Excellent service. They were up in the hot attic all day installing new equipment. Our home is very comfortable now.

We're new to the area, didn't know what the ac system needed. It had been inspected prior to closing, but in our previous home we'd had the system checked twice a year by the company whoc installed it. We wanted to get off to a good start and also have a company on "speed-dial" so that if we had a problem, we'd have someone to call. We chose a "Big Deal" offer from Angie's List, after checking the rating for the company. They called us within a day or so of our purchase to schedule the app't. We did have to reschedule because the closing on the house we were selling ended up being on the same day, but no problem doing so. The technician was prompt, professional and completed the check out of our system quickly and without trying to sell us anything we didn't need. In fact there was nothing needing to be done that wasn't covered by the service call. The "Big Deal" covers 2 seasonal checks, so we'll be dealing with the company again. As far as I can say today, I would deal with them in the future, no problem.

They came out to look at the heater. I called pretty late into the heating season (November) but was still a bit surprised that I couldn't get an appointment for several weeks. They discovered a CO leak. This is a potentially serious situation. The problem for me was the hard sell after the leak -- starting with the "I have to disconnect your heating system; I'd hate to have anything happen to your kids" to the "we can fix the whole thing with a new $15K system". I turned off the heater (it was a warm winter, and this was a second floor unit, so it didn't really run much anyway) and called out 2 other companies to look at the situation. Both confirmed that, when the furnace first starts, there is a detectable amount of CO right in front of the furnace for a few seconds, but that quickly subsided, and there was no detectable amount outside of the attic at all. Still a situation that needed to be dealt with, but not quite the dire circumstance portrayed. I got the furnace replaced for $600 by another provider. So, technically, nothing really wrong, but nothing really helpful either. No attempt to measure the CO over time in the house proper. A definite attempt to bundle this situation into a full AC/furnace replacement. This isn't in any way negligent; I just didn't care for approach.

He ran very late but wasn't really his fault. Very courteous, professional and quick to figure out the potential problem. I will definitely use them again.

About 5 weeks ago, we had called another company to repair our air conditioning unit which was tripping the breaker, running 17+ hours per day and not keeping the house cool. They messed us around, and when they eventually arrived, they said that there wasn't enough freon in the unit, added 2lb and overcharged us for the service. The unit still wasn't working correctly so we researched on Angies List (should have done this the first time :) ) and chose Precision because of their great reviews. I called their office to schedule an appointment. The person who answered was very friendly and helpful and she set me up with an appointment for 2 days later. That day, Derek called 15 minutes before he arrived to let us know he was coming. When he arrived, he ran tests on the air conditioning unit and discovered that there was way too much freon. In addition, he showed me that the breaker was bad and needed replacing. While correcting the issue (took some freon out of the unit), he very kindly answered all of my many questions and helped me to understand the equipment and process. Before he left, he ran additional tests to make sure that everything was working. Within 15 minutes of Derek fixing the unit, the house was cooler than it had been in weeks. This was a great experience from the moment I called their office. They are all polite and friendly. They arrive when they say they will, and the cost was very reasonable. I will definitely be calling them when I need a repair in the future.

The technician worked on the unit for around 20mins then informed me it was very low on freon/refrigerant. I mentioned I just had the unit serviced this past June and the levels were fine. He told me it was very low and it was causing the unit to freeze up. That I needed to add 5-7 lbs of refrigerant at a cost of ~$450 - $600 to get it not to freeze up. I asked if I did that would it just leak out again? He responded that it probably would and for an extra $150 he could do a leak test, but that they would not be able to repair it if they found a leak because it was a package unit. He said my best option was to buy/install a new split system that would be ~$4,000 - $5,000. I chose not to do anything other than pay the $75 service fee. I did not have high confidence in the finding/recommendation. I called out another HVAC for a second opinion two days later. They did the same diagnostics and not only was the refrigerant not low the problem was simply a very dirty condensing coil. The tech removed the cover of the unit brushed and sprayed down the condensing coil and everything was working fine. The second HVAC company charged be $175 to service the unit. Be careful with these guys - misrepresenting freon level, then trying to be sold into a whole new $5k system when the unit just needed to have the coil cleaned.

AC unit was taking longer than normal to cycle on, called for service tech. Was there that afternoon, and gave the system good check. Cleaned out clogged drain pipe.

I also found out that they do offer a free estimate so why did I pay even what I did. the repairman did come at one as promised, seemed very capable, suggested whomever installed the last condenser fan motor, installed the wrong one. Although it has been working fine for a year and a half. He said the replacement part would be $652 plus labor. I told him I am retired and on a fixed budget and could only afford $350 tops. I don't know why he could not have suggested another brand than Carrier as it would be far less. I was a Buyer in electronic parts for 18 years and I know there is always an alternate brand. I Gave them a second chance a to prove themselves . They came this time at the agreed time, but I still feel uncertain about their promised agreements. Also the price on parts appears to be the moneymaker. I will go into Austin to a parts house and buy my own part and have my friend install it for a nominal amount. I'll still be ahead and within my budget. You all must just from your own experience.

The guests staying in the unit informed me late in the morning that the AC was out. I called Precision shortly after noon and they promised to come by that day. And they did ! The technician found the problem, (caused by the electrical storm) had the part on the truck, and corrected the AC unit quickly. Good service is hard to find but this company lives up to their promises. A second problem came up a few days later, (2nd storm) and they were out again the day I called. Unfortunately, the part was not on the truck, but Precision sent a 2nd technician out later that same day with the part and installed it, and the unit was fixed in one day again. The staff, both on the phone and in person, were courteous, friendly and professional. The price was reasonable, and the service cannot be beat. I know who to call if I have AC problems again ! !

Scheduled appointment promptly after purchase on Angie's list. Tech called 20 min before arriving at house. Very polite and friendly. Seemed very experienced and took his time to explain everything to me.

The technician was great. He was running late, but called before he was due to arrive and gave me an adjusted ETA. He was very professional and personable.

They didn't have any availability that fit with my schedule. However, they responded quickly.

They struggled the first two days to be responsive which was frustrating to be without air conditioning ( I don't know how people lived in Texas before air conditioning). But after reaching the manager, they promised to take care of the job and they did. I think they have good competent people who do quality work but high demand on their resources may cause unexpected delays.

We decided it was not worth replacing the part on this older system and decided to shop for quotes on replacing the system. Precision Air had the most competitive quote.

What impresses me about Precision Heating & Air is that while fixing my unit required more than one visit, they bent over backwards to make sure it was done correctly and did not charge me extra. I really got the sense that David T., the owner cares about long-term repeat customers, and never tries to nickel and dime you for short-term gain. Chris, the technician that fixed my unit, was expertly knowledgeable, punctual, professional, had a cheerful demeanor (despite coming on a Sunday), and was conscientious about being neat and not making a mess. Great company, I would not hesitate to use them again.

Called service as our AC wasn't working, just got warm air. Service technician was on time, professional, explained the issue at hand. There was a problem with an electrical connection which he fixed. The price on the issue i think is huge compared to the labor time it takes. The guy seemed thorough, he mentioned the freon levels are low too and he suggested a refill. I haven't researched the prices on Freon, seemed high there too. Overall, good prompt professional service, just expensive!

I believe Precision Heating & Air did an excellent job on servicing our A/C units. The person (sorry forgot his name) arrived on time and performed the normal inspection. He later cleared the drain for the A/C (which required compressed air) and thoroughly cleaned both compressors outside the house. He really took his time being as thorough as possible (other contractors we've hired in the past seemed to be in a rush).

I was not happy with the expense, as A/C was only 5 years old. They came within one day and put refrigerant in to keep us cool until the new evaporator coil was ordered and installed. Installers were professional and courteous. I priced replacement of the evaporator call with a provider I had previously used and it was in the same ballpark

They called me back and told me that due to their current workload, they were unable to take on remodel jobs at this time. She apologized for not being able to. I really appreciated the call back. I have been dealing with a lot of contractors and some don't call you back, even after they come out to do an estimate. While this was a minor thing on their part, it was a major customer experience for me given the frustrations I have been having with other contractors.

It went extremely well. I'd purchased a deal for 2 inspections, and this second one was to check on my air-conditioning as Texas goes into its 6-month summer. The technician was named Todd, and he did a terrific job. He is friendly and outgoing, and he explained what he was doing every step of the way. Not that I could understand all of it -- a/c is extremely intricate -- but I got enough of it and appreciated the effort he put into it. He also went out of his way to do a few minor extras, like which pipes should get the condensate pan tablets I'd bought. And he gave me valuable information about what it would cost to replace the whole system, something that will inevitably come up a few years from now. I'm saving up... Anyway, I've had 3 encounters with Precision, all of them good. Their office even reminded me by email and phone that I was entitled to this second inspection, something that would have totally escaped my failing memory. Two thumbs up.

It went well. Chris showed up on time and let me know he was on the way. He found my leak and showed it to me. My previous inspector with a different company assured me i had a leak but didn't want to look for it. So I was looking for a more thorough second opinion and Precision Heating & Air did a good job providing it. I will use them again.
