Precision Heating & Air LLC

Since the initial install the same part has failed twice. It is part of an issue the manufacturer has with one of their supplied components. In May, when it first occurred, Precision had to order the part, and it took a couple days. In May that wasn't such a big deal; I could open the windows and that was tolerable. In July (this week) the same part failed again. Precision replaced not only the part that was defective, but the entire assembly that contains that part (the part that went out was part of the coil, they replaced the entire coil) now that they have been advised what the issue is. I was contacted personally by the owner of the company during this process in order to ensure my complete satisfaction. I really appreciated his attention to my concern.

Steer clear of this "trashy" business. I would use the word unprofessional,but they do not even amount to that. I called the number listed on their website at approximately 6:00 PM. Talked to a lady, who stated that the technician would call me "right back" and the technician would charge an additional $75 on top of services rendered. Agreed to the conditions and waited. Technician, Jose, finally called at 10:30 PM stating that he "might" be able to come in a "couple of hours" but the fee will be $105 plus an extra $30 on top of services rendered. Told Jose of the conversation that I had with the office and his response was, "I don't why she told you that." I told him to contact his office and he replied "I will have to call you back." About 10 minutes later another technician called and stated " we do not have techs that we can send out tonight. We might be able to send someone after noon tomorrow." Do they understand what "24/7" means? Apparently not. Again, this company is horrible. Lastly, I know many may say, "Well, I had a good experience with them," but remember a crook does not rob everyone. Just because he does not rob you, does not take away the fact that he is a crook.

There were additional charges beyond the big deal price of $39. He went there to diagnose. He had to go back the following day because we didn't shut off the system. So, he charged us $75 in addition. But, that was taken out from the price of the unit and installation when we bought the whole system. They were okay. It's fine so far. We're going to get the maintenance from them.

He said he'd send me a quote to fix the leak completely, They came out and they gave me a quote, Ill probably go through them to fix it.

TODD from Precision came out next day when most other companies said they couldn't come out for several days. Its 100 here in Austin so an emergency. TODD was professional and explained the system to me and what work needed to be done. He picked up the parts and had our AC fixed in a couple of hours. They were so good I plan on buying our new AC system from them when specials start to run in the Winter. Awesome service.

The overall experience was very good. No-pressure and informative sales. The installation itself was done quickly in a single day. Both guys, EJ and Joaquin, were extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They had a very small space to work in, and they were able to remove my very large and heavy old furnace/blower unit and install the new one without any significant damage- not an easy thing to do in my cramped hallway. After installation, Precision promptly scheduled the follow up inspection and took care of coordinating the city rebates. Courteous, professional staff, and competitive prices. Can't ask for much more. I would recommend Precision to any of my neighbors and friends. Great

I called Precision Heating and Air at 8:00 on Monday morning. My AC had gone out on Saturday evening. Todd was out at my house by 9:45 the same morning and found the problem quickly. He replaced the compressor and problem solved. He was awesome!! Thank you Todd and Precision Heating and Air for being prompt, efficient, and effective! Great company!!

They were absolutely fantastic. I didn't like that they wanted to charge me an extra $15 because I was out of their normal service area, but the man who came out didn't end up charging me anything because he lived close by. So they were fair about that.

I upgraded from the $39 service to the $69 after talking to the nice folks at Precision. They showed up on time and proceeded to do a maintenance check of my a/c unit. After being told by another a/c service provider that I needed a new unit, it was a relief to hear from Precision that my current a/c unit was working just fine. Yup. I"ll call them again if I need a/c service.

The technician provided an efficient service

Initially when I spoke with the Tech, I felt the quote was too high. I was also concerned that it would take a week to get the AC repaired due to the current volume of business. I was able to locate another AC company that was able to repair the ac sooner. I was contacted the Precision a few days later and we spoke about the quote. After speaking with him, I had a better understanding of the cost breakdown. He was very professional and I am impressed that received a call to check on the service, even though I did not use them for the repairs. The level of professionalize in very important to me and appreciated.

Very impressed with the service technician (Todd) who was very thorough, and informative. He definitely knew his stuff.

Came to check out our HVAC because the fan outside wasn't working. The technician told us that the compressor was grounded and needed either replacing. They sent a sales person in, the same day. They recommended to replace the whole HVAC and he gave us 3 quotes. My husband decided to have a look at the compressor to make sure there was nothing we could do to repair it instead of having to replace it, since just the previous year we had also purchase a voucher from other HVAC supplier who also came and told us our compressor was decease and tried to sell us a whole new HVAC. We called Precision Heating and asked for a second opinion. They came back one day later and confirmed the diagnostic. So, we called the same small company that came the previous year (from our insurance) and asked them if they could repair the compressor. And they did. It turned up that the problem was with the capacitor, that due to the vibration of the fan, got loose and caused a short circuit in one of the cables. They replaced the capacitor for 100$ and something. Second time those guys have saved us thousands! So, I will NOT ever never hire Precision Heating & Air LLC. How can they be trusted if they couldn't or wouldn't want to diagnostic the problem accurately and instead push for the sale of a brand new HVAC?

The appointment went exactly as expected and I would hire them again.

They did everything they were supposed to do and there were no extra costs.

Technician was nice and seemed competent. However, after determining it was a capacitor, he did not have the correct part in his truck. No problem. At that point he told me it would be $289 to repair. And because we only had access to the exterior he would have to charge me $75 to come back? So he did not have the part but was going to charge me to come back? Lost my trust at that point. Called parts store and new capacitor was $50.00. I bought the part and spent under five minutes to install. All fixed. So $364 or $50 bucks and five??

Professional service and accommodating availability for appointments.

Derek showed up promptly was quick to diagnose our problem. He provided a thorough and honest assessment. We had issues with our AC unit last summer and used another Angie's list company. Although different services were provided today, I believe that Precision was equally or more cost effective. BOTTOM LINE: Functioning AC in Austin is a must and I am very pleased with our results.

The provider was considerate in recommending which angle's deal to purchase so that our out of pocket cost for the repair was minimal and stayed as long as it took to make sure the freon addition fixed the problem.

very nicely. the technician who called, who came was covering for precision. good person-went straight to the problem. i'm a retired doc, so know that time and knowledge are of real value.
