd assured us they'd definitely get to us Monday), so we decided to go with Precision for the system replacement. Gary, our salesperson, was super responsive and helpful! Because we had been completely without AC at that point, he worked with me Monday evening via email and phone to get a system picked and an appointment scheduled for the next day. He was very conscious of price, never tried to "up-sell" anything, and kept answering emails and calls until it was all settled (pretty late that evening, maybe 8PM?) The next day, a couple people came out to replace the whole thing. I can't remember the 2nd name, but the lead guy was Sergio, and he was great. They were very prompt with their arrival after calling and very courteous. After they'd finished installing (it took awhile, but that makes sense, plus a ton of our ancillary stuff was super out of code, so they had to do several things with that), Sergio took the time to explain everything they'd done, how everything worked, the best ways to maintain stuff, etc. The only bad thing about the experience was that the AC stopped working about 1-2 hours after they'd finished installing. It sounded like it wanted to be on, but there was a safety valve somewhere that kept tripping it. Anyway, after four days without AC, I was definitely frustrated. I emailed Gary at about 7:30PM, resigning myself to the idea that they'd probably get it in the morning and that we were stuck with another night in the tiny room with a portable AC. However, Gary responded right away, had me describe the problem, then said that a technician would be able to get to us that night, but it would be a bit later. It was such a relief to know it would be resolved that night! The service person came, and it wasn't working because the drain something-or-other needed to be flushed. Technically, I think that should have been done during the install, but mistakes happen, and because of their fast response to correct it, I was more than happy with them. I would definitely use them again, they are friendly and open, which I think is so important when technicians are doing complicated things I don't understand! It wasn't inexpensive, but if I'm spending money on anything, it's AC (especially after going with 4 days in July without!).

I scheduled an appointment for 7/14/16 in the range of 12-5pm. I left work early to make sure the tech was able to come by with no delay. I got a call at about 4:45 saying they would still be coming by later but did not know when. NO CALL NO SHOW... I even called the after hours line who paged the on-call staff and got no response. I'm upset because had this been the other way around they told me it would be $75. Here I am leaving my important job and this is what happens. NEVER AGAIN...

They came to inspection the A/C and cleaning it works like new now , theu were also really helpful

The tech was very knowledgeable and explained the process and walked me through some of the potential issues with the AC. I very much appreciated the expert information and service.
