Beau called to verify his arrival time and was at the door on time. He is friendly and makes sure each job, no matter how small, is done right. He is knowledgeable in many fields and had some great ideas for our front and back yards when I complained about several aspects of the garden and the grass. I will definitely call him when Spring arrives so we can follow through with his suggestions. He will also be coming back to redo the mirror trim in the master bathroom. I'm sure that for someone who does remodeling as well, the fix will be a huge improvement. I found Beau through an Angie's List offer and since the job today was more minor than I had initially needed, he is carrying the remainder over to the next job. As for the garage door - the fix was out of his line but Beau had a connection he highly recommended and put me in touch with him already.

Home Services showed up when they said they would and did the work. The caulk looks at least as good as before, if not better. In addition all of my questions were answered, so that I understand much more about how caulk works and when to use sanded or un-sanded caulk.

He was in and out in 30 minutes. I asked for suggestions as I am a single lady and can always use advice, but Matthew seemed happy to come do a few things here and there anc call it quits. I also asked him about other doors in my home but he did not seem interested. I also noticed a $99.00 dollar charge for him, then a $9.99 charge from Angie's List. Can someone explain this to me?

I purchased 2 hours of handyman service. All he got done was 17 ft of baseboard installation in a hallway. Not a lot of work for 2 hours. I was dissatisfied.

"Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that you were not happy with our service. You purchased a 2 hour handyman and had an unreasonable list of projects for him to accomplish. You had 40ft of baseboards and caulk to install, 3'x3' closet you wanted cedar panels installed and laminate flooring. That is too much work for two hours and you did not want to purchase additional hours. (I went over this with you at the time of scheduling). He got there went over the jobs with you and told you what he could do in 2 hours and he started working. You have to understand that it takes time to get your tools out, measure, cut, and install. Two hours goes by fast. We appreciate your review and we value our customers but your request needs to be reasonable."

I purchased the $99 for Drywall & Plaster Repair "deal" in early Spring. Never heard from them, so called Aug 11 and was told they were trying to hire a new drywall person and would call me afterward to schedule my work. The "deal" was to expire Sept 7 and they never called back, which is what I assumed would happen after our lame conversation. I did my part by paying upfront, they took the money and did no work - nice racket.

Had them come over to estimate the job as it was much more than what 4 hours would cover. They honored the deal and took off the amount from the final. The estimate of the number of days stretched by one day, but not a problem on my end. They scheduled their work, plus some handled by a drywall subcontractor and a roofing subcontractor. They were courteous and cleaned up every day.

Prepaid for a 3hour job. When I called to schedule I was told to buy the dry wall piece because they don't provide it. The service person was professional and completed his job in about 2hours. Overall good service.

The three exterior doors were catching in the door jambs, making them hard to open and close. The technician adjusted the hinges and (I believe) shaved pieces of the door jambs and the doors to adjust how they fit together. He explained the repairs he made and why there may still be some issues (shifting of the door frame due to foundation settling). One of the springs in the interior door's knob was worn out, which caused the action to stick. That was not repaired, just diagnosed. A few small things: I think internal door knob parts should be standard equipment for a door repair appointment. I would have been happy to pay for them, but instead I will probably have to drive to the hardware store and purchase a new set of door knobs. Also, one of the exterior doors was still slightly rubbing after the technician said he was done. He stayed and worked on it after I mentioned it, but I think it should have been handled beforehand.

There is no way that we could carry on our trucks all the parts it would take to do door maintenance on a door knob much less knowing what kind of parts are needed without looking at the knob (Who knows how many different door knobs are out there) Door maintenance also includes a lot more than trying to repair a door knob like weathering striping, adjusting the doors, replacing the door knobs, replacing locks etc… There are times when you just might need a new door install because the old one can’t be fixed.
