M&M Roofing, Siding & Windows

I hired them to check the leak on the front side of the house. Everything went well and quick.

They scheduled an appointment with me for Monday at noon, but nobody showed up or called to notify me of a cancellation. Consequently, my impression of M&M is that they are unprofessional. I do not wish to do business with a company that is not considerate of my time and cannot keep their appointments.

Chris came by to look at some issues we were having with our chimney. He was honest that M&M were not the best contractor for the job (too small of a project for them) and pointed me to a vendor he recommended.

All work was done in time frame promised. Workers were professional and cleaned up each day after work was completed.

The think the overall product was amazing.they did scratch the crap out of a lot of the surface and they had to come out and paint that before I would pay them.

From start to finish which was only about 3 days, everything went flawlessly. I worked with the San Antonio location and dealt with Todd and he sent out his roof foreman Fred. Fred diagnosed the problem and I had a quote from Todd immediately. The price was very reasonable and they immediately scheduled the repair for Saturday before the horrible rain storm. I am extremely happy to report the repair fixed the problem and I am now in the process of having additional work done. I would highly recommend Todd and Fred.

Great!! Renato, the lead installer is the man! Audie coordinated everything perfectly. Terrific workmanship and attention to detail. The president of the company contacted us after the work was done to thank us for business and make sure we were satisfied with the job. Great job, established company. I highly recommend M&M.

The crew arrived a day early without notice, which was a little inconvenient because of other work I was having done at the time, but they were hard-working and professional and did a good job. I did have to call them back to remove nails that were left behind. I was unable to impress upon the foreman the importance of giving me advance notice but overall I would consider them again if I needed additional work done.

My wife and I were the general contractors in building our house in Wimberley Texas. Finding good and reliable trades was challenging. M&M Roofing, Siding and Windows were very nice to work with. Their work was outstanding and very fast. I would highly recommend their services. They work and materials are very good.

Excellent from beginning to end. First off, I had contacted several vendors for estimates knowing that the roof was old and in need of replacement. Audie was the only one (out of four vendors) who noticed that the roof also had hail damage from the storms earlier in the year and suggested I contact my insurance company. This alone saved me much of the out of pocket expense that I was prepared to pay. The quote for services was detailed and broke out the roof replacement, required carpentry work, and the costs for replacing the gutters. The roof replacement was done in a day, including the repair work, and the gutters were done as soon as the materials arrived (about a week later). Audie was great to work with, met with me on my schedule, and was a great help in getting the documentation my insurance company wanted. I highly recommend their services. Insurance settlement aside, their quote was the same or lower than other vendors and they pointed out repair and attic vending options that the other companies either missing or did not offer. Great job, guys.

As part of the new roof package M&M said they would install a fan. We bought an Attic Breeze solar fan from M&M directly so there would not be any finger pointing if there were issues. During the heavy rains in Oct 2015 we had water coming into our house, stained our ceiling, made cracks in the drywall and door frame and left a puddle of water on the flooring. M&M said they would replace the fan with passive vents but we would have to eat the cost of the fan, $848. We are not even asking for the reimbursements of damages that has occurred to the house. We have since found the fan leaks during light rains also. But that is a moot point, M&M agrees the fan needs to be replaced but for some reason they think we are responsible for paying for this leaky fan. They wanted us to contact Attic Breeze directly but Attic Breeze said it is M&M's responsibility since they sold us the fan. It has been a nightmare of phone calls, emails and finger pointing. We have also had some other issues with the roof and M&M has come back out to fix these issues. But why did I find all the issues like nails that were not hammered down correctly, caulking and foam that was missing and the M&M inspector did not? I discovered that they did not install about 30% of the drip edge because it was under the gutter. M&M blamed it on the installer (which is a subcontractor?). I believe M&M should have found this oversight during the inspection, not the homeowner. The problem now is that it is much harder to install drip edge after the shingles are down because you run the risk of breaking them as they have to be lifted up to take the old nails and drip edge out and re-nail the new drip edge. M&M has only proposed to reimburse us for the price to put on drip edge before the new roof is installed, not the more expensive option they have now created. We will work on resolving this after the fan issue is resolved. What a nightmare.

The whole experience of working with M&M was excellent. They were very responsive, professional, and spent the time I needed to understand the details and options. The crew seems to have done an excellent quality job and cleaned up well afterwards. The price was very competitive and M&M didn't expect any payment until after the job was satisfactorily complete, which I thought was a nice touch. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

The roofing job itself was very good and the price was reasonable, but they failed to seal and skylight properly and now we have water dripping into our bathroom when there is a heavy rain. My wife said water drop had hit her on the head when she walked into the bathroom. In the front, the fascia trim is sticking out because it was the rafters were never trimmed back to allow a good fit. In the back, the flashing is coming away from the fireplace chimney and 3 inches of drip edge are missing. I wanted to be home when they installed it, but they showed up unannounced and were driving off just as I got home from work. I left M&M voice messages about the leak and they never returned my call. What we have here is a failure to communicate. This might be the way they do it in Houston, but this is Austin.

We never got to the starting blocks. I wasted a lot of my own time trying to give them my business.

Met with Chris Traweek and got his bid and he came back a second time to answer questions, very patient man, always yessir or nosir, momma brought that one up good. The crew started around 9am, worked hard and in the hot sun. The work was good quality, Chris was very responsive before and during the install. Couple of times I had to call him while the job was in progress and he was johnny on the spot returning my call/text. There were a couple of very minor issues which Chris offered to remedy, but nothing of any importance. Their bid was the best and materials were in line with 3 other bids, same type material, quantities, etc, but their bid was the lowest. I was very happy with this company and would recommend them and use them again.

M&M Siding and Roofing Co.’s hallmarks are integrity, reasonable prices and high standards for materials and workmanship. For the bid, Project Manager, Chris T. came to assess our needs for new windows, siding repairs and exterior painting. He actively listened to our goals and gave options with their pros and cons. He is very knowledgeable and professional - he turned off his phone during our meeting. Chris was personable, courteous and extremely patient in answering endless questions. There was no hard sell. A complete estimate arrived in 1 day. Notably, the company offers a discount for cash payment. Better still, no payment is due until all work is completed to the homeowner’s satisfaction. It was nice to have an Angie’s coupon worth $250.00 deducted. Chris was a frequent visitor to the worksite, and was available 24/7 if a question came up. He expertly coordinated schedules at several worksites, most needing more than 1 crew, while considering the homeowners’ needs. All crews arrived on time, fully staffed and equipped. They were friendly and courteous while working efficiently and quietly. The siding and painting crews had each worked together for several years, and were like well-oiled machines (ask for Manuel and Liberio, respectively). There was close attention to every detail, from arrival to cleanup. During the work there were no ‘surprises’ or add-ons that inflated the original estimate. High grades all around go to Chris and M&M Siding & Roofing.

Epic customer failure. They promised to give me an estimate in a week. after I received the estimate I tried to call the company on several times to setup an installation time without any success. They wasted my time. They are only concern with big profit jobs.

I initially thought that the final result was good; however, I now have a complaint that has changed my first impression, and I'd like for M&M to address it. M&M's warranty states: M&M warrants all labor in connection with the roof replacement on your house for the lifetime of the job (the "warranty period"). With the recent heavy rains in San Antonio, we had water coming through the roof in one room. I have called M&M three times now within a period of several weeks, but have yet to receive ONE call or visit from the project manager. It is my personal opinion that M&M in San Antonio is understaffed and that the project manager may be overloaded. However, I am not excusing him or the company for neglecting our property after all the promises that were made in order to win our trust and contract. Their lack of attention to a warrantee and previous customer is completely unprofessional ! Update - June 29, 2015 I have been contacted by Doug Moncure who has been very responsive to our problem. M&M sent out a repairman to assess the situation and he has, hopefully, corrected it. We are waiting and watching, as per M&M's request, to see if the problem is now resolved. We need a few more rains to fully assess the repairs. We are happy with what has been done so far.

M&M was very responsive and kept me up to date. They showed up on time and completed the work with care.

It went well. Not very organized on the scheduling side but the job was done on time and without issues.

The service was excellent. Luke was not only the most affordable of the 3 quotes we received he was the most like able. He is not a salesman he is the project manager/general contractor so when you deal with him you are not getting salesman promises. The work was done as expected anytime there was any issue he always solved it quickly and without hassle. He made honest recommendations to us and we were able to purchase doors for them to install which was more affordable. We would recommend him and all of his crew strongly. I forget the name of the roofing guys as they were only there a few days but Sam and Joey were absolutely wonderful they did the siding, windows and doors and were fantastic. Our house looks beautiful now on the outside.

The first contract was replace vandalized broken windows, the insurance company was paying the cost. I paid extra to have them change a bay window into a sliding glass door and to add stone steps installed. My original oversized sliding glass door was a Pella, it looked and operated like a quality door with beautiful hardware and special glass that let no heat in even the hottest days. No heat came through that door at all; I used to work in that room all year long with curtains open. They suggested identical doors, but made locally in San Antonio. Texas made so less expensive. Promised they would be so identical I would never see the difference. HUGE difference, they are not even close. Heat transfer is significant even after installing ugly solar screen doors. Latches are cheap and don't allows lock, frames were scratched and continue to age quickly. I wish I had my Pellas back. I talked to their reps, manager, even the owners, with no resolution. All I got was pitches to let them replace my roof at higher rates than competitors. They built steps along the back wall of house leading out to the pool. The steps were not sealed well and they used construction debris to fill the space under the stone. It's now a breeding ground for Black Widow spiders, scorpions and snakes. Orange construction sand seeps out after every rain. They used scrape stones instead of the ones I ordered from local quarry and the mortar began to crack a week after I paid. I'm now told the stairs are not good for my house because they block water by the foundation. As a single female I relied on their construction expertise to correctly install steps that would not later damage my home. The steps are better than nothing, but for the money I paid I should have better workmanship. The workers left the back of my home exposed to the elements while working on another project. Then due to bad weather could not complete the project the next day. They had to remove the wet insulation and had to redo parts of back wall damaged by the rain. They were booked on another project several days and the white paper covering the exposed wall blew loose in a rain storm. Two years later I still get a moldy smell in my home that no one can identify or remove. I gave up trying to fix or find solutions and learned to live with it. My condo and my home values will reflect the poor workmanship when the time comes to sell. Unfortunately all I can do about it now is write this warning to others- pass on this big company with fancy fliersfilled with warranties and promises of guaranteed satisfaction. This company's expertise is in making first class profits providing 3rd class workmanship, while politely telling you that's the best they can do and apologizing for circumstances totally within their control. I should have refused to pay, but the job as done and I wrote the check. They listened to my complaints and concerns, agreed it was very poor work. Said it wasn't their usual contractors (?); and nothing could be done to fix it. They did offer to redo the entire project, at their current higher labor rate. No explanation for rate increase. I was told when I first hired them I was paying for quality workmanship, bonded and insured, etc. - that's why they were not the lowest of the 4 companies who bid the project and well worth the extra cost. Their offer was for me to pay retail costs for new Pella windows & sliding glass doors, pay their new higher labor rate to install correctly and they would wave the costs removing the crappy work product I had just paid them for......AND I could pay their finance company to let me make monthly payments to make it easier to pay for the project a second time- all with the same quality workmanship and satisfaction guaranties that applied to their first contract. They made no offer to reinstall the 3 windows in my condo. The agreed they were very uneven, and frames didn't match "but didn't look that bad for a rental". One of the windows had a rotted frame they claimed to have fixed. Less than a year later I found out their was a huge water damage issue going on that the contractors would have seen but apparently didn't feel it was worth mentioning to me; not their problem (?). They replaced the rotted frame into in already rotted wall, covered it up with caulk and called it repaired. While writing this I realize I am to blame for being so stupid. I actually paid this company to reduce my property values.

Did a great job. Gave good estimate. Job was done in reasonable amount of time (even with weather and holiday delays.) Was responsive to questions and concerns.

I had a great experience working with M & M Roofing, if your looking for professional, knowledgeable and the best value for your dollar save yourself some time and money and work with M & M Roofing. Below is my experience and justification for my recommendation. With three quotes accepted for performing roof work there price was in line with the top two. What won me over in my decision to move forward with them was two fold. First Audie, the individual that worked with me throughout the process, was timely in providing a quote within the requested time frame without need for prompting ( I had to remind another company that I needed the quotes and had not received them ). Secondly Audie was extreemly professional over the phone and patient as he walked me through the process and expectations of what was to happen as the work would be done. Thanks Audie!
