Description of Work: the company had been bought out by Terminex who made an appointment and never showed up. when I complained, they sent someone over when I was at work and gave me no notice of this at all. I simply found a "we missed you" notice taped to my door. nobody there had heard of the Angie's list Big Deal and every person with whom I spoke told me a different story. | |Angie's list compounded the problem by insisting that they refund my money to a bank account that had been closed. the money -- over $500 -- was lost in the electronic ether for about a week until my bank put a forensic specialist on it. throughout all this hassle with the money, Angie's list took no responsibility for their action -- that is, refunding the money to a cancelled debit card attached to a closed bank account even though I explained my situation to them (my wallet had been stolen, causing me to cancel all cards and open a new bank account). it doesn't matter what your policy is, there are times when an exception is necessary.

Description of Work: The chimney sweeping service was fast and professional. At the end of the service they provided me with a coupon for a reduced rate on having my ducts cleaned. I definitely plan to use them in the future.

Description of Work: The guys onsite were good. The administration (phone calls to set an appointment up) were mediocre at best. They did not communicate that they would only patch up three small holes for the deal. They did patch a few extra holes, but wanted another $150 to patch up a larger hole (6" diameter).

The company providing services in Austin is represented by only one person, total. Company is out of Houston we were told. | |Do not really know if it worked or not in that we did not spend much time in the treated area because of mist and light rain after the treatment.

Description of Work: We have been using Nature's Own in Austin for quarterly pest control for at least a year now. They are a fantastic value and work with me to avoid out garden areas. We only treat the outside of our house but this has helped with inside as well- I very rarely see any bugs in the house. |We also used them to trap squirrels that got in our attic and seal up the holes- very responsive, affordable and effective.

Description of Work: Once I purchased the inspection on Angie's list, they were difficult to get a hold of. The number provided on the receipt was not the correct number, having to leave a message for someone to return my call. When trying to make an appointment, the person was not very knowledgable. I also thought an inspection was supposed to be made and was not.
