I had a representative, Curtis Woodlock, of ATX Roofing come to my door offering his services to replace my roof due to storms. I did have some damage but I hadn't filed a claim as of yet. Curtis seemed like a good guy we talked a while he gave me a birds eye glance of things. I took his card. Pulling up Angies I was able to find ATX Roofing though when I entered roofing for my area they didn't show in the resultset..uncertain as to why. They were listed with (License: Yes, Bonded: Yes, Insured Yes, Free Estimate: Yes) I later sent Curtis an email at his email address (CurtisWoodlock@yahoo.com). I mentioned he had stopped bye and asked if he could come and give me an estimate for the work needed. Primarily I wanted him to let me know in his professional opinion if my roof was damaged enough that would warrant replacement by my insurance. His response to me was surprisingly rude. He went on a tyraid about fraud against insurance companies, how it was illegal etc. He did a lot of it in all capital letters i.e. screaming at me. The other odd thing was he responded from texastriangleservicesllc@yahoo.com with a signiture of Curtis Woodlock Texas Triangle Services, LLC? This I felt was odd..I thought I was dealing with ATX Roofing?? I responded that I had no intention of fraud I simply wanted an estimate and their professional opinion on the damage to the roof. At this point I felt we were done. I wasn't going to mention anything here about it. Several days later he responded to me again...and again he was rude. He said "I needed" to re-read his first several lines and ignore the last 3 lines of his previous note. That an esimtate was a waste of his time. This time I responded saying he should stop "Yelling" at me in all caps that it was rude. I then repeated what I primarily wanted was their professional opinion on the damage to the roof. I also added several other questions...i.e. Is the company licensed, Bonded, Insured and could he provide proof thereof. This time he responded with all shouting caps again putting words in my mouth saying that "I AM CLUELESS AS TO HOW IT ALL WORKS" and that I had no idea what I was saying that bonds are required and asserting a license didn't exist. I had never insisted on these things I merely asked if they had them and if so could they provide proof. Also, I'll refer back to the listing itself which had these very classifications i.e. License, Bonded, Insurance and Free Estimates indicated as "Yes". I told him he'd provided enough information for me to easily decide not to go with them and the he needn't respond any more. But he couldn't resist sending another response telling me I had no brain lol. I can't attest to any of their work and it's possible this individual is merely a contracted sales agent..I'm not sure. But ff this is how these guys communicate and deal with potential customers I can't fathom what it would be like to try and resolve a problem with them.

I will need to call another company for the repairs as Lone Star has not responded and I do not want further damage to the inside of my house where the leak is.
Description of Work: We had our roof replaced in June of 2009 by Lone Star. Less than 3 years later the roof is leaking. I have left multipe messages with the "answering service", a girl that says "Hello" not "Lonestar Roofing" when called and received no response. I have called other locations from their website, those numbers are all no longer in use. I learned a lesson the hard way. Make sure when you get a new roof to get someone local that has been here a long time and has a real address not a P.O.box. Lone Star Roofing is a scam.

They were competitive on the pricing compared to the others that we looked at. We had very good interaction with the representative. The work went very well. My husband was very particular about how they put the roof on and what they did and met his expectations. They were efficient in getting the job done and did good work and cleaned up well after themselves; with roofing that is important.
Description of Work: I used Lonestar Roofing over a year ago in August for roof replacement.

I am very happy with the workers from Lonestar. The roof looks great. Our roof is very complicated and they did a great job at it. They did high quality work and they were pretty professional about it. I recommend them and I would use them again.

They were very good, though it took them several weeks to start due to the large number of homes hit at the time, and almost all roofers were very busy. They kept us updated on the start date.
Description of Work: The company performed a full roof replacement after my home was hit by hail.

Very good job. The guys got to my home first thing in the morning. They were delayed a bit because all of their ladders were stolen the previous night, but were on the roof working by 10AM. They worked until dark and finished up the small details the following morning. Had they been able to start on time the job would have been completed the same day. Cleanup was very good with very little debris left behind. They were also the only company that we talked to that would take full responsibility for damage to rain gutters. All others said that the roof was too steep to guarantee no damage.
Description of Work: Replace roof on 2900 sq ft home. Install ridge vents.
