Work was done efficiently and quickly (less than an hour). Work was done fine, but their pricing strategy is way out of line with what was done and expected. Price gouging at it's finest. Parts for this total project cost less than $100 (i've done my research on a tension spring and rollers). Cost for a tune and lube was $189, yep $189 to spray some lube on the joints of the garage door (I've got a can of spray lube in my garage they could have borrowed). I maintain my garage door for the most part, but springs do wear out. The cost was 2 x the cost to replace a spring and install a new garage door opener by an outside contractor 5 years ago. I am awaiting a response from the company representative. Parts and labor should have been less than $3-500 based on research and this includes a visit after 5pm on a weeknight.

Our garage door torsion spring randomly broke on a Tuesday evening, after 5pm. I was having to leave town for work the next morning. I called Neighborhood Garage Door Service and let them know what my trouble. Within the hour Russell was at our house. I showed him the problem and he quickly explained how the part worked, why it was important, and gave a rough quote of pricing of work. He also said it would only take about 30 minutes. True to his word, the springs were replaced within that time. I was truly amazed how quickly everything happened from the time I called (about 8:15pm) to the time Russell was leaving our house (about 9:40pm). Everything was handled so professionally! Our garage door has never been quieter! If you need an emergency garage door fix do not hesitate to call Neighborhood Garage Door Service!

It went very well. Here on time, done in timely mannner and very professional. He even did extra on putting oil on everything, checked and tightened all door joints. Checked it all out for me. I was very pleased.

One spring on my double garage door broke on a Saturday morning and I called several companies to get a quote over the phone. Neighborhood Garage Door Service (NGDS) didn't give me an exact quote over the phone but said it would be $39 for a service call and about $150 for replacing the spring and there wouldn't be a service charge if I had them do the work. They were quick to come out. When they got there they indicated it would cost $150 to replace the one spring but the other spring might break at some point, and they wanted to charge me the $39 service charge that I thought they said would not be charged if I paid the $150 to replace the one spring. They also recommend a zinc type spring that was a single spring that would replace the 2 springs I had and lasts longer and has a lifetime warranty. It wasn't a lot more than the $150 plus $39, and then they came down on their price and cut me a better deal on the zinc spring so ended up paying $239 total for the one zinc spring to replace both of my springs When I was signing their tablet I scrolled down and noticed that they had marked no warranty on the spring, so I had them change that. They also told me that if the spring broke within 5 years they would only charge me a $39 service call to replace it. However, when I got the receipt emailed to me ii indicated that there was no warranty on the labor after 30 days. But later a NGDS person called me and we talked about it and he said he would change the receipt to include the warranty on the labor if I did a review, and they would also give me a $25 gift card. So I was a little perturbed that I had to write a review just to get what the warranty that the installer had promised me. After I wrote the review I called and emailed them but I never received an updated warranty statement for the labor, nor did I receive the gift card I was promised. I really don't like it when a company says they will do something and then they don't honor their word.

The torsion spring broke Friday night and I called Neighborhood Garage Door Service of Austin first thing Saturday morning. They scheduled me in for later that morning. I received a call 35 minutes before the techs arrived. Jason and Josh were very polite, professional and did an excellent job. There was a light bulb out in the garage door opener and they took care of that without asking. I will definitely use them again for maintenance and repairs.

The service was very prompt. The company had called early in the morning letting me know the service person would give a 30 minute heads up call, and he did. I had pulled my vehicle out of the garage in preparation for the service man to work on the doors. I left the garage door open behind me. after 35 minutes I thought I saw a repair truck drive by, but no one came to the door. a few minutes later I walked out to the garage and saw the serviceman walking around inside my garage. He said that he was just getting ready to knock on the door. He asked if I had told the company that I had 8Foot garage doors, and I explained that I didn't know how tall they were but that I had told the a two car door, and a single car door. He complained that he would have to open more roller packages because they normally come in packs of ten but I needed 12 for each door because of the height. He then went to work on the doors. He was very fast and finished in a relatively short time, but he accomplished this by bending back a portion of the track with pliers and then using the opening to remove the old roller and install a new one. He then bent the track back into it;s original position. He repeated this process on both sides of both doors.While he was fast, and the track works during the opening and closing of the door, I now have a permanently damaged garage door track on both sides of both doors. I would have preferred that the serviceman come to the front door to let me know he was there, and that he use a different method of roller replacement.

It went real well. I was satisfied with the way they did it.

It seemed like the person that showed up did work for Overhead Door Company, I think he was a private contractor for a call center. I think that they should have been clearer on what the tune-up included. I ordered the tune-up and he was here for about five or 10 minutes. He checked the chains and told me that they needed to be replaced. I paid $40 for 10 minutes worth of work. I thought more would have been done. He was a nice guy.

The service from Austin's Choice Overhead Garage Door Company went very, very well. They were excellent. They fixed it in a very costly way. I personally think that he did more work than the cost was. I liked the professionalism, friendliness and politeness. He did go out of his way and it was night way. We didn't even know why our doors aren't opening and then someone told me that my whole garage door had come out of the wall but in a way that we didn't have to reconstruct. I would rate them all 'A's across the board.

It went well. They did a good job. There is one person that i recall he is was very friendly. He is very knowledgeable. If we have problems i will call him again.
