UPDATE (06/13/2010) I consulted with Roy, owner of New Creations I gave him my "want's and my budget for a kitchen remodel. Roy came back quickly, with a detailed remodel bid. The bid included a breakdown for each component of the remodel. This detailed bid allowed me to discuss other options to stay within my budget, but get some of the upgrades in products that I wanted. EX: Crema Bourdeaux Granite, Black & Tan Kohler undermount cast iron sink, travertine stone backsplash. Our home was built in 1992. The kitchen layout is very functional and comfortable for our lifestyle, but had builder grade formica counter top, funky flower wall paper, plain shiny white tile back splash. The lighting was a horror. The cabinets were nice and in good shape, but the color was dated? light, pickled ash. I now have new crema bourdeaux granite counter tops with ogee edge, travertine back splash with glass tile accents. NC craftsmen removed a huge florescent lightbox and installed recessed lighting, undercabinet halogen and over cabinet accent lighting. All on dimmers. Removal of wall paper, retexture & painting of ceiling and walls, kitchen cabinet resurfacing, with new drawers, glides, door fronts. It's amazing, the cabinets look totally new. Juan, the cabinet craftsman added larger molding along the top, enclosed the tops with smoother wood (facilitates cleaning), added to the bottom of the cabinets, legs, which make them look like a custom piece of furniture. I had the painters repaint the ceiling and walls of the adjoining family room and breakfast area? as they all flowed together. I had the electricians install updated lighting and ceiling fan in the adjoining family room, breakfast area, formal dining room and entry. The craftsmen came when expected and cleaned up after themselves. I felt very comfortable, not being in my home at all times, that the craftsmen were doing their thing. The last week things slowed a bit..., when just the smaller details and touch up painting and some touch up cabinet work was needed. I did follow-up by email to check on status of final details and walk through. One quick email to Troy and the details were followed up within a day. I am very pleased with the final look and functionality. I would highly recommend this company. Oh, they have a great area in their office, with samples, of tile, granite, cabinet finishes, back splash ideas. I had done quite a bit of research prior to starting the process. I already had an idea in my head of the look for the. Granite color and quality, cabinet color and paint color.... but Roy was great in working with suggestions or validating my choices from his experiences, on the backsplash design and color and cabinet color Thanks to all at New Creations. Last fall, New Creations did a complete remodel of my kitchen. From beginning to end everything was done on time, within budget and with tremendous professionalism. Importantly, everyone cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. I am very picky and slow to make up my mind, but Roy and his crew were always patient and accommodating. In the end, I couldn?t be happier with my kitchen. The design is functional and fits my needs perfectly. The craftsmanship of the cabinets is first rate. The tile work is exceptional. And, just a few weeks ago ? nine months after my kitchen was finished ? I called Roy when I noticed a slight problem. Two days later my problem was fixed. Roy is all about a quality product, top notch customer service, honesty and integrity. He says he stands behind his work and he does. I would recommend Roy and New Creations to anyone looking to remodel their kitchen.
