LONGHORN LANDSCAPE LIGHTING

I have 3 outside light fixtures that are not working. When I purchased the lights and installation from Longhorn Services, I also paid extra for the Triple Lifetime Warranty Protection Plan to cover these repairs. Longhorn Services has not been responsive to repair requests for over 1 year (see below dates). I have both hard copies of the warranty from Longhorn Services from my original purchase (dated 1/2/2003) as well as email documentation directly from Longhorn stating that I have they are obligated to provide service for this warranty. Problem date reported to Longhorn Services: Sept 27, 2010 (over 1 year). I have email documentation showing conversations on: 10/5/2010, 10/6/2010, 10/7/2010, 11/9/2010, 3/2/2011, 4/15/2011, 5/14/2011, 11/6/2011. Numerous phone calls were also made (and documented). After submitted a complaint to the BBB, I finally got a response from the owner, Louis Petrik. He said he was unwilling to stand behind the warranty they sold me, and that my complaint should be with the manufacturer of the light fixtures. As Longhorn was unwilling to meet their commitments, I had to pay a different landscape lighting service to repair the system at my own cost. Based on my experiences, I do not suggest doing business with Louis in the future in any capacity. It looks like he has shut down Longhorn Landscape Lighting and is now running a company called Christmas Decor (http://christmasdecor.net).

The price was okay, but the work is a little shoddy. Sprinkler heads are not even with the ground surface, and valve boxes are too low and need to be raised. Their is a dead spot that does not get watered and the grass there has died. They dug ditches in the wrong place and unnecessarily cut up my lawn. I complained, but they thought these things were okay and didn't want to correct them.

We set up an appointment, they did not show up. I called and had to leave a call back message. They never called back.

Longhorn Landscape totally changed the look of my lawn. I was very happy with the results they provided us. They came up with the design, that I was satisfied with and went right by it. I have no complaints with any of their service. Our lawn looked fresh and beautiful. The design they came up with was perfect.
