Cy Megnin was 45 minutes late for the noon appointment. After appt. time had passed I called and left message asking if we needed to reschedule. Within 10 minutes of my call I did receive a msg that due to a work emergency that morning he would be running late. He noted that he had difficulty contacting us due to need to go thru Angie's list email. Cy was pleasant and professional in his approach to analyze my wish list. We talked about the various items I was interested in and he gave me a rough cost estimate for the work and encouraged me to prioritize my list. He also pointed out several options that could reduce the cost and the length of time of the remodel. He stated that my kitchen drawing was what he would have provided under the purchased service so I asked and he agreed to do the plan for the guest bath remodel. It has now been over two weeks since the appt and have not heard back from One Call. At this time I have not received the plan for the bath remodel. (I view within two weeks as a fair response time. More 30 days would be lousy.)

We never heard back from him again so we haven't really proceeded to anything, we haven't got any estimates.

It worked out fine. They did a good job painting. It just seemed like they sent some people off that normally didn't paint because it was an Angie's List deal and they took forever to paint one room, but they did a great job. They just took a lot longer than I thought it would. They came out almost immediately after I purchased the deal.

They helped us with the design of the kitchen and sourcing the materials. I was very impressed with the process, Cy gave very good points on things to do and things to not do based on what we were trying to accomplish. They made sure everything was in the house before they started making the process of being out of our kitchen much shorter. I would not hesitate to recommend One Call Property Services and have several times already.

He took measurements only after I prompted him by saying I wanted everything measured, instead of just the floor and counter tops, which he suggested. He gave very little ideas as to what I could do. His ideas he did give were only after I gave an idea of what I could do. He made me feel as though he did not want to be there. After he sent that last email, I just stopped communicating with him. I should not have to be so persistent to get him to comply with that deal. I've used two services off your list and I am very dissatisfied. I was supposed to get reimbursed for a deal I paid for, but was told by the provider, I did not need his services but another type of service provider. I still think he could have come out and provided his service and told me about getting the other service provider. I am working on my house to sell it, and it would be nice to know before an inspection, how my foundation is. When a provider refuses to provide a service you need to have a system in place were they let you know, and the member can get reimbursed without having to go through all that you have been putting me through, without giving my money back. And I have called and talked to two people on the phone, and I still have no idea if you are going to give my money back, or what I need to do to get it back. This was a total waste of time and money.

Sy and Andrea run the co. and they are clearly there to make sure everything is done right. Sy came by a few times to check on the job and to make sure I was happy. They will do all of my future painting.

They didn't communicate with us at all. We let them in they took a look and said they would be done by the end of the day. The guy that painted called my husband and said they were out of pain, which we thought was odd since we bought a 5 gallon Valspar paint and primer in one, the entire 5 gallons was GONE. My husband ran over to Lowes purchased an additional 5 gallons. After work we went to look at the bedroom and there was one coat everywhere. It looked ok, but we had to call them to find out when they were returning to finish, since they said that it would be done in one day and it still was not complete. They said they would be back tomorrow to finish the job, but how would they do that since they didn't have the key nor did they call us to ask if we would be available. We came back the next day to look at the room and there were spots everywhere mostly around edges and corners. The owner stated that it was the paint and it was terrible he said he put 5 coats in areas and it wouldn't stick. So I paid extra for 2 coats when only one coat was applied and so what happened to my first 5 gallons of paint? Who knows maybe they used it for another job, I would never leave someone unsupervised again. WHAT a RIPOFF.a waste of my hard earned money UPDATE : Feb. 21, 2014 I truly am sorry for this whole situation, this event has taken a complete 360. I recently talked to the Valspar rep. and explained to him what happened concerning the painters taking 5 coats of paint with their best paint to complete two rooms; and it still wasn't finished. So we where out money for the labor of the painter and the actual paint. The Valspar rep. had me take a photo of the paint that I purchased. The response I received from him was mind blowing. He explained to me that the paint that I received was supposed to be tinted. It was a base "B" and a base B is supposed to have a tint in the paint. If there is no tint then you basically have a paint that won't cover. So now this all makes sense that the painter took more than 5 coats to paint and more than 5 gallons to paint the room and it was still unfinished. Sorry folks this a true and difinite mistake on our part. I blame the paint specialist who gave us the paint and recommended that we use this base "B" without a tint. The Valspar rep wants to make this right by providing me with two new 5 gallon cans of paint and he wants to compensate One call Property services with two 5 gallon cans of paint as well, to make him a believer. My deepest apologies. If I could have this review deleted, I would. The mistake was the paint that was given to us, not One call property services. Now it makes sense why it took them 2 days to try and paint the room with paint that was supposed to be tinted. Because we were unable to to see their work in its entirety, I will put N/A across the board. One call property did not have a chance with the paint we provided; it was not their fault.

We are pleased to say Cy @ "One Call Property Services" did a great job in our home. The galley kitchen and breakfast room were in need of some fresh paint so we gave Cy a try. Once the job was completed there was not a drop of paint or a speck of dirt noted anywhere in our home. Cy arrived on time and started work right away. His work area was well organized and remained so during the entire job. I had 3 similar colors that were to be used for this project so needless to say I expected to pay an additional fee for this request. Well no fee was charged and Cy seemed surprised that a service provider would charge extra just to stir up another can of paint. Cy worked the entire time he was here and finished in the amount of time advertised. He cleaned everything up and left the work area spotless. How did I find Cy and One Call Property Services? I received an email one day from the "Angie's Big Deal" program. "One Call Property Services" offered 4 hours of painting for $99 so I purchased the deal. This Big Deal allowed me to try out a new service provider without spending a lot of money. Now that we know what to expect Cy will be getting more work requests from us. In fact we just scheduled another paint project and a sheet rock repair/replacement due to a leak in our chimney. I am certain that these additional projects will be done well and on time. Thanks Cy - we look forward to working with you again

He arrived on time and did the work satisfactorily. It was a tiny powder room, so there was not a lot of painting to do, but there was a ton of cutting in, and very little space to work in. He took about 2 1/2 hours and cleaned everything up afterwards. Very courteous, very professional. I hope to use him again when we need some bigger jobs.

I contacted Cy on a Wednesday and asked if he could come in 2 days (very short notice). Happily, he said yes :) He came, painted and left everything in great order. His impeccable attention to detail was very much appreciated. It was such a relief to have the work done quickly so I could get everything back together in one day Thanks Cy!

`Cy was great he responded to the bid immediatstely and came out the next day. I wanted to add a shower in an under stairs storage area adjacent to a powder room. Cy looked at the space and told me why that was not a good or adequate space for a shower. He expalined to me what I would need to do if I wanted to add a shower, which included expanding into the dining room. I opted not to pursue the shower. He was very professional in all his advice which was very good. The only thing that didn't go as well was getting a bid to do the work we talked about in a timely manner. 2 other contractors gave me a bid much sooner and when I did get Cy''s bid I went with one of the others because they came in with a lower and complete bid and could start the work sooner. I would use Cy again and used consider using him in the future.

They did a fabulous job. There was great attention to detail and very precise work that was just fabulous. They painted a smooth coat all across the spectrum of the job.

Prior experience with the half-bath remodel and office tiling was outstanding - timely and responsive interactions, quality work, very professional. Unfortunately, lately been having difficulty getting the bids back on our currently planned bathroom remodel. Have had several emails without replies, bids promised that have not been provided. Would really, really like to use Cy again, but am now hesitant to commit to any work (assuming we could get the bid, first,) in case we end up having trouble getting the job started or finished on schedule. This has been a significant departure from our first experience.

I purchased a $99 One-Room Painting Deal on Angie's List.com. Cy (owner) was very responsive and setup the work within 1 week of me calling him. Cy also showed up and started his guys, which I appreciated. Finally, I had some smudges and spots that didn't dry well and Cy was ready and willing to come out and patch them up nicely. I'm very satisfied with the level of service and professionalism.

Let me preface the review with this...I hate leaving negative reviews. I have been a long time Angie?s List user. I have used the list for many things, contractors, doctors, etc. and never had a single problem. This unfortunately is not one of those times. Here is my experience with One Call Property Services: I called One Call Property Services to schedule an appointment to have my children?s rooms painted and had to leave 4 voicemails over the course of almost 2 weeks. On Jan. 11th I finally received a call from Cy (who I am assuming is the owner) and he left a message and I called him back 20 minutes later only to have to leave another message for him, which is his cell phone and not an office number. Many more messages later, I finally received a call back on Jan. 20th (9 days later). I spoke with Cy that time and he informed me that the only days he had available were Jan. 27th and Jan. 31st. I choose the 31st and he told me that I was scheduled for the 31st and the painters would be there that morning. He asked me to send a follow-up email to him with my address, which I did immediately after speaking with him and made sure to reference our conversation and our appointment date. On the 30th, I hadn?t received a confirmation call for the appointment the next day so I called and left a message to confirm our appointment the next day. I never heard back from him. I wanted to make sure that we were ready for the painters since I assumed that they would be there the next morning. We removed everything from our children?s rooms, with the exception of the beds which we moved to the center of the rooms. If you have children, you will understand that removing everything from their rooms is very time consuming...many toys, books, stuffed animals, dressers etc. I also removed all of the faceplates from the outlets and light switches. We were ready to go the morning of the 31st. By 8:49 am I had not heard from Cy and no painters had showed up so I called and left a message. By 9:30 I still hadn?t heard back from Cy and still no painters. I called again and t\he answered this time. I told him who I was and wanted to know when his painters were going to be at the house. He said ?you don?t have an appointment?. I explained to him that we had spoken on the 20th and we had scheduled for the 31st and I had even called and left a message the day before to confirm our appointment. I reminded him about the email that I sent on the 20th confirming the date and our address. He said ?well, I don?t remember talking to you and you aren?t on the schedule so I know that we never schedules you?. He then said ?I don?t know what to tell you. I can try to get someone out there but that probably isn?t going to happen?. By this time my frustration kicked in and told him that I would give him an hour to get someone out to our home. I told him that I didn?t want to leave a negative review on sites like Yelp and Angie?s List but I would if he didn?t get someone out here to do the work that he had scheduled. He was leaving me no choice. He then said ?you can do whatever you want. I really don?t care if you leave a negative review?. And then he hung up on me. You are probably reading this review thinking...this lady is crazy, why in the world would she put up with a company that can?t even return phone calls in the timely manner. I would say that you are absolutely correct and I will NEVER make this mistake again. Ever. I am leaving this review to tell you about my experience. If you chose to use One Call Property Services, please know what you are getting into. I can assure you that they will not live up to their name because you will definitely have to call more than once. If I had it all to do again, I would never have chosen this company.

Great - Cy Megnin is very professional, punctual. His subcontractors did a good job and met our expectations. Cost was reasonable.

I really enjoyed working with One Call because they did a wonderful job. He built a very special cabinet that was different and unique, he did a beautiful job. Their estimates were always right on the money and they were very nice guys, their professionalism was very good.
