If you live out of town, do not think you can depend on this service to manage your Airbnb. Magic Helpers makes a lot of big promises about being a total Airbnb solution and the prices sound too good to be true, but that is because they are. The day before my first Airbnb turnover, they canceled, raised the quoted price, and then quit months of scheduled service. They sell the idea that you could look away and trust them to manage your turnovers but that is simply not true. Don't be tempted by a lowball offer like I was. Airbnb hosts cannot simply cancel on guests because their turnkey solution doesn't show up or quits and expect to stay in business. I am 2000 miles away and have no one to turn over my Airbnb tomorrow or for the several months I booked with them. They canceled the day before my first booking because snow was forecasted in Austin. They were linked to my Airbnb calendar and entrusted to automatically turn over my bookings but they only rescheduled the cleaning they canceled because I followed up on their cancellation. They rebooked me for the following day at a rate $30 more than the deep clean originally quoted. When I insisted that they honor the original quote, they told me that they would honor the quoted price for one cleaning but that they were quitting the turnkey service without notice. I can understand cancelling the first time based on inclement weather but I cannot understand how a service that claims to be a turnkey solution and has out of town customers that have prepared longterm calendars of Airbnb bookings dependent on their service can drop a customer without notice. Quitting service as a petty retaliation against a frustrated customer is fine for a cleaning service but has devastating consequences for remote property management. Once I posted this review, the owner canceled the postponed cleaning in retaliation. I am 2000 miles away and without any way to turn over my Airbnb tomorrow, but I thought it was important to communicate this experience to people who might depend on Airbnb income.
