A couple of items had some damage, but it was pretty minimal given the amount of stuff we moved, and the distance traveled - probably less than $50 of damage overall.
Responsiveness to phone calls was not always the best from the person in charge of our move, but I was able to get most of my questions answered by calling and talking to the office staff, who were very helpful. The guy in charge of our move did answer my remaining questions - just not always the same day. Overall, it was fine, and given the competitive price, I was pretty happy with NorthStar overall.

Stefy was a delight to deal with while coordinating my big move. The guys/movers (I feel horrible that I waited too long to write this review and now forget their names!) were right on time, hardworking, nice and helpful in every way. I really appreciated their professionalism and their attention to detail. They were quick without being sloppy and moved all of my belongings with zero damage.

After they arrived, first, they explained the contract, and what they would do, how much the cost would be. This was done quickly in less than 10 minutes. Then they start the move right away. They moved all the boxes, furniture, bed frame, mat, kitchen items, my plants to their truck. They moved my washer & dryer down and then moved the landlords' washer & dryer up from the garage, and they installed. This was very nice! As you can image, many movers wouldn't. The load was done in 1.5 hours and we moved on to the destination. This was a local move, so they arrived at the new address in 30 minutes. Then they finished the unloading in about an hour. Finally we went through the paper work together, made the payment and tipped.
The total amount was 3 hour times 140 per hour = 420. I bought the angies list coupon (50 value 150), so the final amount was 320. They didn't ask for tips, but we did because of their good job. So for a 2bedroom move, you are looking at somewhere around 400 dollars including tips.
