Longoria Moving

It was about $1,600. They could improve on their pricing. They were very quick in getting back to me and explained what they were capable of doing and how certain things would cost extra. So, very good explaining!

It was great. They did a great job. I would use them again.

A complete disaster that should result in litigation if not for the hassle and us only wanting to be done with the whole ordeal. The Quote person (wife of the Owner and lead mover) was incredibly gracious and prompt. This should have been a warning of things to come. The pre-inspection was uneventful although there was additional dialogue as to a 400 pound solid cherry Executive desk that would be difficult to move. I took their suggestion of trying to make it lighter by removing the top piece and anything else designed to come off. Not a single word was said as to the State mandated maximum coverage would be limited to $240 if damaged, Longoria only offered $189 in the settlement as they felt the weight was misstated and the piece contained some "particle board". Nothing was weighed by their crew I assure you. The retail of the desk was over $4,000 ten years ago. There had been no offer of additional insurance which would be a good idea (this fact is contested). I should have realized Longoria in my opinion were apartment movers and not home movers. There was no discussion that we had an additional five items of similar quality although they were easy to move (some were scratched however). Needless to say the desk was dropped, broken in multiple places including the spine, all which was documented by photograph before and after. The settlement was exactly as State mandated. Other pieces of furniture were scratched beyond what even one would expect moving from one home to another. The second great area of contention was the four boxes of fine china that were dropped or crushed, only Longoria knows. We had declined the movers offer of packing them and did a far superior job ourselves. What we had not thought of was by our declining vendor packing provided Longoria Carte Blanche as to how they could handle these pieces. Photographs again available of complete destruction beyond repair. We were "quoted" in the certified letter they sent without a call that we said they were inadequately packed. Obviously an out of context statement. We were were offered a $6 reimbursement for the $1,000 of goods. It being pointed out that was above what the State mandates. Net is that Longoria did nothing illegal, they were prompt and did not charge us for a one day delay due to our closing slipping 24 hours. They did have us sign the acknowledgement of 60 cents per pound liability as the move began, lots of choices then, right? However Longoria also under estimated the amount of property and we had to rent a 22' U-Haul to complete the move on our own(another $200 or so). The new owners of the house we sold were held up a single night moving in and thus demanded $750 for us not getting out on time. If we had been offered additional insurance we would have purchased it. If Longoria had declined moving the desk we would have contracted it separately. If we knew they under estimated by a truck the amount of goods we would have selected another mover. Hindsight is 20/20 yet I would look for another partner when it is your turn to move. We received a larger than a State required check, $250 as opposed to the required $189 yet feel betrayed, we love our new home but have nightmare stories to share as to getting here. Most say most movers operate in this manner, I can say for a fact Longoria does. The choice is yours. Good luck.

The price was great and the person scheduling was great. She told me that she had a big job that day, but she could find two staff members to help me. (maybe they were her secondary staff?) She was very informative, almost like a mama hen. I appreciated it. We planned on them coming and packing our kitchen breakables. I was advised to go and buy all of the packing materials at Ecobox. Great advice. The day of the move: They were late. They were sloppy and complained a lot. They hassled us for tips. Since this review, the owner has commented that they changed some policies at their company and no longer have one of the two men I reviewed.

Longoria is perhaps the most professional, most-together moving company I have ever encountered, and I've moved a lot -- using national firms as well as local men. Not only was Langoria's office staff quite clear and responsive about pricing, estimates and times, the movers themselves were professional, careful, patient and nimble on their feet. I was horribly unorganized, but the two movers were swift and able to work around me. Not only that, I realized when I got to Stillwater, that I had left stuff behind in my separate apartment storage unit. Langoria picked it up and has held it for me while they find someone who can move it up here. And in Stillwater, they added two movers to make the unloading go rapidly. You will not find a better mover to make the awful day of moving a lot less hellish.

They were really friendly. And their team worked really hard. They worked all day long.

Provider followed up after I sent in a review and was kind and apologetic.

There was a lot of whining by one of the workers, and minimal regard for condition of goods

Poorly - see above information. I would have much preferred that an email have been sent that says, 'sorry, we are already booked for the day(s)' to no response at all. We could have starting calling others much sooner. Their poor response and our naive wait time based on their other Angie's List reviews combined to leave us in the lurch.

Sent email to the company late afternoon and had response soon after and work lined up for the next day. Movers were on time and helpful and very careful with our items.

We chose Longoria Moving after reading the reviews on Yelp and the reviews were correct!!! We had an effortless move. Jack, Derrick, and Chris met my husband at the storage unit at about 9:00 am, then went to the apartment and finished at our new house in four hours! I have never worked with a more professional crew - they even had a great sense of humor. We will recommend Longoria Moving to anyone!!

With so little time to find movers the LONGORIA MOVING company did an excellent job with such short notice of less than one week to move me from one location to another. I will recommend them to family and friends for any of their moving needs. I feel very fortunate to have done business with them. I am so please - moving can be so stressful and they took a load off me. :}

These guys were great. This move could not have been more complicated - three different stops, a piano, a refrigerator, a huge grill, a super heavy dresser that had to go upstairs. They were on time on the dot and worked hard. They were friendly but fun and quite professional definitely knew their stuff. They were VERY protective of my walls and floors. Just the nicest guys ever and will absolutely use them again.

I had experience with two different crews and they were both great. Set everything up with the ultra-helpful office manager and then the crews showed up on time at different locations on the two moving days. They were personable, fast, careful and professional. They worked hard and got it done in the agreed upon time. I could not have been happier with this moving experience. I've already recommended Longoria to two friends. Top notch performance from these folks!!

I left a message for Longoria, detailing requested aspects of my move...never heard back. No issued calls form them, no messages, nothing.

We were able to schedule the move on a weekend for the date we needed. The movers were on time, worked quickly and were very careful with each piece they moved.

Initially it was very difficult to make contact, so much so, that I was concerned as that did not fit with prior reviews. Once I made contact, I was very pleased from beginning to end. An office employee had resigned leaving only the owners wife to "do it all" while looking for a new employee. She offered to come to my home and give me a binding quote. I requested a quote both including and not including the grand piano going to the second floor of my new home. The quote was indeed binding. No surprises. I chose to have my piano moved by Longoria. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the 4 men sent to move my things. They were very respectful of my furniture..all of it and did not complain once about getting that piano up a flight of stairs. They were very cautious with all my furniture and my newly painted new home. There was minimal touch-up required in only One room , the room I use as an office which has very large, heavy furniture. I could not have been more impressed! They arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently. Not only would I use them again, I have and will continue recommending them to friends. Everyone who sees the grand piano on the second floor wants to know who got it up the stairs! My apologies to Longoria Moving for not completing this review sooner.

I was trying to call this company to offer them a job... Well, it didn't go well. I called them first time yesterday and left detailed message of what I need to move, when and left them my phone# asking to call me back - they never returned my call. I decided to call them once again, as the reviews were great on Angie's list. So I tried - voice mail again. Really? Are you so busy you will not return you potential client's phone calls? Very dissapointed Update to my review: Longoria Moving called me today, apologized (what I really appreciated!) for not returning my previous calls and offered to give me a quote. We are moving but not with Longoria Moving this time.

Longoria Moving was excellent to work with. I had to reschedule my moving date several times and they were flexible & worked with me to finalize a new date. They recommended an hourly rate and a 3 man crew which worked great. They arrived on time and were extremely professional and handled all my furniture with great care. I highly recommend them.

Longoria Moving, including the owners and their employees, is the best moving company we have ever used. From the day Emily came to do an inventory to prepare the estimate through both moves, they were in contact with me about all the details and the final cost was exactly as quoted. Their moving crew members are professional and courteous and they were so careful with our belongings, which included antique furniture and breakable items. They all made moving at least bearable. We will recommend them to all of our friends and business associates without hesitattion or qualification.

AMAZING. If Angie's List had an A+ rating, these guys would have gotten it. Prompt, professional, superb customer service. I would absolutely use them again.

.Everything went great. Everyone got right to work and continued at a great pace the entire time. There were three movers and they each put out a great effort even to moving a very, very heavy queen sleeper sofa from upstairs. Gotta give them props for that. When it was delivered the bed was taken out to make it lighter. Not these guys---took it down just like it was. Very polite and very agreeable while trying to put things where we wanted it to go. That was interesting since we were going into about 800 square feet less and really had no idea how the furniture was going to fit in. But they were very patient. They arrived at 9:00, loaded truck, went by a second house, dropped off and picked up what was needed there, and then unloaded at the end house. Everything was done, in place at least until we changed our minds, and they were gone by around 3:30. Everything was handled carefully and skillfully. Thanks so much.

It went great. The owner was wonderful to deal with and the two movers were terrific. We made several trips ourselves with smaller things but the movers took many large boxes and all the large furniture pieces. They were friendly and respectful of our things. I noticed the next day that 2 pieces of glass from the top of a table were missing. We thought they would show up as we continued to put things away. My husband and I went out to eat and when we got back the movers had placed them by our front door. They must have been overlooked in the truck. They were all wrapped up in plastic and cardboard. So thoughtful of them to bring them back. I highly recommend Longoria Moving and they will be the first company I call the next time I move.

Two guys came, on time and moved a bunch of furniture and boxes. They were fast, professional and friendly. Would use them again.
