Noa Noa Design Solutions

Wow. Night and day, before and after Noa's visit. Couldn't believe the progress that was made. I am a recovering clutterer and my husband throws *nothing* away. We have bred clutterers to boot. ;-) I have to admit that I have hired Noa Simmons more than once. We have had a different project each time. Noa starts each session with a heart-to-heart about what isn't working, what is holding me back from getting rid of stuff, etc. The conversation she had with my husband was ground-breaking. After decades of not being able to get him to let go of anything, she approached him and asked him about four minutes of questions, and unbelievably, he gave her carte blanche to clean up his huge mess (think national TV reality show) while he was out of town. I was incredulous. But she is so noncharged and nonjudgmental that she actually makes it fun (even when it's really hard) to clear your space and move forward. I am sitting at my desk and there is nothing on it except what needs to be there, thanks to Noa--who knew the surface of the desk was so pretty! I find that Noa is very gifted in establishing systems. She was able to solve my "scraps of paper" trail and stay organized. There is nothing that Noa has "fixed" that has come undone. The systems makes sense for our family and we are then able to maintain them. We are slowly finding our way out of our nightmare mess. And for those of you who are parents, do this for your children. If they are young, then will learn from your new behavior and not be embarrassed by your mess. If they are old, they will thank you for not leaving the mess for them to clean up when you are no longer around. Sorry, but that is the reality. As my son (a reformed clutterer) often reminds me, "Mom, no one wants your stuff." Gotta go--I have a trunk full of stuff to take to Goodwill, and Settlement House is coming tomorrow to get the big stuff. Moving forward!

Overall, Noa's work was excellent. She accomplished what I wanted and exceeded my expectations. It took a while to get an appointment because she had recently offered a Groupon which had a high response rate but it was worth the wait.
