The repair dept. person told me that I would hear from Tamron within 2 weeks about probably repairs and get approval for the cost. I told him that I needed the lens for an Oct 5th event, and was this enough time for turnaround. He said that it definitely was, that I should have it back within a few weeks. After a month, I had heard nothing from either Tamron or Precision, so I called. At first, the guy on the phone told me that they didn't have a record of a lens from me. Then, after putting me on hold, he came back and said oh yeah, I'm transferring you to the girl that takes care of that. A woman got on the phone and told me that she would contact Tamron and call me back within a day or so. Two weeks later, I had not heard from her, or from Tamron, so I called AGAIN. She said she would check with Tamron and call me back. She did call me back later that day and said that cost of repairs was $150. I approved that, and reminded her that I needed the lens for an Oct. 5th event. She said it shouldn't be a problem, and would call me as soon as it came in. On the morning of Oct 4th, I called again since I had not heard anything about the lens. The man who answered the phone said that it had come in the night before. When I inquired as to why no one had called me, he said that a lot of lenses came in and they had to sort them, and I was scheduled to be called today. When I asked him why it took so long, especially after telling me that it would be just a few weeks, he said that 6 weeks was well within an expected time frame. I am rather dissatisfied with what seems to be a lackadaisical approach to both service and professionalism. And honestly, six weeks is NOT and quot;an expected time frameand quot; in my book. I would like to have said that I would NOT use this provider in the future, but it seems to be the ONLY camera store in the Austin area. If I cannot effect repairs online via Canon or Tamron, I will HAVE to use this provider. As an added note: I was planning on buying a new Mirrorless Camera System from them, but will most certainly not purchase it now. I would not want to have to deal with them regularly about equipment purchased there.

Their price was a little higher than average, but they were just excellent across the board. They knew what they were doing.

They were polite, helpful and knowledgeable in the service they provided. I am very pleased with them.

They are good. They do what they say. My wife is the camera person and she is very satisfied. I'm not sure about the price because she does the comparison on it.

They had good customer service. There was a lot of stuff to look at while they worked. They have a good selection of stuff. The guys that work there know what they're doing and they do a good job. The price they gave me for what I wanted done was very reasonable. I will definitely go back to them.

They're real knowledgeable and good at explaining at what they're going to do. I haven't really compared their price but it seemed reasonable.

They are very courteous and knowledgeable. They really understand the product very well. They are excited about the product as well. If I am looking for a camera or something along that line, I would definitely want to go to them because they will show me the best thing for my budget. There is one person there in particular, his name is Robert. He is a very dynamic professional photographer. He gives me what I need and not what I want. That is why I would recommend going to Precision Camera; because of the people they hire.

They're knowledgeable of cameras. They had a lot of background information on the camera we were looking for.

They do a pretty good job. There are not many people that clean the sensors properly. The customer service is really good. They were quick. It is also a professional store that is on open on Sundays, which you do not find often.

Precision Camera and Video have a reputation of being very knowledgeable. The staff are very professional and do quality work. I will use them again in the future.

Finding their location was a little painful, until I realized they had rented out storage units for their offices (which is actually pretty smart!). The manager was very friendly, showing me around their various offices and the services they offered. My camera was fixed and i've had no issues since. Thanks!

They are good. They are a very reliable camera store and a developing house. They are a little bit expensive. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Had to rent a comcorder to film a meeting - I know Nothing about camcorders. Noel was very helpful, found me the right equipment within my price range, patiently showed me all the buttons and was generally a pleasure to work with. Everything worked well. I could have transferred the images from the camera to a DVD on my computer if I had the right software and the time to figure it out. Precision did this for me for a $40 fee which I thought was high, but work was good.

I have rarely been dissapointed with the service or products.

Precision sent off our Canon to their authorized repair center in May. We paid for that service, and it was under a 90-day warranty. We took it in again a couple of weeks ago, but it was just barely out of the warranty period. We explained we'd only used it twice since they originally fixed it. A technician at the service desk spoke on our behalf to the authorized repair center, urging them to not charge a deposit. When Precision called us to pick up our camera, we were told they cleaned everything again, replaced some parts, and there would be no charge. I think it's great when a company stands behind their work, and Precision did!
