Started on Wed, 6th suppy delivery, Thursday started on roof. MOSTLY upset about treatment to property of ours and New neighbors along with our street cluttered with debris/nails including personal trash (chip bags, drink cans, water bottles/caps,banana peel, flatware, egg shell) left by workers on Day 1 & 2 on breaks and not covering filled trailer allowing more debris to blow out until they were to return on Saturday because of windy weather. Gutters took a beating, bent up, punctured and we will be cleaning out covered downspouts of blocked debris, mostly nails. Most concern is we have dogs which need a safe backyard upon leaving site, I spent 30 mins. picking up grouping of long unused nails along with smaller ones with discs attached along with trash, anything that my dogs may get into that would make it unsafe for them. It is a steep 2 story roof, took 2 Full days, 1 day break between but we were told May take 1 day. I will have to get my gutters worked on to fix the drainage/bent issues but at least I saw on the final day all the gutter back splashes were bent outward so told then to fix, figured this would have been a given but the Jr of the guy in charge was there to sign-off workers. A lot of my elephant ears took beating, left my hose turned on but sprayer held it in so didn't notice til second day after leaving job. Also its one thing workers use yard for breaks, its hard work for them not salesmen but when they take over the neighbors yard & driveways by blocking them I'm never for that. Thank goodness I have great ones that didn't mention/complain until next day but wished they had so I could have addressed when I had complaints during the job. Talked to Kevin mostly about my concerns, 1st day & last day by phone, not comfortable with responses so leave it at that.

I was approached by a door-to-door salesman for Power Remodeling. Yes, shame on me for encouraging them. He noticed that my windows were fogged from the broken seals and did his whole sales pitch. I had recently gotten a quote from a different window company for replacing them, so I was curious about how their pricing would compare. The sales guy was very nice, courteous and professional, I take no issue with him at all, he was clearly working off a script to schedule me for a free estimate. My sister and I, both women, were the only ones home to listen to the sales pitch. The sales guy and the scheduling associate that he had on speakerphone seemed excessively concerned with my husband, who was not present and whom they only knew existed because I replied affirmatively when they asked if I was married. They asked about a dozen questions about my husband, his name, what his schedule was like, if he would be home at the same time as me, etc. which should have been my first red flag. I shrugged it off and answered their weird questions and scheduled an appointment for the following week. Come appointment day, I received a call at the appointment time informing me that the window contractor had an emergency and wouldn't be able to make it. The person who called apologized profusely and asked if they could reschedule, I said the same time next day would be fine. I was again asked if my husband would be home and I replied *eyes rolling* that no he would not be, then I was told a scheduler would contact me. The next day, I got a call from a scheduler named "Mike" who went right to asking about my husband's schedule. At this point I was pretty flustered with the sexist nonsense, and I stopped him and inquired why they were so concerned about my husband, when I was the person who owned the house, I was the one ordering their services, and I would be the one to pay for the windows. He launched into some diatribe about how customer satisfaction increases when both parties are present to receive the estimate, then he basically refused to schedule my appointment because my husband would not be home, and ended the call by telling me to call back when I knew a time that my husband would be present. I am really curious to hear from some of the married male clients doing business with these people if they were incessantly questioned about their significant other's schedule and if the scheduler insisted this much on both of them being present for the estimate, but my money is on "no", and this whole thing reeks of misogyny. I will gladly fork over $5k to Austin Window World, they are happy to take my money without my husband's permission, fools.

Horrible. I noticed before installation one of the windows was marked wrong and called the company to let them know for I dont have 2 half windows. The window below is the right dimensions but regular window. They said they caught it already. When they came to install July 31, they didnt have the regular window and told me told me they had 2 half windows, but one was damanged on truck. So 2 windows not installed. They will come back. During the install a quality expert comes out mid day to review the project and I couldnt give feedback for they are still working. He was pressing very hard to sell me more doors, thus the only reason he was here for why come when job is not even halfway done. They left small strips of the molding on floor in front of each window where a child could choke on or a pet, didnt seal all windows properly, 2 windows didnt put the bottom piece in, 2 doors the frame did not fit correctly at the top right angles so they painted it which is really obvious, a screw fail out first time a tried to open a window, screen was tearing out of the bottom, and more. Long story short, they have cancelled 2 more times to install the windows again saying first time again it was broken and second time it didnt arrive. Also to address and fix all the issues. I called and was told to send pictures. I complained and someone came out and took pictures and agreed the install was not done properly. Do NOT trust corporate for they flat out did not tel lthe truth. Just tell me hey we still ordered the wrong window and should have told me before installing to let me know. I shouldnt have to ask why I dont have 2 windows being installed. Also, be aware when you order doors they are smaller so I have baseboards at the bottom that doesnt meet the door frames and you can tell that the paint is not there since frame is smaller. I am soooo glad I didnt do the other door for it is wallpaper aound the frame and there would be no way of fixing that with the missing half inch on each side of missing wallpaper. So 3 times still not done or anything fixed and I had paid down half the cost already. I told the company to look thru the records of the calls and statuses for this is not how an honest company should be doing business. I would not suggest anyone to use this compay and I have never felt this strong about any experiene with any company before.

The sales pitch was impressive, as were the two followup visits by office reps. Once the work started, things started to be less impressive. There was some confusion about a non-standard part of the job; the work crew knew nothing about it and did seem to want to. The promise of a crew that was better than what is usually found did not really come to fruition, either. We caught the crew leader sleeping in his car, and he was not particularly eager to address issues like the special aspect of the job or another that came up regarding the installation of a new piece of unpainted trim where there was no trim before. Generally, he did not seem very involved with the job. He did at least admit that it looked odd. Such a change that affects the way a house looks should have been discussed ahead of time. When we expressed concern with the construction manager indicated that “it looked like crap,” his first response was, “Can we get through this without using curse words?” My response was, “First of all, “crap is not a curse word...” Frankly, if I am spending $28k on a project and am not thrilled with something, saying “crap” does not seem out of line. I did at least talk them into painting the new, awkward-looking trim. It nonetheless sticks out like a sore thumb. We noticed after the crew left that the gutters are now scratched and bent in several places; there is one gutter that has what looks like a knife slit cut into it, so rainwater just shoots out from it now into the yard. That slit was not there before. We figured we’d bring this up during a followup call/visit, but no call or visit ever happened. I was home when the windstorm inspector came. He did not knock on the door to let me know he was here. He seemed annoyed when I stopped him as he was leaving to confirm who he was. The inspection report is also still “pending” in the TWIA system almost five weeks after the job was done. I know the inspector is not employed by Power Remodeling, but it would have been preferable to know he was coming so that I was not startled by the rooftop stomping; that considerable noise was unsettling before I realized what was going on. Overall, the roof looks fine, but the experience was neither the premium one we expected nor one worth the above-average price.

tl:dr This company has a high pressure sales tactic scheme to try and get you to commit to significant over payment on common services. They tried to pressure me on the spot to commit to a roof quote that was more than 2x several previous quotes I had received, quotes they didn't know I had and tried to lie about. They will send very savvy sales reps into neighborhoods where they have hooked someone. They will give you grave assessments about the status of your roof from an unqualified visual inspection from the street. They will then proceed to soften you up by telling you how great a company they are, customer bill of rights, top rated, etc. It's all nonsense. They will try to do other underhanded sales tactics by complimenting your property, or you personally, trying to get you to like them while they get info from you to get a proper quote. The giveaway in their scheme is obvious when they start asking "Does anyone else own the home with you? Partner, spouse?" They are trying to make sure they have the actual decision maker on the premises when they schedule their inspection. Know why? Because they are going to try and blindside you. When their actual inspector person comes, they will request to look in your attic. Why? They want to look for anything and everything to try and scare you into thinking their quote/prices are appropriate. They will over exaggerate anything and everything while trying to explain to you that "other companies" won't do the work properly, which of course ignores that half the stuff they point out isn't important to having a well sealed and long life roof on your home. Once they finish their inspection, after taking a few more times to ask you about video games, cooking, cars, or anything else they think they can try and connect with you on so you'll like them. They will give you not 1 quote, but two. Why two? Because one is their "normal" quote. The other is ~25% cheaper, which came to just shy of $10,000 in my case, where if you commit to their services right then and there, you get the cheaper rate. Of course while explaining how many issues your roof has, how unreliable other companies are, how they will over charge you, how they have a life time warranty etc. which is hilarious for a company that is 28 years old selling products that have 30 year lifespans. The fact is, these people try to show up on their time, and try to pressure you into signing a contract you're not ready for. They clearly don't stand by their prices or service, because they should be competitive with others. They use anchoring with a high price to try and get you to commit to the lower price on the spot, since they don't give you any time to get other quotes or compare before you "miss out" on the "great savings" they are offering. Don't be suckered in by these people. Get quotes from reputable companies in the area, they won't demand you sign on the spot, and will give you time to consult finances and do your own research. For your own records, they quoted me (non-special high pressure sales deal amount) $48,000 dollars to replace a ~1800 sq/ft roof. That is more than TWICE what this kind of work costs. Even if they were the highest quality, most professional installers in the world, I could buy two full roofs and still have ~$8000 left over going with almost anyone else. Do not do business with these slick high pressure sales people masquerading as a home improvement company.

Thank you for reviewing your experience with Power. It’s always been our goal to offer long term value to our customers for their investment in a premium product and service. In our 28 years, we’ve noticed that our homeowners are more pleased with their decision to invest more to receive a premium product and installation, and our 97% customer satisfaction rating speaks to that. We acknowledge that our in-home estimates may last longer than initially expected, as setting expectations for the installation process is paramount for a seamless remodeling experience, but it’s never our intention to overstay our welcome in a customer's home. When we meet with a homeowner, we explain the differences between our products and services and those of our competitors, while also discussing the various styles and options we offer. No other company sells the same products we do, as we have exclusive partnerships with our manufacturers. Our service promise is drastically different than other companies, our warranty is amongst the strongest in the industry. When you partner with Power, you’re partnering with a company that will work with you long after the original installation. It is our practice to involve all decision makers in the initial in-home estimate to avoid any miscommunication further down the line. We do this because we respect all homeowners and never agree to a project unless all relevant parties are present. This practice stands regardless of a homeowner’s gender. We understand this can be an inconvenience to some, but by exercising due diligence on the front end of the project, we remove the possibility of miscommunication or mistakes deeper into the project. This ensures that all parties involved are comfortable and aware of what to expect as the project begins. If you would no longer like to receive communication efforts from Power, we would be happy to facilitate that process. Please email digital@powerhrg.com with your phone number and home address, so we can flag it in our system.

The actual replacement of the widows went OK. Only time will tell on the quality of both the product and the work itself. The crew that installed the windows was very good at cleaning up OUTSIDE the home. However, dirt and mud was tracked and left throughout the house. Unlike when the salespeople called upon us, they wore covers on their shoes/boots. This crew did not wear any protective covering (after tracking through a muddy front yard!) and after pointing out the mess, they made a poor attempt to clean up behind themselves.

Went very well, the crew of two who replaced the sliding glass door were excellent. They answered my questions, offered suggestions, caulked the openings and even described the type of caulk they used, I can attest it is high dollar caulk. I need my 1970's sliding glass door replaced and I wanted one with blinds in between the panes. Love it and the installation went smoothly, clean up was great. They took away the old door and nothing was left, not even in my garbage can. Great crew I had another crew come and add extruded gutters, two guys, did it in no time flat. They replaced the old 1970's gutters, between by hail and just needed replacing. The main guy told me what they were going to do and answered all my questions, even told me about the downspouts positioning, away from the foundation. Clean up was great and while i had noticed some splotches underneath the gutters, i said nothing, and those were cleaned. Great crew as well.

The Power Home Remodeling Group was on time and very courteous, as work was done they would clean up each area as they completed. The products PHR sells are all custom made of sturdy high quality materials backed by a lifetime warranty. We are very pleased with our windows and patio doors, and believe we got the best bang for the buck as they say. Salesman was very courteous and thorough. He explained exactly how the process would go and it unfolded exactly as he described. The project inspector visited promptly prior to work starting and reviewed everything with us and settled final details for the installation. Recommended some alternate placements to improve drainage performance. Setup downspouts to accommodate rain barrels. Replaced and painted sections of soffit that had gone soft. Work crew was prompt, courteous, efficient, careful, and performed thorough clean up and removal. Project was executed very timely fashion. Single day, one visit installation. Installation looks great and we observed attention to details for a quality install. We did not get a competitive bid, and initially thought the quote was fairly expensive. This was based on an online search of material costs and generic estimates of per foot installation costs. We decided to go with this quote because we expected quality workmanship and anticipated good support from their warranty process.

I had a good experience with power home remodeling from the sales pitch through the complete window installation..I had 7 windows replaced in a 2 story condo which included a picture window 20 feet above my entryway..the crew ariived on time and went to work and got all windows done in 1 day...I am an elderly single lady and they had to move furniture and remove window blinds and draperies also. After the replacement windows were in the crew moved my furniture back and re hung my blinds and draperies...they also cleaned up afterwards and left my condo clean..they removed old screens and picked up all old windows and put tarps down to catch all broken glass and other debris..Excellent work..I would recommend this company to anyone..
