Konrad was fantastic leading up to and during the job. He answered phone immediately upon first call and came to house soon afterward. During first meeting and subsequent meetings, he was punctual, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He provided a detailed quote for both interior and exterior paint. The price was very reasonable compared to other quotes. He was also present most of the time during the actual job. Contracting was easy: two payments (1/2 down to contract and 1/2 due upon completion). Crew, led by Romero (I believe that is the correct spelling), showed up promptly on job start date. Moved all items out of way and replaced when job was done. Every, and I mean every, possible space that could have been caulked was caulked. Quality paint from Kelly Moore used was professionally applied and looks great. Clean up was never an issue as the crew worked very efficiently and cleanly. They did clean up when job was done and left very little evidence that they were there. I don't think I had a single plant damaged in my front beds! Turned my neighbor onto Konrad and MTZ. MTZ just painted his house as well and it looks great. I spoke with my neighbor when his job was done and he too is pleased. Give Konrad a call. I don't think you will be disappointed. PS. If I weren't so cheap, I wouldn't hesitate to hire MTZ paint my interior now. I am going to start the job myself but probably won't finish. When I get sick of spending my free time working, I will pry open my wallet and get MTZ to finish the job.

Konrad, the project manager was professional and courteous. He gave me a fair estimate and an earlier start date than I anticipated. The crews arrived promptly and worked efficiently. They cleaned up everything and returned furniture to the right places. I added an extra job while they were here and they gave me a great price and did a terrific job. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Everything was great from initial contact to completion of the job. We will certainly recommend him and use him ahgain if needed.

As I stated above, the project was superb from start to finish

I bought a home with some ugly purple and teal walls in the kitchen. Barney the Dinosaur(TM) purple. Konrad came to give an estimate for this work and some other rooms where the previous owners had bad judgement. While I only decided to get the kitchen repainted, Konrad was very helpful in giving me tips about taking care of the other rooms on my own. The painters were very punctual and did an excellent job with the painting. There was no mess and no paint on anything that wasn't supposed to be painted. They were able to accommodate a last-minute addition to the work with an appropriate increase in price and were able to match the other walls' color perfectly.

Work began promptly as scheduled on 12/01/2009. The project was delayed a couple of times by thunderstorms streaming into the area over the next three weeks, but Konrad always kept us updated on the schedule, and work progressed as rapidly as possible without undue risk of exposure to either the areas being repaired or to the new paint job. After powerwashing, more rot damage was exposed than was anticipated, but Konrad informed us of the situation immediately and advised us promptly of the extra charges (which were very reasonable) that would be necessary for them to complete the additional repairs. Konrad and all of the workers were most courteous and considerate throughout the project. At our request, they even repainted a bench on our front porch to match the new house colors (at no additional charge). They promptly removed all debris, including tree branches that were removed due to intrusion onto the roof and chimney area, and they performed a thorough cleanup after the project was completed. We especially appreciated Konrad's counsel and advice regarding rot repairs, which ultimately included extensive replacement of exterior panels, gables, soffits and trim, but they were able to satisfactorily patch and repair other visibly damaged areas without significant wood replacement. We were extremely pleased with the finished product and the total price, and we absolutely intend to call upon MTZ again for interior painting and repairs that we plan to undertake in the near future.

The job was done in a single day even though the MBR walls and ceiling were different colors. I originally asked for one color in the LR/DR and to only do the walls, but on the Friday before they were scheduled to come in I asked if they could do different colors in the LR and DR and include the ceilings. They were able to make the change with a very reasonable price increase and were there promptly Monday morning to get started. The paint looks great, with even color and clean transitions from one color to another along the boundaries. Only a few nearly unnoticeable drips onto the baseboards, and I wouldn't have noticed them if I hadn't gotten low to the ground. Also, in the master closet they painted the wall surfaces around and under the linen shelves that the builders painters missed the first three times they did the base paint during construction.

Konrad was excellent , called me right back after first phone call and set up estimate date worked with my schedule. Estimate was very reasonable for work done especially in kitchen. Used paint I wanted to use . Promised to be done in about 2-3 days and they were. Painters prompt and personable and polite. Cleaned up at end of all three days and left place clean. Referred my mother in law to them, and will definitely use them again

MTZ was one of several bids I request to have the exterior of our house painted. The dollar figure was competitive with the other bids I received but the MTZ bid was more inclusive, more value for the dollar amount. The bid was very specific regarding the work to be performed and MTZ performed exactly to the bid... from power washing to caulking, to priming to the finish coat. In actualilaty MTZ over performed when power washing… they removed moss on the stone on the back of the house and cleaned a 12’ by 12’ wood deck that abuts the stone they cleaned. The crew was pleasant, cleaned up at day’s end and was very professional. I would not hesitate to use MTZ on a future painting project.

This was a great experience over-all and I would not hesitate to hire them again and refer them to friends. The professionalism from start to finish was very impressive. In fact, I have already referred a few friends their way. They returned our call almost immediately and came out the same day to provide a detailed, written estimate. They were able to schedule the work right away. After some past bad experiences we were a little concerned about the project being completed on time, but I needn't have worried. The team showed up at 8am as promised and got to work immediately. They moved quickly and efficiently -- I didn't see anybody sit down or take a break until the job was done save for a quick lunch break mid-day. They knew exactly what to do and they were focused on getting the job done right. I was really impressed with the results. The design of our place is modern/industrial and we were painting boldly colored accent walls that met up with stark white, so we needed clean, straight lines. They did not disappoint!

Contacted MTZ based on the rave reviews here, Konrad was very helpful and was able to come out quickly to give me an estimate. He came out on a Friday and the crew was here Monday to do the work. The crew did an excellent job painting, including cleaning up the mess I'd made of it in several places. Price was more than I was hoping for but they didn't more than I was hoping for too, so I guess that makes it a wash. Outstanding job and I wouldn't bother calling anyone else.

Konrad and crew delivered yet another fine performance. We confronted MTZ with a rather sudden, very narrow window of opportunity for a small job and they worked us in with no problem. Every project's dream: fast, professional, clean, reasonable and friendly. I can't speak highly enough of these guys!

The MTZ team of painters (5) arrived on time and completed the job in record time (2 days). The team supervisor returned several days later to review the work, make any necessary spot repairs to the painted surfaces and replace the electrical covers. The MTZ project coordinator (Konrad) continually stayed in touch with me to assure all was to my satisfaction. A great job overall, and superb customer service.

From the beginning MTZ was a fantastic partner to work with. They were very helpful during the bidding process and stayed in touch to ensure we had all our questions answered before we even selected them. Once we chose them, they were very professional in their work....showed up on time every day and worked late every night to get the job done. We encountered quite a bit more work along they way and they were very up front in helping us get the additional work done while minimizing the cost. The work was exceptional, they really took their time to do things right. The jobsite was left spotless and the entire crew was very polite to us while they were at our home. They also don't have different "crews" that they drop off at your house...Knorad and Ramerio are they ones at your house doing the work. They were also very good about making sure we were satisfied along the way, always telling us that we should call if we needed anything addressed. Overall it was a great experience and I have already referred MTZ to several friends.

This is the review I left on Yelp.com: Do you hate calling contractors? I sure do. They rarely return my initial calls, are missing several aspects of professionalism or act like they have better things to do. This time I lucked out. I found MTZ Painting and Drywall on Angie's List where they were highly rated and saw that they were based in my neighborhood. Given my past experiences, I thought that would at least get them to call me back since they wouldn't have to travel far for work. So I rang up the number and, get this-- a polite human answered the phone. I didn't have to leave a message only to have it ignored. I was beyond thrilled and off to a good start. But wait--it only gets better. Konrad, the project manager, proceeded to talk to me about the interior and exterior work I needed done. We made an appointment for him to come over and take a look around the house for that **same day**. Not the next week. Not some vague arrival time frame. The dude showed up when he said he would. On a white horse, I think it was. He was my knight in paint-spattered clothing. He took a look around the inside and said "Yes, we can do this." Took a look around the outside and said something to the effect of "Yes, we can make your crack house look all shiny again." I signed on and his crew showed up the following Monday and stayed for three days. They were very respectful of our home, taking great care to do the important prep work and cleaning up after they were done. Communication was key the whole way through the process. I was never left hanging. I am so happy with the work they've done that I keep driving by my house twice on the way home. Oh wait, is this MY beautiful house?! Need some painting or drywall work done at your house? Give them a call and ask for The Dude. Or Konrad...for short.

They answered the phone promptly when I called; they arrived on time for the estimate; they emailed a itemized estimate promptly; they showed up on time and finished on time; they made sure I was happy with the work and did any little touch-ups right on the spot. Overall they were very easy to work with, the quality of their work was great, and all at a good price.

I have used MTZ before for an interior paint job so I did not hesitate to call and request a quote from them. They powerwashed the exterior and painted the following day and all together the job took two days. They did an EXCELLENT job. I asked the owner to use his own good judgment and select the colors that he thought would look the best and his choices were much better than mine would have been. Their attention to detail was great and they were in and out when they said they would be. I would not think of hiring anyone else to do any painting for me. I trust Konrad and his crew completely.

They showed up on time and responded quickly to getting the job done right away. I thought the price was a bit high, but I got two similar-priced estimates-and they did great work and did it really fast!

The whole experience was very satisfying and the work was excellent. They were very helpful (and patient) with choosing a paint color and painted some samples on the wall for us. We had changed our mind about bull-nosing a built-in shelf and they came back on Saturday to change it after they had already done it the other way. We had some other small extras that we asked them for and they were happy to comply. (Yes, they charged us for the extra time which was very resonable and fair). They were like artists with the tape and floating. Very meticulous. We had some sheetrock that we didn't put up very well (too much spacing inbetween) but they made it look so nice that you couldn't tell. One of the things I really liked about them besides their great work is that they really care about making sure you are happy with the work they do. We checked their work each day (it took 3-4 days, with the rain taking things longer to dry) and on the second to last day we asked them to re-texture an area that we thought didn't match as well as the rest on the LR celing. They had no problem with it and red-did to our liking the next day (no charge, no sighs). They are a very nice crew, a family business, and it shows. They seem to take pride in their work which is hard to find these days. They were very good about laying out tarps and not getting paint on anything. They cleaned up very well afterwards. Overall, we were very happy with them, their work, their pricing, and their attitude. No doubt that we will use them again and reccommend them to others.

They did an excellent job. They were friendly, professional and better than I expected. Conrad, the project manager was so efficient and helpful.

We are pleased with the outcome. The walls do not show any seams. The color is consistent throughout. They left no mess! The cleaned-up, finished job was a dream. And, the price was great. I would not use anyone else and have directed my friends to them.

The entire experience was great. I had another bid from a well known, high end company who quoted me double of what Konrad quoted. I had used this other company before so I knew they were great and I was tempted to stick with what I knew, since I have had bad experience with paint contractors in the past. But when someone quotes half, it's hard not to go with them. Konrad is a very nice man and came over quickly to give me an on site bid. They were able to begin the following Monday and he said it would probably take 2 days to complete the job. They arrived very early in the morning on Monday(which I loved)and got right to work. One of the job supervisors, whom I cannot remember his name, was very helpful because I was indecisive about putting which colors where. He definitely knew what he was talking about and gave me some really great ideas that I would not have come up with on my own. They taped and covered every square inch of my house so as not to get paint on anything. They worked SO quickly, yet meticulously. I cannot believe that they completed the job that same day. They cleaned up everything and when they left at 6pm. Other than the fact that my walls and ceilings were a different color and the house smelled like paint, one would have never known that just an hour prior, my house looked like a construction zone. I am very pleased with this company and will use them again. I just love my new colors! One more thing, I really liked that they let me use my preferred paint company.

I bought a rental house that I planned to rent to my daughter and it had been owned and lived in by many, many smokers. The smell was overwhelming! MTZ painted the entire interior including pantries, closets and the ceiling with KILZ paint and did an excellent job. I had another bid from a company who argued with me about my color choices and their bid was almost half again as much and did not include the KILZ primer. I was totally pleased with the work and will hire them to paint the exterior of the same house this spring. I cannot imagine entertaining bids from any other painting contractor while MTZ is around. They were prompt and courteous, the crew cleaned up after themselves and they finished before the estimated completion date. They are the best!

Let me set the scene, we were doing a huge remodel during Christmas this year(new kitchen, master and half bath, and laundry), with a sick 7 mo old baby, my mother-in-law in for the holidays (a solid month), one bathroom and both my husband and I working full time if not home taking care of the sick kid.We had a contractor from heaven and didn't think that his crew could even come close to being matched as far a professionalism and quality of work. Well, they were and maybe even a little surpassed. I heard about thses guys from a friend he said good things about them and their price is always right. Now, my husband and I have painted whole houses before and know what the process is and how much things should cost. We were really temped to do it ourselves but again with everything that was going on we just wanted it done and done fast. So, I gave them a call to come give me an estamate. They arrived at 8am on the dot. I showed them the paint that I was considering and they gave me some good guidance on how the paint was actually going to look (thank God because my choice would have been too dark). We were having some tiling done (those guys were a pain in the you know what...terrible crew) and they were behind in their work. The paint guys bent over backwards to work with the goofball tile crew to make sure that they wouldn't get in their way or slow them down in any way but could still finish their job on time. The paint guys showed up exactly at 8 am on the dot. Covered all the furniture (everyday!). They went and got several test paint samples until I found the right one. They patched a hole in the wall that the electrician made (it was so good you had no idea where it was). Made sure that the nap patern on the flat walls was ok or gave me the option to have them spray the walls (I couldn't even tell that there was any nap texture). They sprayed all the doors and hung them. They cut all their lines by hand. I had them make some minor changes on where the paint line stopped and they did that, no problem. They cleaned up EVERYTHING EVERY DAY they left no mess, no trash. They even showed up on the weekend to finish the job because again the goofball tile guys were hanging out and not getting things done and put everyone behind. The paint guys even apologied that they weren't able to finish sooner (even though it was the tile crews fault). They even came back a week later at our convinence to touch up a few minor fine touches we saw. They were aweseome. I'm confident that you will love them too. Having dealt with many a contractor, these guys are one in a million.
