He was great. I had purchased a big deal for the service, and it worked out beautifully. I had purchased the big deal for $99 and there were no additional charges. They were very thorough, very professional, very courteous, but mostly very proactive. He checked things that I didn't ask him to check. He was very pleasant to have around the house. I would have preferred if he would have come out in a few days instead of 10 days.

On-Call performed the job quickly and did an excellent job. They had two painters come to caulk all the seams on our wood house, patch any issues with the wood and paint the entire exterior plus eaves. They had a paint truck come out to match our existing color and it looks great. Excellent job.

It went well. The weather stripping was replaced and my doorbell works now. The provider was very polite and helpful.

It was fine. They were very pleasant on the phone.

It was great. The guy who came out fixed everything I wanted and more. He did a great job. He had great ideas.

He did a great job at re-bolting the wall. The wood he replaced did not match and looks awful. He was supposedly their best carpenter.

Rick called that he was running late arrived closer to 0915/0930hrs in his 0800-0900hrs window. When I meet him at the front door he gave me a verbal list of jobs that I had mentioned about to the receptionist at OnCall back in August, well the list had changed. I would have preferred someone had called the day before to confirm especially since this was a Saturday appointment but no one did. Anyway Rick first checked out the balance on a ceiling fan I thought was wobbly well it wasn't he proceeded to instruct me on how ceiling fans were installed and such really I didn't care nor wished for the lecture. After that Rick was shown where the new fan needed to be installed, and where I wanted the ceiling hooks placed outside on the patio, he confirmed the distance between each one and how many. When Rick was beginning to install the ceiling fan he suggested he could install a wall control switch, and we looked them up online I agreed to go out and buy one for him to install. Rick had to move his pick-up truck to one side of my driveway in order for my car to get out of the garage since I was blocked-in. Rick installed the fan partially, and hung the hooks on the patio and proceeded to have several smoke breaks while I was gone and when I came back I found him outside smoking. At this point I realized later my hour and half of time was used up Rick didn't inform me of this I guess when I agreed for him to install the wall switch I was paying for overtime. After some trial and error Rick was able to install the wall switch successfully he offered to install another one I brought for an additional fee he estimated it would take 90 minutes to 2 hours more I declined as he had been at the house for a long time. My assessment on On Call is that they hire subcontractors or laborers (no uniforms) with experience in handyman tasks. Rick in particular is good at what he does just be wise to when he arrive, where he parks and when your time is up.

I thought it went very well. He was a nice, responsible guy, was well organized with plenty of tools, and tried to be as efficient with his time as possible to make sure I got in the most tasks completed as possible off of my list within the two hours. This was a good, economical solution to crossing several fix up items off my list, and I thought it was well worth using OnCall to hire this guy. I would hire him again for things of this scale in a heartbeat.

She alluded to the fact that there was a communication issue. She didn't seem to understand what I was going for. She wanted to send someone out to assess the situation, but I thought that it was well explained. The trim molding seemed to be a problem but I said that I could handle that. I decided to go a different way because the services were going to be much more than what I had paid for with the deal.

They were courteous, professional and efficient. Couldn't of asked for more.

Everything went really well. He fixed the lock on my door, installed the house numbers over the garage, installed shelving in my laundry room, cut down a rotten tree limb and hauled a bunch of cinderblocks into the back yard. He was great and took care of all the items on my to do list.

The service provided was great and very quick. I was happy that the company would complete the service on a Saturday. I felt very comfortable with Rodney and he was very informative.

Needed some rotted decorative trim pieces removed from a workshop building in back yard was primary task. There were scheduling problems, both from their end and mine, but Julie in the office was very nice and stayed with it. However when we did connect, the person first sent to do the work said that he would not do the job as I had requested, which was just cut the trim pieces off. He wanted to removed the facial boards and redo the entire facing. He wanted to make a trip to HD for supplies I had not anticipated and estimated about 5 hours to complete and quoted me $75/hour for the additional time. Pressed about just doing as I requested, he said his tool that would just cut off the boards was broken and he would need to go and get it fixed and return to the job, again I would pay for his time for him to go and fix his tool. It was clear he was trying to expand the job and was very pushy. I sent him away and called Julie, who agreed with me that was not how he should have acted and then they sent another person (Trent Struck) who did an excellent job. He not only did what I asked on the trim pieces, but he did two more jobs in the time allotted. He cleaned up everything.

Showed up on time, and were very friendly. I had a difficult front-entry dual door situation, also with a broken storm-door latch. It was over 30 years old, with many issues. Insulation and fittings were added and adjusted. They stayed a little overtime to finish the job, and ran to home improvement store on their (gas) dime (except I paid for parts). They recommended replacing the entire double door unit, but the house is a rental, so they tried to fix it. They were honest and sincerely tried their best, although some of the quality didn't quite make it. I also have to say, I love dogs and for me it was fine they had a puppy with them; although other customers might not be so accepting and loving.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was awesome. I even had him come back. He was amazing. His name was Rick and he was unbelievable. There were no additional charges. He comes off as a big doofus when you first meet him but he was so smart. He knows his stuff. I am totally passing him on to all of my neighbors. He was wonderful. I would absolutely use him again.

Very pleased with everything they did, Rick was assigned to the project. Very honest, curteous, punctual, a true craftsman and offered a lot of great advice.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for 4 Hours of Wood Rot Restoration and Repair for $149. The appointment was booked for August 29. With a scheduled arrival time between 1:30 and 2:30. On August 29 (the day of our appointment) at 2:15, we got a call that we would have to reschedule. My husband rearranged his work schedule to be home early this day just to make the appointment. We rescheduled for September 5 (the following Friday) at the same time (between 1:30 - 2:30). On September 5, at 9:31 am, we got a call asking if he could come early. My husband said "No, I am at work and can not leave. I am available at 1:30 as previously scheduled.". The repair man said "OK, I'll see you at 1:30". At 2:40, he had still not shown up or called. This is twice that my husband rearranged his work schedule to be home for the appointment. We are requesting a refund. P.S. The lady on the phone was very nice and very apologetic. The problem was with the repair man.

Before the three hours was up, Trent not only made the problematic door the best it can be, he also installed a ceiling fan where I never thought a ceiling fan could be. He was here and ready to go first thing in the morning as scheduled and did a great job the whole time. Trent's ability to work with what was available was impressive and my only additional expense was for three new door hinges to replace the bent hinges that were part of the problem. His ability to make the door safe and stable took lots of check, adjust, re-check, and re-adjust with a number of tricks to get the door to work in a door frame that truly needs to be replaced which I can't afford right now. Clearly well experienced and able to make things work in a less than ideal situation. My hats off to you, Trent!

They have been wonderful to communicate with and have been excellent to work with at this time. The supervisor is coming out to look at the job just due to the complications involved.

The consultant was on time, very knowledgable and immediately put me at ease. It was very clear these are experts and have done this work before. I would recommend them if you need help getting started like I did. Excellent service provide.

I called them and told them what needed to be done. They said I needed to provide the materials, I just think that this deal doesn’t seem to be a match. I take responsibility for not reading the fine print.

David did a great job. He showed up exactly when he was scheduled and was very thorough. The work was completed perfectly and everything was cleaned up afterwards.

While there was a slight hiccup in the scheduling, the work performed was done well. We initially had an appointment for one morning, but provider had to reschedule due to another job taking longer than expected. The gentleman that did the work pointed out problems that previous homeowners had left behind in their attempts to "fix" some of the doors. We definitely appreciated the advice on how to remedy the situations.

It took a while for them to call me back. When I did hear from them it did not seem professional and that made me weary about using them.
