Every thing was done beautifully, and efficiently. Santos was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and personable. And the price was very reasonable. I would definitely use Perry Roofing again, and highly recommend them!

This was our second time using Perry Roofing. The first time was in 2009 for a smaller home. Since they did such a good job, we kept their name in case we needed them. Unfortunately due to a major wind storm, we needed to replace our roof so we got two other estimates in addition to estimates from Perry Roofing. Since we were repeat customers, they gave us a discount which made them the lowest cost. Since we knew their work, it was an easy decision and we have no regrets. The installation went smooth and the crew was caution to not damage our landscaping.

The replacement roof that was installed was the patented GAF-Elk Timberline Prestique 30 Yr High Definition. This roofing manufacturer provides an installlation guide to obtain the patented high definition shadowing effect. This recommended installation procedure was NOT used by Perry Roofing. GAF-Elk recommends trimming the start shingle on each row a specified amount to a produce the shadowing effect. Perry Roofing trimmed less on each start row than recommended and therefore our roof does not have the desired high definition pattern. Also, there are nails showing in some areas which might cause leaks. When I notified Perry Roofing, they said they did not use the manufacturer's recommended installation guidelines and the roof was fine. The replacement metal roof installation was a total mess. The original metal roof was bronze in color with ridge caps covering where the metal panels met at the crest. The replacement metal roof was also bronze. The installers did not use the recommended matching colored brads, but large galvanzied screws that were too long and very visible. The metal ridge cap where the panels met was just caulked with wide globby seams instead of an overlapping metal ridge cap. The installers scratched the bronze finish in a number of places that required paint to hide. These mistakes were corrected after I brought this to Perry's attention. In summary, I am disappointed with the appearance and quality of the new roof.

The estimator was the only one who got up on the roof and measured before making the estimate. The original price was good, we upgraded the shingles to 30 year because the insurance would cover that. They were delayed in starting because of the large number of roofs which were damaged around here. The crew worked 2 days as my house has a very steep pitch. They were careful about our garden as they tore off the old roof and there was very little damage. They did a great job on the new roof and cleaned up well. The first rain storm showed that they had misplaced some flashing so they can out the next day and replaced it. They did a good job.

We chose Perry Roofing because I liked the fact that they are locally owned and operated. They have been in the Austin area for a long time. Their initial estimate most closely matched our insurance adjuster's estimate. The other roofing companies were much higher. This has been a very busy time for roofing companies in our area but Perry's Justin Cook was the only contact of all the companies that consistently returned my calls. He showed up when he said he would. We had several no-shows from other companies- many unreturned calls. Justin was professional, courteous, polite and prompt. We chose to upgrade to 30 year shingles and have ridge vents installed. I think they did a great job. Our roof looks great. I haven't found any nails or debris in the yard. Overall a great experience.

The experience was good. They matched up with what their ratings were. They came when they said they would and their prices were competitive. Overall, they were easy to deal with.
