Maid Brigade- Austin

I’ve debated leaving a review but I want others to be warned about the deceptive pricing. I got maid brigade to do a move out cleaning. I was quoted $60 per hour. I left my key and went to work then came back about 4 hours later. The next day, my credit card was charged $468. I called because there is no way anyone could have been there for over 7 hours. It was $60 per maid per hour. Apparently, there were several people there and I paid $180 for the first hour. I gave 2 stars because they did a great job and I know cleaning is difficult. But a 2 bedroom cleaning should not have been $468. When I called to discuss, he explained that it was per maid, but that is not what I was told when I got the quote. He said that was “the going rate”. But I called several companies and I went with Maid Brigade because it was the “cheapest”. I was moving out so I didn’t get to enjoy the cleaning. Be warned about deceptive pricing.

They did an excellent job cleaning my 700 sq.ft apartment within 2 hours. They brought all the equipment needed to do perfect cleaning like ladder to reach air vents and top shelves. Wiped down all the kitchen utilities, wiped off dust and cleaned my furniture. Apartment looks like new.

Very reasonable price and quality of service.

Three women spent most of their time talked by to each other. One spent the entire time talking on her cell phone. They mopped around area rugs and were hit or miss on the things that needed to be done. As for green cleaning, if that means pouring water on the floor, then they nailed it. They constantly asked if they had to do this or that and I pointed out to them that’s what the contract stated. Sheesh! The woman who appeared to be in charge was rude and lazy. On one positive note, Heather was a pleasure to deal with. Don’t waste your time. Whatever you pay them, you will be heavily overcharged because they do nothing. The picture below shows what used to be a men’s XL merino wool sweater from Banana Republic that was clearly marked do not wash. Yep, they washed it and now it won’t fit a three year old child

It's been very smooth. They worked with me. We schedule it if we need to get house clean. Always very efficient and very good price. They're the best I've used. Never had any issue.

It was great. I'm very satisfied with them.

They are very good responsive, when I bring up issues. Sometimes I have to remind of things. Perhaps that's a lack of communication on my part. I have used them for years and still use them, and I will continue to use them.

I was not very happy this past time. They arrived late which they called to tell me and tried to reschedule but I still had them come out. I ended up having to cancel something else I had that day because they were late.

This is not easy to answer. The crew that came did a pretty good job with a few minor exceptions--I found a few odd pieces of stuff here and there, the couch was vacuumed, but the cushions were not removed and underneath vacuumed, the trash can in my bathroom was not emptied, a small rug in the master bedroom was mopped around (not even sure they moved it to vacuum under it), the floor of the pantry was not swept and I found a some pet hair missed here and there. For the most part minor matters. Except this was supposed to be a deep clean for which I was charged 125 (it was supposed to be over 200 but they reduced the price to get my business(. What they didn't tell me was that it was not really going to be a deep clean) They were actually here less than my service in Richardson for which I paid 85 who would have done much better. The crew told me they were only scheduled for an hour and thirty minutes and a deep clean could take three to four hours. I really do not fault the crew, I am upset with the company and how I was misled.

They are reliable, thorough and efficient. They are always flexible when I need to change my schedule. My dogs like them which is a huge bonus. I absolutely love having them. I'm a working mom so they make my life so much easier.
