Patriot Fence & Roofing

Absolutely no follow-through with the Receptionist or the Estimator. Never got a quote that was promised Monday (it's now Thursday) and never received a return call when I called asking about the quote on Tuesday. I'm not in the habit of chasing people down to give them money.

Wonderful job. The Patriot crew did a superb job; always punctual; very pleasant to deal with and kept me informed through the whole (albeit brief) process. Honestly, I'm not used to this kind professionalism and courtesy by contractors. The workmanship was exceptional. My advice - use these folks for your fencing projects. Save some time -you don't have to look anywhere else.

We chose another contractor as their prices were a little less and they still had great reviews on Angie's List.

Great, I was worried about finding someone to do a small job. I will use them when it is time to replace the entire fence.

I called and spoke with them to schedule someone to come out and give me a quote on the repair. I gave her my contact information and phone phone number and she told me that she would check with her crew and give me a call back. After 2 hours, I had not heard anything back from them so I called them back and got ahold of the same person that I spoke to earlier. She said that she had called me and left me a voice mail and that fellow named "Austin" would be out between 5:30pm and 6:00pm that night to give me a quote. I informed her that I had not received any phone call or voice mail but I was happy that they would be coming out that day. I gave her my contact info and phone number again just to make sure (since she said she had called and I did not have any calls or voice mail). My wife had to take off from work early to make sure that someone was there at that time. The scheduled appointment time window came and went. No one showed up or called. At 6:15pm (15 minutes past the appointment window), I called them to find out where they were. Only the answering machine picked up. I did leave my name and number and told them about the no show and requested that someone call me back. I never heard anything back from them.

Their quote was the lowest we got, so we called to tell them they got the job. We didn't hear from them for a couple of weeks, so my husband called them back to tell them forget it. But their quote was so low that he took them back for the job. I would have rather hired a company that cost a little more but is more professional and returned my calls. They are scheduled to start the job in a week or so. We hope the quality of the fencing material isn't below standard since their quote was so low.

This is the second time that Patriot Fence has worked in my yard and I have been impressed with their punctuality, professionalism and fair prices. The job was completed in 1 day (I was prepared for 2) and the crew cleaned up and hauled off the old fence.

The guys were on time, began working immediately and did a great job. The supervisor and I did discuss what I wanted and gave me his suggestions. We did have a miscommunication on where the fencing should be from the driveway. I spoke with the manager that took over the job and they came back to redo the fencing on that part the next week, used most of the cedar and charged me a small fee. I think they did a great job, worked with me on the modifications and would certainly use them again and recommend them.

Their quality of work really stood out.

I was so impressed that he came the same day I called. He was polite and knowledgeableand did an excellent job. My fence looks good as new and my dog is safe and secure in the yard now. The price was excellent as was the results.

We had a visit one weekend early morning from a drunk driver in our front yard. The fence was in need of replacement after that visit. We called around to a few different fence companies (we weren't Angie's list members at that time). One company did not show up for the estimate and didn't return calls. Of the other companies providing estimated, we were impressed with Patriot's professionalism and prompt response. They arrived when they said they would, took time to offer options, and worked with us to find a good replacement fence (we changed fence styles slightly), and finished the work in a timely fashion. I'd use them again for fencing needs.

We called Patriot Fence for a quote and they came out the next day and we had a quote within 20 mins! Right afterwards, they also gave our neighbors a quote for their backyard to be fenced. Their quotes were lower than about 4 others that we had already received and could get the job done sooner. I don't remember how much my neighbors fence cost but I know they were very pleased with the price and quality of work. Everything was completed as promised and we're happy with the outcome as well. Great job overall!

I needed the entire back section of my fence, which was old, open wood pickets, removed and replaced with an iron fence. I also needed a new section of fence and a gate installed for a dog run, as well as some repairs to the existing fence that was remaining. Because I have a small dog, it was critical that the new fence have the puppy panels, and not have any gaps along the ground. This was made more difficult by uneven terrain that the fence was covering. Jameson, the owner, came out promptly to provide an estimate and listened carefully to my needs and concerns, i.e. safety and security for my pup. Once the deal was agreed upon, (his crew was actually able to start a couple of days earlier than planned) Chris, the crew leader worked closely with me to make sure they were doing everything just as I requested. Chris was excellent and worked very hard with Emmanuel to get the job done. He even dug up a small tree (as opposed to cutting it) that had to be removed when the new fence was installed so that I could transplant it. Overall, they were very professional, timely, and did a great job on my new fence! I'm very pleased with their work, my pup loves her new yard, and I would highly recommend Patriot fence for any job!

I search for over a month for quality fence companies. I had 4 companies that came out and did estimates. Patriot was 50% less then the other 3 companies which were all A rated. I dealt with Jerry W. He was funny, a straight shooter, and beyond fair on the price. I explained I wanted to put it up ASAP, 3 days later I have an amazing Cedar fence with 2 well crafted gates. The hardware on the gates are amazing quality and today the fence is already stained and dry. ALL LESS THEN 24 hrs.... We are constantly having people walk on our property for all sorts of solicitation and sales. Many times I feel like they are casing for their next theft. We recently had issues with outdoor property being stolen and now I feel MUCH safer having this fence up. I would recommend talking with Jerry, he will be there asap and don't bother with some of the other companies. I am not exaggerating half the cost and better quality.Thank You Jerry and Crew.. The job went very well. They may not call back very promptly, but they do a very good job. It pays to be persistent with this company in my opinion.

They did an incredible job. The owner went out of his way to clean up some of the construction little pieces before a party.

My initial contact was with James by phone. He gave me an estimate based on the measurements I provided. When the workers arrived at 11am as scheduled they confirmed the measurements and proceeded to begin the work. After the old fence was torn down, I provided some assistance in removing a tangle of ivy roots which had covered the old fence. The new fence was completed at about 6:30pm; they returned the next morning and removed the pile of debris which they had stacked in my front yard. The original telephone estimate was $1099, less the Angie's List 5% discount which came to $1044. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of their work and would feel free to recommend Patriot Fence Co. to anyone.

The wind blew my fence over on a Sunday night. I have 2 dogs so getting the rooted fence posts reliaced quickly was important. I called several fence companies along with Patriot. I had a very good experience with Patriot Fence. Several companies said the job was too small or not one of their services. Patriot owner, Jameson, gave me a quote over the phone and had a crew at my house 2 hours later. Manager, Austin, got the work underway and all was completed in one day. Clean up was good, quality was excellent, timeliness and attitude/demeanor couldn't be beat. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Good communication. Came on days it was freezing outside. Workers were very nice and cleaned up after the work. After the work was completed I noticed a few boards that weren't up to standard. I called and they came the next day to replace the boards with no questions asked. I would definitely recommend them. Several neighbors also had them do work as a result of the fine work they did for our home. Good work!!

We needed to replace a fence that we share with a neighbor and called several companies for estimates. Patriot responded really quickly and gave us a very competitive price. Actually, it turned out to be an even better deal after we figured out that they were using much better fencing and posts than the other companies. The work was done fast and we could not be happier with the finished product. Thanks Jerry!

Their services were really good. Jameson, the owner, was really nice. He gave us a good, thorough quote before he started. The work was done really quickly and it was done just exactly to our specifications. When we did the walk around after he finished we found two boards that needed to be replaced so they replaced those real quickly and it absolutely looks beautiful. We are real satisfied with his work.

I like their service and the quality of the work they did. Everything was good and there were no clean up issues. They give great service. I will use them again in the future.

I called and left a voice message regarding getting an estimate. After two days, no one had called me back, so I called them again. I spoke to a live person this time and set a day and time for someone to come out. They never showed and never called.

I did not have a pleasant experience with Patriot Fence and here's why: 1) I was quoted the project would take 2 full business days -- it ended up taking over 2 full WEEKS. 2) They had 2 days where no one showed and no one called. 3) Less than 1 week after the job was finished, the wood boards on my front gate started to fall off as a result of them not using the right kinds of screws that would actually secure the boards to the iron frame. 4) I had approached the owner of the company about honoring some kind of good faith discount given all of my frustrations and it resulted in nothing other than a verbal apology. The verbal apology was appreciated, but they lost a customer in me and I would never recommend them given they don't VALUE their customer's experiences.

I took bids from all the major fence companies on Angies List (AAA, ABC, SouthAustin Fence and Patriot). ABC was the lowest bid, AAA the highest. All aspects of construction and materials were the same to keep it even. Patriot was second hightest bid but they were the only company to call back after the initial bid to see where they stood in the game. I told the estimator (JW) they were out of contention as they had the second hightest bid. JW said, tell me the lowest and let me see what i could do. I told him the lowest bid (ABC FENCE) and he called me back in 15 minutes. His bid was now only about 65 dollars more than ABC Fence. The reason I now went with Patriot is because they are a South Austin Company and I wanted to give preference to a South Austin Company. All companies had good history via Angies list and BBB. The project took 1 week to start from signing the contract. First day JW and two of his employees took down old fence, and installed new fence posts. Old fence hauled away. Second day rails and pickets were installed. They worked until the job was done (or it became dark which ever came first). They sprayed weatherproofing on the fence (which was not even part of the bid they just do it out of good business practices). The fence looks great, they cleaned up after themselves. Bottom line..get multiple bids then let the companies re-bid if they want the job..It would have gone to ABC Fence if Patriot had not called back, but Patriot did a very good job.
