This is a terrific place. If you're in the neighborhood (Northwest Hills), you probably know about these folks. If you don't you should.
Description of Work: This is a friendly neighborhood hardware store--the sort you never want to lose to the box stores. The owners and staff are always friendly and helpful. They'll spend time with you, give advice, recommend competitors if they don't have it, shoot straight. Costs a bit more because of the size, but I always go there to get my nuts, bolts, light bulbs, AC filters, door stops and the occasional gift.

When I called, they quoted the higher end of estimated costs, and indicated that they were backed up two to three weeks on screening jobs. My son dropped the screens off on Wednesday, and Saturday afternoon, they called and said they were ready to be picked up, and that the cost was $15 per screen. When I expressed delight about both the lower rate and the really quick turn-around, they said that because they were newer screens, and they understood that we really needed them sooner, their screening person stayed late to work them in. We love shopping at Northwest Hardware because of the friendly--and excellent-- service, and the screens look great!
Description of Work: Last spring, most of the screens on the second story of our house were damaged in a severe hailstorm (along with our roof and gutters!). The screens were the last of repairs to be done. Northwest Hardware re-screened at their store. Cost per screen ranges from $15 to $30, depending on size and structure.
