Lone star carpet

They came out at a time convenient time to measure & provide an estimate. Samples were also brought. We were replacing 14 year old carpeting to get the house ready for sale, and the rep totally respected that in his information & recommendations. We needed to have the installation done on a Saturday, which they said could be done. A few days before the scheduled installation, I received a call that the carpet I requested would not be here in time for the installation date. They had another color in stock and took $1/yd off of the cost for the inconvenience. The installation was done on time and looks great!

Because our job was so small, the owner of the company told us that he could not justify taking a cut. So he sent an installer out the very next day, and he did the whole job in about an hour for the total cost of $100. I was so happy that it was so reasonable and quick, because my husband had removed the carpet from one closet months before and was too sick to finish the job himself. What an honorable owner!! You'd better believe we'll call him again should we need carpet work!

They do a good job. I have used them for twenty years. Their prices are fair and their installations are quick; it is a rental property and that is what is important to me. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

I had initially only wanted new carpet in 2 rooms, and stretching the carpet in one. Frank came out for the consultation. He was very professional and came right on time. After the installation and stretching, the 2 rooms with new carpet looked great! The problem was that the stretching of the third room was only done on half the room. I called Frank and explained the problem. After talking about it, I decided to go ahead and replace the carpet in the third room, instead of having them come back and stretch it again. After the install of the 3rd room, another problem. I could see the seam in the middle of the room. I called Frank and he came out the very next morning. He was very apologetic and professional, and we set up a time to fix it. They did! =) My overall opinion: Frank is a great guy. Professional, punctual, and just an all around nice man. The problem is, is that the crews they send out to do the work are going as fast as they can so that they can move on to the next of 5 jobs that day. If the crews would slow down and cared half as much about the job as Frank does, they would only have to come out once.

They are really good. The job went fine. They showed up and finished their work quickly and were on their way. I have only good things to say about them. The quality of the carpet is perfect. They used good materials. The guys who came to do the work were quick and fast. They did not take unnecessary breaks. They were professional and finished the work on time.

We are trying to sell our house and needed carpet for the stairs, so we wanted something inexpensive but good work. Tony came to our house and gave us an estimate and left samples for us to decide on. He said they could have it done the next day if we wanted. The carpet looks great and we are extremely happy.

They were good. Their price was very good anditwas very competitive. They did a very good job.

I called Tony and was impressed with his attitude. He pulled samples and left them for me at the shop. Another person helped me at the shop and gave me exactly what I wanted. The product was delivered on time and looks great.

Although this was a small job, I had excellent service. After I picked out the carpet, it arrived in less than a week and installation was scheduled shortly after. The crew did an excellent job installing the carpet and were very professional. I'll be hiring them again when I'm ready to recarpet the other bedrooms.

Excellent service. Arrived on day and time scheduled. Finished job in less time than quoted. Met all of our demands during the installation and worked within our schedule during the install. Installation crew did a fantastic job and were very professional and timely and trustworthy. I am now working with the sales rep on the punch list for minor fixes needed. Sales and install crew were very accomodating.

We first visited a big box store and selected a high quality Mohawk SmartStrand carpet. They came out and measured and gave us a bid of about $3500. We weren't too concerned about the price, but we were concerned that it was going to take 10 days or more for them to deliver and install the carpet. (We had already torn out the carpet in our master bedroom to fix a squeaky floor, so time was a big factor for us.) When we found out about the delivery date, I checked Angie's List and found Lone Star Carpet. I talked to Tony Rodriquez. He had an in-stock carpet that was almost the exact same color and pattern as the big box store, just not as thick, and he was able to install it NEXT DAY. As a huge bonus, his price was less than half what the big box store bid. (The price is not apples-to-apples, because the big box bid was for a higher-quality carpet.) Lone Star came out on schedule and did a beautiful job installing the carpet. We're not sorry at all that we went with the cheaper in-stock carpet, and we used the money we saved to buy some new living room furniture. A couple of nits . . . walking in my bare feet, I've felt some staples while walking up the stairs. They're not sharp . . . I just notice them. My wife, who weighs half what I do, can't feel them. Also the installers tied some of our drapery panels in a knot to get them out of the way, which left them badly wrinkled and I had to iron them. Lesson learned . . . if you think it might get in their way, move it before they get to your house. But as I say, those are just nits. I would definitely use Lone Star again.

I called Lone Star, and told them that I needed new carpet, but only because I was getting the house ready for sale. The salesman, Frank Menzel, really listened to me and only brought me samples that were decent quality, but not overly expensive. Their installers were in there within 48 hours of signing the contract & the results were beautiful. Given the price & quality, I decided to have them replace the flooring in the bathrooms & finish off my DIY wood laminate flooring install. I initially wanted ceramic tile, however knowing that I was just going to sell the house, they brought me vinyl samples. I was skeptical at first, but the vinyl looked just like tile, so I selected a pattern. Again, they were in and out very quickly to do the work. However, to my surprise, they didn't use the faux tile pattern I selected. Instead they installed sheet vinyl that looked exactly like the wood laminate in the adjacent living room. I would have been irritated, but the results were so gorgeous, it was alright. They also did a great job installing the transitions & trim work for the laminate flooring. My condo sold in 24 hours, and I have no doubt that Lone Star's work in making the place look fresh & new had a big part in that. I wish I had more work for them.

They came about 20% cheaper than another company I received an estimate from for the same carpet. They did a great job.

An excellent experience. Frank from Lone Star was very knowledgeable about our his products and made very good estimates for carpet needs. Other companies were quoting 20% more carpet than Frank did and his estimate was all that was required. The installation crew was very thorough and skilled in installation. Overall a very good company to do business with.

Great! Barbara asked what sort of a look we wanted and then brought samples of everything to the house. She suggested we keep samples to get a good idea of what would work best. We originally selected tile for the wall splash, but it turned out it was being phased out and not available in the quantity we needed. She brought more samples and ended up making a suggestion that we loved.

This company is excellent. This is not the first time I have used them and definitely won't be the last. When I went to the store to purchase the carpet, they were very friendly and answered any questions I may have had. The installation was a breeze for them, they really know what they are doing and I can trust them to do a good job for me.

The workers who came out were very nice and they spoke English, which is great. They came out on time and the price was fair. When they finished, we were happy with the work and would recommend them to anyone looking to install carpet in their house.

They were always on time and installed the carpet throughout the house and the linoleum in the kitchen and bathrooms in a professional manner. This company also understood that we wanted to get the house sold, so they didn't try to up charge me on things.

I was very pleased. Tony responded very quickly, did a free estimate and measure and had samples and estimates the first time he came out. The price was good and installation is nice. Even though it was a small job, I felt I was just as important as someone with a big job. This is in contrast to a big box store that charged for measuring, wouldn't remove the carpet because it was pet stained, and had a minimum labor charge.
