Maidtopia Cleaning Services

We have not been happy with Maidtopia. In 7 months we were with them, there were a few items treated roughly (shelves knocked off wall; air conditioner vent knocked out of window; wall hangings accidentally knocked off multiple times); the cleaner was regularly late with a different excuse most visits (flat tire, traffic, behind a funeral procession, stuck in mud, held up by train, alarm didn’t go off, car trouble, road shut down, had to stop for cleaning supplies — these are literal excuses documented via texts); and cleaner often did not stay for three hours during purchased three hour cleanings (usually staying 1.5-2 hours, until I questioned what was happening). Cleaner did a lot of work overall and was very helpful getting our initially messy house cleaned up, so we stuck through some issues. The final straw for us was the cleaner not following instructions (cleaned a room clearly marked “do not clean” that has always been “off limits” for cleaning due to the room housing incredibly breakable/sentimental items). I recently lost my father, and her randomly dusting/cleaning/arranging things I had kept that were on his person at his death was heartbreaking. I would’ve put those things away if I had chosen to let her clean the office! It was overall way more work than it should have been to monitor and correct concerns. My recommendation is that it will be much easier to choose a different housekeeping service and hopefully avoid so many issues.

I have been using for so long, they did a very well job. price is reasonable and fair. They are just good and very professional.

I was gifted with a 3hr cleaning from my daughter with this company Maidtopia. When I called to make the appointment I specifically asked if I need to provide any cleaning agents for the person and I was told "no", that they provided everything needed. It also specifies the same in their website. When the young lady arrived all she had was a broom, a string mop, a bucket and a rag. That was it! I had to show her the vacuum cleaner & the dusting agents I set out for her to use when dusting. She never used the dusting items, she used her rag & rinsed over & over in the kitchen sink. I had to show her how to use the vacuum... or else she would not have vacuumed? She dusted the table top..not chairs or base. She dusted around things, never moving a thing. I emailed the website to let them know what an awful job she had done and that their end of the agreement of supplying everything needed to clean was NOT kept and the girl did not do a good job. Because I failed to reschedule within 48 hrs Maidtopia will not do a re-clean. They offered a discount for another clean. So, my complaint is / and I asked them this same thing -- "Why is it that their end of the agreement of supplying everything and sanctification guaranteed was not upheld YET because I didn't respond within 48 hrs... I am ignored?" So, my complaint is that this company does NOT provide in the way their advertisement indicates nor were they truthful for saying they would provide. So I am logging a complaint. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity.

The cleaning was great. They got there on time, reviewed the priority sheet, then got to work. The cleaning quality was really great, I just think she forgot some things, like window sills and baseboards and a few spots in the shower. Overall though, she did a lot in 3 hours and I would definitely hire her again.

I hired Maidtopia for 3 hours of housecleaning, and they did a great job. They showed a bit late (due to traffic) but went straight to work and did a thorough job of cleaning the entire house, including bathrooms and kitchen. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

We had three things brake over the time we used them. The first they compensated me, the second they made me pay and the third I stopped using them. The third time they were like its your fault, I said I disagreed and stopped using them.

I picked this company based on the A rating, however the services performed where not to that level. In short, the house was empty and we were not moving into the home for a few days after the cleaning was done. I gave them a copy of our key so the maid could get in and out herself. When I went by the house a few days later the floors, which are all tile, where still dirty. My children were playing on the floors while I moved in a few boxes and their feet looked like they were playing in dirt. The floors should have been mopped clean. There were other areas that may have just been dusted over or lightly wiped down, but that was not what I expected. My biggest concern was the handling of our house key. I had sick kids and wasn't able to make original arrangements to get the key from the maid directly before she left, so I told them to just have the maid lock up and we would stop by the office to get the key. When my husband went to the office the day after services were performed, the maid still had not returned the key. He had gone there about mid-day. They told him they would mail it to us. It's been a few weeks now and we still have not received the key, nor did we get a call that they found it. We changed the locks on the house shortly after we moved in so we are ok, but I would think twice about the professionalism and care for the security of their clients homes.

Amelia was early and got right to work. My showers have never looked so good. She did blinds, baseboards and regular cleaning, sweeping and mopping. She made the beds and emptied the trash. My house looks amazing !

I have been using the services of Maidtopia for over 2 years now and have had the same cleaning lady, Adela, for over a year. They have always been prompt and completely professional. Adela goes right to work and does a magnificent job of leaving my house spotless. I highly recommend their services.

They worked effeciently . I just find the language barrier hard to get past when I want to communicate with them. None of the ladies spoke English and I am very poor at Spanish.

The service itself is very professional and organized. The scheduling process is seamless. The cleaning is mediocre and overpriced as it comes out. Each time, the cleaning professional would stay no longer than 1.50 hours. This comes to about $50/hour. And the apartment was not clean when she left. I thought, well, maybe they need time to get used to the place. But each time was worse. They'd miss big things, like, not wiping down the table or plastic placemats. The floors were not clean. I guess she just threw the mop around some areas but never mopped under anything. She didn't vacuum, sweep, or mop under the kitchen table - which is on wheels btw. Totally easy to get under. The sink was not wiped out. Didn't wipe behind anything out on the counters - and honestly - there wasn't much on the counters. I'd still need to clean after they left. We do not have kids or pets. We have a service regularly every two weeks regardless. It shouldn't be hard. The last straw was visit 3. She stayed less than 1.5 hours. The first 45 minutes, she was in the guest bathroom (never, ever, ever used room. The bathroom had been cleaned 2 weeks before and probably hadn't been walked into again since) and she talked on the phone in there for about 30 minutes. Finally, after 30 minutes I heard some water running. It was pretty infuriating to pay and still have to clean after she left. I felt like she could have stayed 30 more minutes and at least wiped down the counters or maybe swept under the table. I really wouldn't recommend this service.

Service went very well, as always with Maidtopia.

They did an adequate job. They were just extremely difficult to work with in terms of scheduling and calendars. In a service industry, they failed in terms of timeliness of requests and accountability. It was almost like the contact was doing me a favor by cleaning my house even though the price was on the high side of average.

Maidtopia DOES NOT SECURE their clients' house keys. The cleaning ladies are nice enough and do a great job, but the management's practices regarding security border on just plain scary. I decided to discontinue service after a year, and asked that my key be mailed to me. Three weeks later, after seeing no key, I contacted them and was told they "just found it!" and it would be mailed. A few days later, A KEY arrived, but it was not mine--it belonged to another client! I contacted them again--now almost four weeks after discontinuing service--and was told it was "safe and secure all along" (already heard that). They sent the nice (non-English-speaking) lady who had regularly cleaned my home--on her own time and in her own car--with a random assortment of keys to try in my lock, until one worked. She also retrieved said mystery key belonging to some other unlucky schmuck. I'm surmising that perhaps they allow their maids to run around for a week or more with client house keys in tow, which makes them easily accessible to friends or relatives as well. I will add that I asked Maidtopia to reimburse me for the cost of rekeying my locks, since my keys were in play somewhere for almost a month. They agreed to do it on the date the locks were rekeyed, and now three weeks later, I have no refund for rekeying, and they are giving me the runaround again, saying that they need an invoice. When I threatened to contact the BBB if I didn't receive reimbursement by the end of the day, they didn't respond again at all. I hate to leave this review, but think of what can happen when strangers have the capability to enter your home at any time. Maidtopia doesn't even attempt to follow the security practices set out by larger cleaning companies, and I guess that saves them some time. Sadly, it seems they do not care about the safety of their clients, their homes, and their families.

The Sales Manager was easy to work with, accommodated my needs, and assured a great service. Overall, very pleased with the cleaning services (both move out and move in) and would use this provider again.

Not worth $70.00 ..you get what you pay for.

We had been happy with Maidtopia until the past couple of times we used them. The second last time the maid was late, but still left a little early. This past time we paid for 3 hours of cleaning services and the maid left after 2-1/2 hours. The quality of the work the past couple of times has suffered, as well. We are just going to a different home cleaning service to see if we can receive better quality and service.

I like the work, quite clean, although not super detail, but I don't expect that for just a 3-hr slot.

I contacted Maidtopia to provide housekeeping services after I became disappointed with the services of a prior provider. They were very responsive to my initial inquiry, contacting me by both email and phone to confirm the initial cleaning. I also had odd requirements for the monthly schedule, due to extensive travel, and they were very accommodating and flexible. They've cleaned my house three times, and have done an excellent job each time. Even a small snafu was resolved efficiently and cheerfully. I found that they had erroneously charged my credit card twice for one month's cleaning, but it was due to a simple clerical error (another client's name was very similar to mine) and as soon as I brought it to their attention, they credited my card and contacted me by email and by phone to confirm that the issue had been rectified and to apologize for the error. Fantastic customer service all around. Keep up the great work, Maidtopia!

It was ok. The lady that owned the business came out with another girl and the owner did a good job of cleaning but the other girl not so much.

Scheduling was a problem. They wrote down the wrong date in their computer, so I kept getting notices with the wrong date even though I had called to correct it. I was out of the country and thought I had this all arranged before I left. In the end, they came on the right date, but surely their computer-generated reminders could have been corrected. My house had been two months prior, and two of the bedrooms had not been used since then, so only the rest of the house needed to be cleaned. When I got home that evening, I noticed food spills on the range, felt grit on the countertops, and saw a water mark on the glass on the end table. I wish the cleaner had spent more time cleaning and less time making rosettes out of the Kleenex and toilet paper and fancy folds in the bath towels.
