This was for an rental house. I was satisfied with the work. Everything went well, from what my tenant told me. The only problem I had is, that they don't work past 3:30, which is an hard time to schedule for.

We bought the Deal from Angie's list for 169.00 for 2 hours of electrical work. We decided to buy the deal because we were not sure that replacing the breaker switch was all that was needed. It turned out that the breaker switch was the only problem and it was replaced by Jeff from Malco Electric. The time left after replacing the breaker was taken up by replacing a bathroom light fixture. We had purchased a breaker switch from Home Depot prior to the appointment but the old bathroom light fixture did not have a box in the wall to attach to so we payed 10.00 for one supplied by Malco Electric. The work was done as scheduled, we are very happy with the work done, and we would use Malco Electric again if necessary.

I had no idea how long these things would all take, so we scheduled an initial two hour appointment. Jeff was great, efficient, on time, and did good work. 2 hours wasn't nearly enough time to do all of the things that I needed, so I will be calling and scheduling another block of time!

This was a big deal purchase. It was good. We did work with them. They were pretty good overall. To do better they could have cleaned up after they did the work -- even after a warning. Their work was good overall.

They came on time. Were very professional and got the work done within the two hours allotted.

This office is open from 7 am to 3 pm, so it took a couple of tries to get the appointment scheduled. I got it scheduled for 10:30 am. On the day of the appointment, I received a call at 7 am, which woke me up, asking if they could move the appointment up immediately. After talking it through, we decided that they'd come out between 8:30 and 9 am. The electrician showed up at 9:30. I showed him the fan and room where I wanted it installed, which was fine as there had been a fan previously in that location. It took about 45 minutes to install, then he wanted me to sign the invoice since he was finished, so I investigated first and found that the fan wobbled terribly on higher speeds. When I asked why he hadn't balanced it, he said that wasn't included in my deal. He offered to take care of it, but informed me that would be another hour of labor for which I'd be charged $96. After some back and forth, which included my telling him that I'd include this in my Angie's List review, he called the office and was told to go ahead and balance it for me. He spent another 10 minutes or so and balanced it, more or less, then left. It's definitely not as wobbly as it was at first, but it's still not 100% smoothly balanced. But it is ok enough that I can live with it.

Malco was extremely fast to call me and get a tech out to fix the issue. The technician was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend using this company.

Went great! I scheduled the Angie's deal of $144 for 2 hours (labor). There was a little disconnect because Angie's list did not explain the "deal" was for the Austin area only and there was an extra trip charge for them to go to Round Rock. Also they had forgotten to get my phone #, but I called to check after realizing they were past the promised call time to schedule me. They were very apologetic and already had their guy in the area to assist. I think the electrician's name was Tim (tall guy) and he was great. Explained everything and was super efficient and knowledgeable. I can't believe he did everything in under 2 hours. All in all was a great experience and will definitely use them again for any future electrical issues.

They never scheduled a time and they never came. I have not called Angie’s List about it because I just figured that probably from this time of year that he was doing a lot of house building and working. What I need is not that critical so I will just wait until things slow down. I have been in contact with him and I said that I trust he would set some dates. I do not have a problem with it. The Deal is a very good price. Their responsiveness was not very good. I called them once and they answered me once. They did call me back a day after I bought the Deal, but I have not heard from them since.

I asked for Jeff, who is great, but they sent Lem who did not have the can do attitude that I would expect and had experienced the last time I used Malco. Right away told me my fan was problematic and he would need to call the manufacturer. Turned out it was the switch. Then was not too happy about replacing the light fixture since it was hard to get to. Then he forgot half way through to exchange switch position and told me oh I forgot about it. Then he Left everything a mess and didnt even make an attempt to clean up. Would hire Malco again but not Lem

I honestly can't say enough good things about them. Everything from contacting me promptly (professionally and extreme nice) to schedule my appointment to being there when they said they would (they are very good about the scheduling windows) to the service provider and ultimately the service. I have never had a better experience from any other service provider ever!

Overall, I am quite pleased with Malco Electric. Lem, the electrician, was professional and efficient. He worked with a purpose, planned accordingly, and his workmanship/attention to detail was great.

They did an excellent job on the garage lights , they were so helpful with anything I needed .

Excellent service and reasonable pricing. The guys at Malco really went the extra mile and didn't make us feel like we were being nickel and dimed.

The technician called before coming out and was very punctual arriving at the house. He went right to work and had everything finished within the time frame. Everything works fine and I am please with the service.

It took the man two hours to look for the problem for the two outlets, and said it would take him another 7-8 hours to find out what the problem was. Per home inspection, there was one outlet in the back that didnt work. He didnt fix it because he was not sure of what the problem was with the two outlets. He said the list on the report was "unnecessary repairs". He also left a ladder in our house and asked to get it back the next day. He also texted if he left some tools inside of the house couple days later. We decided to call our home warranty and had someone come over two days later and he fixed the problem in 10 minutes. A loose switch in the bedroom. It cost us only 60.00. I would not recommend this company. If we stayed with Malco, we would probably be stuck with 1,000.00 bill for 7-8 hours of service. We lost 245.00 with Malco for "no service".

I can't remember the electricians name off hand, but he was very professional. He was able to get the job done fast with minimal electrical disruption.

I can't say enough good things about Malco Electric. I'm remodeling a cabin with all sorts of issues that needed correcting. Malco took on a tough job that others wouldn't touch, and they did it with a professional attitude, top notch work, and a fair price. If you're looking for an electric contractor with a proven record and customer service skills, look no further. These guys will save you dollars and headaches. They care about the work they do for their customers and it shows.

I called because I thought I had a major lighting system issue. Turns out it was just a bad light switch. He replaced it quickly, but it was a slightly janky light switch (off was up not down). He asked if it was okay I thought it would be but the dimmer goes in the opposite right direction. The part was a bit expensive and now that I think about it, if I have to pay the mark up I wish it was perfect. I had paid for 2 hours of service so I had him install a GFCI outlet in the bathroom. He did it quickly with little dust and mess. I was able to repair easily the drywall hole (which he warned me would have to be cut to fish down the wire) because he cut it out in one neat piece. When I need more electrical work I will definitely call Malco.

The communication were great right from the start. The office person was very polite and helpful in scheduling and asking about the issue. The electrician was punctual, polite and professional. We talked through the issue and quickly traced the problem to a shorted out outlet. He replaced the outlet and checked that everything worked properly. This took about 45 minutes of the 2 hour Angie's Deal, but I didn't have any other electrical issues needing attention. Overall, I was very pleased with the service and would hire them again.

Lem was prompt, efficient and professional. He got a lot done in two hours and I would definitely hire Malco Electric again.

Another great experience with Malco Electric. They came out right on time. Chris showed up and asked what we needed to do and he proceeded to fix them. In 2 hours all the items were done and done right. Chris even called the next day to make sure everything was good. What more can you ask for.....on time, fix right and priced right. Yes, I would use them again and I plan to soon.
