I had to go to their place (half an hour away) to even discuss the bid. They sent a very high estimate, then later asked to come out to see the home where the work would be done. I explained that we had not yet moved in, and asked them to confirm the appointment time so I could meet them there. They were 90 minutes late, and did not communicate at all until after repeated texts and calls from me they confirmed that they were late. When they finally showed up, there was no apology or acknowledgement of my wasted time. One of the people actually acted like it was strange for me to be annoyed. Based on the visit they revised their estimate, but still included a lot of additional equipment and high labor costs. When we talked about scheduling options, they were vague, and flat out said "we have more business than we need." There was some discussion about their other clients, and they gave the firm implication that those clients' business was more important than mine. They indicated it would be several weeks before they would do the work, but didn't seem too interested in close to $20k of business, so I ended up going elsewhere. In the end I found a much more professional provider, and got exactly the same result for a fraction of the cost.
