Lone star carpet

Tony came out to our home and measured for our hardwood floors and travertine. We went to his showroom, and another showroom that he does business with. My wife and I were looking for something a bit different, which is fine for Tony. We took pictures of the products that we wanted in our home, and the way we wanted it installed. Tony got us discounted prices on the products, and we agreed on the price. We set a date for installation, and we were off. Mario and his crew, (Ronnie,Nelson, and Walter) started on a Thursday and worked three weeks straight to get the job done. Mario and his crew did an outstanding job, and cleaned up every night. The size of the project was very large, but they handled it in a professional manner. They kept the dust to a minimum, and were excellent craftsman when laying the flooring. They also put new baseboard in the entire home and it looks great. I thank Tony, Mario, Ronnie, Nelson and Walter for doing a great job, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great deal on flooring. They did not say 'no' to anything that we wanted to do in our home. We are very satisfied.

The estimate was immediate. I got three estimates and his was the best. Save your time in getting multiple bids -- just hire Tony! Beyond the carpet, he was able to handle the laminate fixes as well at a reasonable price. He worked around my schedule, which was critical. I have already referred two friends to him and will continue to refer people to him.

Lone Star was one of 3 bids. Their bid was slightly lower than the other two. Tony came out measured the rooms, asked pertinent questions and promised a formal bid in about 3 days. Received the bid as promised. It was detailed and comprehensive and reflected the key points we had discussed. After awarding the project to Lone Star, Tony coordinated and communicated key next steps in a timely and comprehensive fashion. The bathroom's were done first. The guys who did the work were diligent and persistent. They were able to complete the job pretty much as agreed to. The quality of their work was outstanding. The carpet installation occurred a few days later as the carpet we chose had to be ordered. Again, the installation went without a hitch. Old carpet was removed and new carpet and pad installed in one day. We removed only technology--TV's, computer and stereo. They removed and then replaced all the furniture, including beds, couch, chairs, etc. They did a great job of leaving the worksite as they found it. Tony was great in his communication and coordination. Overall, very pleased with the entire project.

The owner (I believed) worked with my wife and was very accommodating in getting to us as quickly as possible. The crew called to let us know when they were on their way, showed up when expected, and were very professional and clean as they worked. The carpet looks almost new and we are very happy with the results. Would absolutely use them again!

Called Tony Rodriguez and made appointment for him to come out and take measurements of my bedrooms. Went to his showroom and picked up carpet samples. Took them home and decided on color. My chosen color happened to be on back order (popular choice)! Within a few weeks, the carpet arrived and Tony was able to install my new carpet before Christmas!! The installers were professional, courteous and proficient! Cleaned up after themselves which really impressed me; and very easy to work with when it came to replacing the furniture in the rooms! A very pleasant experience! I highly recommend them!!! Simply love my new carpet!!!

Everything went great. Tony was a joy to work with. Prices were much cheaper than other bids. We saved enough on the flooring to do the shower - it looks fantastic all around.

Tony came to measure. One of his guys came and did the job quickly and cleaned up. It looks great! This is my second time to use Tony and Lone Star Carpet. Tony and his guys are very professional!

Tony R. and others were very easy to work with, from the initial measurement, to the carpet selection, to the installation. I will contact Lone Star with my future flooring needs.

Tony was quick to respond to my request for a quote and then he was flexible on the installation date. I was very pleased with how the carpet turned out. I would definitely use Lone Star Carpet again.

The ceramic tile flooring job went perfect and it looks awesome. The contractors used by Lone Star to replace the wood floor (different from the ceramic tile floor) had to be called back out to redo the job because they didn't get the pattern right in the floor. When they came out to repair that, they broke adjoining ceramic tile at the doorway and had to come back out to repair that job. Lone star stood behind it and assured that the job was completed appropriately.

I had no complaints with the carpet replacement but the promptness showing up when they should and staying 'til the job was done without running off to do another job, they had a lot lacking. I think the price is reasonable. I don't have any problems with the actual work. It's fast. It was more the business end of it saying they'd show up at a certain time in the morning and being hours later or coming in and working for a couple of hours and then off. They probably overbooked themselves so it wasn't finished in a timely manner. It kind of drove me nuts not knowing when they're going to show up or how much they were going to get done before they run off again. I would rule them out but they probably would be my first choice.

They did a really good job on that. They discussed everything. I talked to the owner and it was very nice. It was a small job.

Tony quoted two ways to fix the problem. He recommended the cheaper method for the remedy. The method that he recommended worked and the carpet looks great

Barbara Thielepape brought samples of carpet to our home. We looked a very many sample before deciding. She hauled samples back and forth cheerfully. We chose a carpet which was more expensive than the one she originally recommended. So, I think they are not out to sell the most expensive carpet. This is the second time we have used Lone Star with Barbara. They are a great locally owned company. I would use them again in a minute.

I knew we wanted to install hardwood laminate flooring in our home and we did a lot of research. You really get what you pay for, and Tony and his team offer a superior product at a very competitive price. Tony is very responsive by text and email, gives you a free estimate, and really takes the time to explain what his team will be doing, and suggesting helpful tips for a better and cheaper installation. For example, the prior owners had installed an extremely cheap and ungly laminate in one of the bedrooms that we needed removed and replaced. Tony quoted me a price for removing the old laminate, but also showed me how to remove it myself if I wanted to save some money. I got a lot of quotes but picked Tony because he had a good variety of wood laminate colors and offered a Quietwalk system at a competitive price. His team was done on time, fixed any problem areas that we brought to their attention, and acted in a professional and courteous manner. My in-laws opted for a bargain basement hardwood floor installer and within months their wood flooring was warped and concave. Their installed did nothing to address the problem. I picked Tony because I knew he and his team have the expertise to do a great job, and most importantly I knew he would stand behind his product. I highly recommend Tony and Lone Star Carpet.

The existing tile in our home was so attached to the foundation that NO ONE recommended we demo it. They all said to put something over it if we wanted to change the look. We are getting ready to put our house on the market in the spring and decided to put wood laminate, carpet and new tile down over the existing tile in a lot of the home. We are so happy with the results! Tony Rodriguez and his team did an awesome job. Tony was our contact at the company, he brought flooring samples all the way out to our house in Taylor. We had 3 other Angies List flooring companies come give estimates and Tony's was the best. Plus, his main installer is also a handyman which is really what we needed here since there are some quirky speed bumps inherent to this house. They were attentive to my questions, and my requests. I won't lie, it was really dusty, but even one of the installers said to me that he feels bad for clients because he knows renovations can sometimes turn a house upside down for a little while. Just the simple acknowledgement made the dust seem less important. They did their best to clean up after themselves every night, which I also appreciated. They purposefully left plenty of extra tile and carpet remnants, and Tony is ordering us an extra box of laminate to have in case we have any flooring accidents, which is pretty great. I highly recommend Lone Star Carpets for your next flooring project.

I’ve used them for a long time. He knows I’m really picky and he made sure everything was right and plus they very reasonable. They buy in bulk and so their price kind of reflects it. I think their pricing is excellent. The quality of their work has been excellent. If not, they definitely make it right immediately. They tell me when they’re going to do it and they’re usually there. I’m always been happy with them. They’ve always showed up when they said they were.

The salesperson, Tony, arrived as scheduled, measured, and emailed the proposal the next day. Price was competitive, job was completed as scheduled, and the installers did an excellent job. Tony followed up the next day to make certain we were happy. Highly recommend this company.

Lone Star was great on all aspects of the job. We needed the installation done in two stages because we were painting rooms as we emptied them of furniture. Barbara at Lone Star accomodated each request without a problem. The installation crew was fast, courteous, and professional. Our house looks brand new!

My wife and I contacted several flooring companies for estimates. Tony contacted us right away and we made an appointment for the estimate. He arrived punctually and with a very nice and upbeat attitude. He took time to answer all our questions and explained different options to us. He made himself available in the planning process and pointed out items we had to reconsider. Finally the flooring team arrived as scheduled. They where friendly and done in no time. They cleaned up after themselves very well. Tony came next day to follow up and inspect the handiwork. He check back with us a week later. Everything went well and looks great.

Recently we purchased a house with the intent of my daughter and her husband living in it after remodeling it. I established a rough estimate for the repairs prior to the purchase of the home utilizing a broad spectrum of information from different suppliers, subcontractors and past experience. Once the sale went through it was time to get down to the real project with real dollar amounts. I contacted several flooring companies for turnkey pricing as well as breakout pricing for materials. Some were willing to quote that way and others were not. I had heard about Lone Star from a friend who had used them to install laminates in their house and was very happy with their work. I contacted Tony Rodriguez to set up a meeting at their showroom so we could see their products. He agreed to meet us on his day off since that was the only time we had available. I immediately felt comfortable with Tony and he was very competitive in his pricing. As the project got underway we encountered some unforeseen issues which added cost into other areas of the project. In order to stay within earshot of my original budget I decided to self perform some of the flooring work myself. Upon contacting the different flooring contractors several were not willing to work with me in that manner. When I contacted Tony about this he was more than willing to do so. He also worked with us on different material quotes to get us back into the realm of our overall budget. He continued to work with us throughout the project in expediting materials and turnkey installation of the carpet. Lone Star in general, and Tony in particular, was very accommodating to our needs throughout the pre-construction and construction phase. I recommend them highly and will utilize them on future projects.

We got a recomendation on David Burke who after two weeks got back to us and was too busy to deal with us. He recommended William Mcclullen a young guy who seemed to be very nice once he showed up on the RIGHT DAY of the appointment!! We have 3 houses that we needed Lone Stars Service for. After finally getting the last written estimate after 10 estimates with different scenerios and taking the time to show him the different houses and what we needed, we agreed on a date for installation and based on the laminante floor we picked we choose the color of the walls. He made sure the floor was in stock and confirmed the day of installation. So that same day the walls got painted accordingly to the shade and tone of the floor we picked out. Meanwhile we had yet again another appointment with him the next morning at 8am to show him yet another property where we also needed Lone Stars services which he never showed up to. When we called him he basically said that he had a MORE important meeting and had to cancel...he tells us this at 8.05am!!! Not only he can't show up for the appointment where we wanting to give Lone Star MORE buisness but he cancelled on all the work, instalation that was supposed to be done on the other houses! He kept saying he was coming out negative and he had to back out of all the work. he NEVER once gave us the option to pay whateverr more to be able to do the work..OMG come on!!! who does this??? When we looked closer at his bids we realized that he may have cuaoted us less then he should have but seriously how does a person in this field keep get his numbers off on 10 bids! He wasted a week and a half, put us way behind schedule since we had to find time all over again and make appts with other companies to do the job. Very unprofesional and basically an idiot at math even with a calculator.

Tony was really nice to work with and found a very good installer for a very unique custom carpet job. Would use him again.

Tony was very flexible! Our closing date was changed a few times and he accommodated us. His crew was able to complete the installation in one day. Once they arrived they immediately went to work and did not stop until they were complete. Tony followed up many times to make sure that everything was done the way we wanted it. My husband and I are planning on doing more work in the future and will definitely use Lone Star Carpets.

I was extremely pleased with the entire experience working with Tony at Lone Star Carpet. He cheerfully came out to measure and provide an estimate, even when (at the time) I requested a quote for installation only. Ultimately, his pricing for not only installation, but for materials as well beat out my other source, so Lone Star was contracted to do the entire job. Leading up to the day of installation, I asked many questions, and each time, Tony responded with patience and efficiency. On the day of installation, his two-man crew worked tirelessly and efficiently to get the job done in one very long workday. They were carefull with moving all of my furniture and cleaned up all of the mess that resulted in removal of very old and dirty carpet and pad. They also did an excellent job with the detailed work on the stairs. Following installation, I had a slight problem which probably resulted from normal use of the installation equipment. Tony came back out and addressed it in a very timely manner once it was communicated to him. I would not hesitate to use this company again and would recommend them to others.
