Both times --- lately in Sept. 2020, which included pad replacement --- the work was done quickly, thoroughly, and at the most reasonable of prices! I highly recommend the good folks at Powerhouse for their expertise and genuine caring.

+ -1 moreWhen I called for an appointment they were very responsive and gave me a date and time (between 9 and 11 AM) that was exactly what I needed. I was given an estimate of $204 plus tax with the understanding that it might be revised when the workers saw the true extent of the job. Adrian and Ben arrived promptly at 9:00 and said there was one more room to be done for an additional $25 to which I agreed. They were done in about an hour and a half and presented a bill for $274 plus tax -- this now included charges for stain removal and a moving fee. The cleaning was good but not all the stains were removed.
Description of Work: Cleaned the carpeting in 7½ rooms and a stairway, performed furniture stain removal in several areas. Moved almost no furniture since the rooms were either empty or they worked around large pieces but did move two rolled Persian carpets and about 30 boxes of books and documents.

air duct cleaning
+ -1 moreThe contractor arrived on time. He told me what he was going to do and how much it would cost. He informed me of extra services that he offered for additional fees. He did not go into the "hard sell", which I appreciated. He did the work, took my payment and left.
Description of Work: I contracted Powerhouse to clean out my air ducts. They inserted a long vacuum hose with a soft brush into each of the air ducts in my property. For an extra $50, they sprayed a disinfectant in the air ducts. This procedure may have worked well had the air ducts only been dirty from dust. However, the air ducts in this property had dirt, dog hair, dog food and other nasty things in them. The vacuum equipment that Powerhouse used did not remove as much of the nasty things that I had hoped it would. I ended up buying a shop-vac and an extra hose. I did the finish up work myself.

+ -1 moreCoupon stated $149 for unlimited vents. Once technicians arrived they said I had two returns which meant I had two systems. Additional cost $75. Disappointed that at the time appointment was set they did not discuss possible additional costs, approximate time the process would take and the fact that if any vents are above beds or valuable furnishings customer should protect them with sheets or plastic covering. They did a good job just felt they should have discussed these important issues. The cleaning process took 3 hours from start to finish. Arrived at scheduled time.
Description of Work: Cleaned 16 air ducts, 2 returns and vents including sanitizing ducts, returns, & vents.
